| (You wander into the Fountain Plaza in Daybreak Town and hear the Moogle cry out. Moogle comes sliding on the ground and stops are your feet.) | |

| (You lean down to help Moogle. Moogle leaps up.) | |
| Moogle: | I failed, kupo. Not even Team Moogle could do it, kupo. |
| (Moogle notices your presence.) | |
| Moogle: | Kupo? |
| Ah! It's my favourite customer, kupo! | |
| Were you listening just now, kupo? | |
| Yes yes, you came just at the right time, kupo! | |
| I thought I'd lend you this, kupo. | |
| (Moogle gives you an item.) | |
| Prompt: | You borrowed a Light Drawing Bangle. |
| Moogle: | With this, you can extract crystals of light from Raid Bosses, kupo. |
| You look confused, kupo! Keep listening then, kupo. | |
| If you collect crystals of light for me, I'll trade you for items that will come in handy on your travels, kupo. | |

| (Moogle takes the Light Draw Bangle back.) | |

| Moogle: | See you, kupo. |
| (Moogle races off. He is seen later talking to a figure hidden in an alleyway.) | |
| Moogle: | Why would you go to all this bother, kupo? |
| You could have just given it to them directly, kupo. | |
| (Moogle gives the figure the bangle.) | |
| ???: | Yes. I suppose that's true, but I guess it's not the right time yet. |
| You got something out of it too, so what does it matter? | |
| Moogle: | Kupopo... |
| But, I don't like tricking my favourite customer, kupo. | |
| ???: | A trick, you say. |
| Their mission and our goal happened to be the same, that's all. | |
| I'm sure I'll need you again in the future. | |
| I'll be counting on you then. | |
| (The figure vanishes.) | |
| Moogle: | This is turning bad, kupo... |
Collect the Crystals of Light Again, kupo
| (History repeats itself as you wander back to the Fountain Plaza and hear the Moogle cry out. Moogle comes sliding on the ground and stops at your feet.) | |

| Kupooo! | |
| (You lean down to help Moogle. Moogle leaps up.) | |
| Moogle: | I failed again, kupooo. |
| I guess it really is too much for me, kupooo. | |
| (Moogle notices your presence.) | |
| Moogle: | Ah! It's you again, kupo. |
| Well, I guess it really is impossible without your help, kupo... | |
| (Moogle gives you the bangle again.) | |
| Prompt: | You borrowed the Light Draw Bangle again. |
| Moogle: | If you have that, you can extract Crystals of Light from the Raid Bosses, kupo. |

| (You return to the Fountain Plaza to meet with the Moogle.) | |

| (Moogle takes the Light Draw Bangle back.) | |

| (Moogle races off. He is seen later talking to the same figure as before, hidden in an alleyway.) | |
| Moogle: | I did end up co-operating with you, kupooo. |
| ???: | You're making the right choice. |
| (Moogle gives the figure the bangle.) | |
| Moogle: | Kupopo… |
| I'm sure I have happy customers, too, kupo. | |
| ???: | You see, then? |
| This is essential to their mission. | |
| I'll call on you again, then. | |
| (The figure vanishes.) | |
| Moogle: | I guess it's the only way, kupo... |
Mission in the Corridor of Darkness
| (You meet Chirithy in the Fountain Plaza.) | |
| Chirithy: | Hey there. |
| You're always going at it with all you got, huh? | |
| I brought along a little something for our little hard worker. | |
| Tan-ta-raaaaan~ | |
| Beads of Light~ | |
| (Chirithy puts the Beads of Light on your wrist. You raise your arm into the air to celebrate.) | |
| Chirithy: | Hey, hey, you don't need to be quite that excited, stop flashing that around and put it away, put it away. |
| If you have the Beads of Light on, they can protect you from being devoured by the darkness. | |
| Actually, you have been awarded a special mission directly from the Foreteller, ok, and you are going to need those. | |
| You'll still be defeating Heartless, but you'll be doing it in a place called a Corridor of Darkness. | |
| We want you to defeat Heartless in the Corridor of Darkness. That's your new mission. | |
| But, be careful. | |
| The Beads of Light can only protect you from the darkness for a set period of time. | |
| Y-yeah, that's the spirit. | |
| Don't push yourself too hard, but do your best! | |
Return from the Corridor of Darkness
| (You and Chirithy exit out of a Dark Corridor and return to Daybreak Town.) | |
| Chirithy: | Awesome job! |
| That's all for missions in the corridor of darkness for now. | |

| (Later, Chirithy meets with your Union's Foreteller in the tower.) | |
| Foreteller: | I see… All's well that ends well, I suppose. |
| (Foreteller starts to walk away. Chirithy chases after them to inquire more.) | |
| Chirithy: | Um, hey, Foreteller… |
| Don't you think… it was a little early for that mission? | |
| Foreteller: | It is necessary to expedite (Player's) growth. |
| They must develop resistance to darkness as soon as possible. | |
| Chirithy: | Why? |
| Foreteller: | The rise of the forces of darkness draws closer. |
| Until that time, the number of our kin of the light must be increased as much as possible. | |
