It's pretty, but I already have a wayfinder and I don't wear pendants xD

Well I won't be getting this one, but it could make a nice (geek-y) present for a girlfriend.

Oh man I was so hype until I saw the price

That's a lot of yen.

That looks pretty, but at 18.5 mm x 18 mm, it might not be recognisable as a Wayfinder from a distance. Its shape might not even be discernible if you aren't standing near the wearer, haha.

Still, it can make for a beautiful gift, whether or not the recipient is a KH fan! The main problem: the price. :P

And here I am still trying to acquire the Kairi's Lucky Charm pendant. Yeah, I'll just stick to that for fanboy reasons xD
But if I can get another, this wayfinder will be next on my hitlist...

That's really nice, but it's a tad bit small, quite feminine if you ask me (I'm a guy so these things matter since if I paid $100 for it, I'M WEARING IT), and as stated, it's expensive. I'll have to see if I get it, but usually I don't, too pricey for me for something that doesn't justify it...

Buy it for me!

I always wanted the Thalassa Charm necklace they released but never was able to purchase it. ;~; I'd love to get this one.

lol If it wasn't so expensive, I'd love to get stuff for the staff here sometimes, but I work to buy and I spend it all on KH and then I never have anymore :(

Okay, after staring at it and I can't figure it out, I need everyone's help, do you think the necklace is feminine? I think I'm telling myself that as a way to cope with not being able to get it, but if it's not feminine, I can save...till December...

I tend to think it leans more toward the feminine side considering the size and delicate impression it gives off at first sight. This is just my personal view, so please don't flame me. XD

Aw, that's sweet.

It's more towards the "feminine side" due to the stereotyped notion that jewelry is purely feminine and not masculine at all. Whatever you're comfortable with is what's important, though.

No doubt this is a response to the 2.5 survey. But, this is a tad small, even though it's a necklace. And that price is crazy, for just one pendant. I mean, if this came with a $110 collector's edition of 2.5, I'd pre-order that in a heartbeat, but for JUST this? No thanks. But it looks great.

I'm not so sure it is given I think that survey was for NA, so it'd be weird to have NA say we want wayfinders and then make it JPN exclusive, I still hope they actually just make wayfinder keychains since that's essentially what they were in BbS.

Oh yeah! I keep forgetting that the survey was just a NA thing. Well, hopes are back up then, I guess.

Well we are talking about the company which never gave us the Final Mixes.

Expect the unexpected ;)

And they did give us Final Mix, no? Didn't Nomura himself state that he had actually wanted to make FM available worldwide and not just in Japan?

It's no way that SE isn't aware of how KH is a big thing outside of Japan. To be honest, I personally think that they really should take advantage of it and make their merchandise available worldwide. I am positively certain that doing so will be met with positive feedback, generate lots of interest, and at the same time ramp up sales.

I meant that they didn't give it to us in the PS2 era. Nor did they release Re:CoM in Europe, even though it's the same game basically.

Kingdom Hearts might be massively huge, but these can be considered luxury items that your average fan won't spend a lot of money on. SE used to sell a bunch of this stuff back in the day in the states, but it's expensive to import, expensive to list, and hard to sell to an audience when your online shop doesn't have a huge presence.

(Also with SE using Digital River these days and just being an overall incompetent company, nobody wants to deal with their online services)

Psh, that's a bummer. It really is too bad considering merchandising is one of the things that keep a franchise up and about. I've heard stories about franchises that no longer produces games / manga / anime / movies, but are still living off their fame by selling merchandise items. Import fees and duties levied on the items are serious concerns though...

I'm sorry for veering off the track, but what is this Digital River?

Hence why the fact that I'm dead certain that the larger Limited Editions of 2.5 will be SE online store exclusives (just like FFX/X-2) worries me.

To be fair, the Wayfinders (and Kairi's lucky charm) have aways been feminine. They're made by girls out of colorful seashells and glass and formed into star shapes. I'm not sure how masculine they could make jewelry based on these items. The only one that isn't purdyful is Stitch's because it's, made from scraps.

Either way, it's too tiny and too expensive for my taste and I don't wear jewelry like this much. I prefer stylish custom jewelry to delicate shinies. It's nice for the fans this would appeal to, but yeah, not my thing.

They are a vendor service that really sucks. They charge ridiculous rates for shipping, have terrible customer service (rude or they don't pick up the phone at all), no self-service to cancel items (you have to email them then wait between 1-never days for them to do it for you), if you change your password your items can potentially be cancelled for "security reasons", they don't ship items separately so if you order one in-stock item and one preorder you won't get that in-stock item until the preorder is available and by that time they might have already sold that in-stock item and will cancel your order 8D, to change anything about your order you must cancel it first then reorder, and they constantly charge/refund your card to check if you have the money for what you've ordered months in advance and HEY IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE MONEY THAT ONE RANDOM CHARGE TIME they might cancel your order!

You should read about the Ni No Kuni Wizard Edition fiasco~

Umm, I think the only thing I've heard of the NNK Wizard Edition is a particular case in which a few Wizard Compendia suffered from something... bad... but I can't exactly remember what. I know something happened, though. Is that what you were referring to or is there something else?

So it seems they are a generally crappy service provider, huh. Thanks for the information.

To be fair to Square Enix, the necklace is silver. It's a bit overpriced because it's a specialty item but that's roughly what silver necklaces cost here.

This is true. The great thing about KH is that it has a very large female fanbase as well as male (which includes most gamers in general), so SE targets them with all their jewelry, which is never cheap (I'm looking at that bracelet with all those ridiculously expensive charms on it...). I still do like the wayfinder, but it is quite expensive and given I probably wouldn't wear it since it's a tad bit feminine, I think I'll pass ^_^

Thanks guys for the help!

Pretty but... I already have one, that I think actually looks better than that. and it isn't even an official wayfinder, its just something I saw at the jewelry store, reminded me of it and I was like. "That will be mine" and it was 50 dollars on sale.
