Nox's lips curved into a crooked smile, the tears dissapearing as soon as they came in contact with her skin. "Hey, Slyphzilla." She giggled as the pearl body of the drake slid onto her shoulder, its tongue flicking out to give the brunette an affectionate lick. Nox opened her mouth to say something, but the presence of a life drawing drew her attention away.

Blinking a few times before bringing her flaming hands to her eyes to rub them, banishing this possible illusion, Nox asked, "Either this is all some very strange dream...or death is perhaps the weirdest place the exists...if it ex-where the heck are we?!" So many questions rushed through the fire fairy's head, but she knew that these people were just as befuddled as she.

Peering over the turtle, Nox realized that it was made of...paper?

She carefully backed away, tilting her head at the turtle, Nox had the impulse to touch it, but knew it would result in a roasted turtle. She noticed Aara reading a slip of paper that Sir Greenbean delivered. Nox was too short to look over Aara's shoulder, something she greatly resented, so she could not see the paper. "Cool down, Noxie." Aara's voice was amused, Nox knew that much.

Still, looking down the beach, Nox saw that same girl, the one who was horrified at Nox's one blaze of glory, holding a pad that grealy resembled the turtle. "Nya?" She chirped, staring at her hand, blazing and glowing like some pheonix. Okay, she had to admit that a flaming girl was a bit...odd.

"Okies." She nodded, bobbing her head, the two forward strands flailing like vipers. Closing her eyes, and exhaling a soft breath, the flames encircling her body began to simmer, growing smaller and smaller by the second, as if being smothered by some invisible blanket. She started to follow Aara out of the water, only to realize that her legs were wet. The thought of sand sticking to her moist legs made her want to castrate something. "Ah, one sec..." She said, pointing her index finger into the air.

Very carefully, keeping her eyes on Alexa, trying not to frighten her, she allowed the smallest of fires to glow in her palm and gently warm her legs, the water disinergrating before her eyes. Shaking her now dry shoes out, she pranced up the beach, all signs of a blaze gone. "Oiyo, sorry about that, most people I know don't mind fires..." She smiled, her eyes as innocent as a seal pup's. "I'm Nox by the way," She chirped, crouching into a mock courtesy before plopping down beside Aara.

Haruka shivered as she looked at the drake. "Uuuh...sure...a drake..." she IS a half dragon, and she had saw dragons at least about two - three hundred times or more while she was looking for materials, but this one's definitely NOT normal for her.

and earthlings..."Hmm...i've read it from a book somewhere...you see, Parista was quite a big universal dimension port, so i believe that earthlings are people who lives on earth...and no, i don't think most of us are earthlings, but a few of us are.." she said. And she laughed hearing the nickname "Drawing mage". well, matches Alexa greatly, actually... she thought.

There were a lot of interesting people that he was going to have to get to know. Galbatorix wasn't very good with names because everybody he used to meet, he killed a few minutes later in battle. That was all going to change here and he was going to enjoy it. "I'll be back later. I'm going over there to talk to that umm guy. I think his name is Terran." He said this Alexa.

Figuring that the drake wouldn't hurt him Galbatorix reach up a stroked it before walking away. He paced over to Terran and looked down. Galbatorix had always been taught it was rude to tower over another, especially if you didn't know their status. Kneeling down, he looked directly into those piercing eyes Terran had. " I'm not sure how much help I can be, but where I come from earth is a planet that is in our shadow. The beings that dwell there are called humans, or earthlings. They are like Alexa."

Galbatorix had to hold back a laugh as he looked at Terran again. The short stature and blue hair reminded him of a guy he once knew that died.

Haruka looked at Terran. She sweatdropped looking at his size. "...i won't believe he's a commander looking at his size...except his soldiers are shorter than him... i'd say he's from a midget planet..." she thought. Then she saw Galbatorix--or at least, that's what she heard earlier-- walking to Terran. Their posture were way too different. She hold back a laugh, thinking how different were her brothers' height and hers... she was taller than them by 5 centimeters...

Haruka looked at the sea. "Sigh...i want to swim..." Oh well, she just can't hold back a hesitation to swim in that beautiful sea, covered with the black mysterious sky...although she snapped out of it, reminding herself what will happed to her hair if it strangles on something...again.

She lay on the sands, looking up at the stars. She's start wondering now. "Hmm...". She stands up. "But if this is afterlife, there should be some cool things to do here...fushigi mystery..." she walked over to a rock nearby and look at the back, finding a beautiful clam. "...a...clam.Oh well, better than nothing to do..." She put the clam in a pocket before the clam opened and bite her finger. "Ouch! Oh no that huuuurt---waa!" She accidentally trips on the clam and fell on...a small something.

Oh dear. I hope it's not Terran. She stands up. Great. It wasn't Terran. It was just the paper turtle Alexa drew earlier. "Hmm... ano, Alexa-chan--may i call you with chan?-- do you think there's something else we can do here? I don't think i can step carefully in the dark..." she asked Alexa. Giggling as she remembered how her teacher was as careless as she is, she tripped again at the remainings of the paper turtle and landed face first into the sand. "..."

"Oh, excuse me then. A drake. And a very beautiful one at that." Alexa corrected herself in a smiling manner. It was so... Adorable? Graceful? Astounding? Whatever it was, the drake was very interesting to see move about. In the back of her head, Alexa was trying to memorize its anatomical structure. Maybe she'd be able to draw it later, just for fun. And the noise it made was most curious. Sort of like a bird, but more like a cat purring? Maybe both?

"She called you a ... 'drawing mage'," Aara said. Alexa had to laugh at that a little bit. She'd never been called anything like that before. But then again, she hadn't exactly showed anyone before that she could do something like this.

"Drawing mage?" she grinned, "I kinda like that. I don't know if I'm good enough yet to be a mage, but maybe that could be a goal for me or something." She looked down at her paper, "Yeah... Drawing mage. I really like that."

As she stuffed her sketchbook back into her bag, she noticed that Nox had let down her fire barrier and only had a couple of small flames going. Alexa let out a long sigh of relief. That was much better. She felt like she could breathe again. Then all the fire was gone, and her mood improved dramatically.

"Oiyo, sorry about that, most people I know don't mind fires..."

"Sorry..." she smiled, a little embarrassed, "I don't even really know why it bugged me so much. It was probably just the shock from... Well, I won't go there." she scooted over again to give more room, "It's nice to meet you, Nox. I'm Alexa, but I'm sure you figured that out by now."

She listened to Haruka explaining about her home planet and how she's read about Earthlings, "A universal space-port? I've read about those, but they were all considered fiction back on Earth... But so were drakes, until now. I guess anything's possible here." Noting the numerous questions she added onto what Haruka had said about them, "Yes. Earthlings are from Earth. I don't mean like... The element, although Earth is made of... Earth. Wow. That sounded redundant." She looked upwards for a second while Galbatorix left to go over to Terran, trying to piece together a sound definition.

"Okay. Where I come from, there's the element earth, that isn't capitalized. Then there's the world or planet Earth, capitalized, which is where all of us Earthlings live. So far scientists have discovered that we're the third planet from our sun, but if Galbatorix is right, then... I guess we're not. Grah. I'm not making any sense. Hopefully that helps some, but I don't really know how to explain it..."

Then Alexa heard a yelp, some loud remarks, and someone falling into the sand. She jumped up, seeing that it was Haruka, and scurried over to her to see if she could help her back up. She seemed to have tripped, twice, over her little turtle. So it was back again, was it? She picked up the turtle and looked it straight in its little turtley eyes. Or what she was pretty sure were his eyes. They were really just a few cartoony lines.

"Alright Mr. Turtle. You can't just go around biting people and tripping them and causing mischief. So you get to sit on my bag and think about what you've done, you hear?" the turtle moved its flippers ineffectually, but then stuck its head and fins back inside its body. Alexa stuck it inside her bag carefully saying, "Just flail a bit when you're ready to come out." before pulling the drawstrings shut.

Alexa got to thinking when she heard Haruka talking. It sounded like she was from... Japan? Yet she claimed to be from some international space port. Who knows...?

"Sure, but only if I get to call you Haruka-chan as well," she said cheerily, "And you're right. It's getting dark. I don't know what we should do... But we should probably do... something..." she turned and looked at the others, "I'm just a highschool graduate, so I don't know much about this sort of thing. Anyone else have any brilliant ideas?"

"Chan? What does that mean? Is that a title?" Terran was lost at what was happening. There was a place called Earth, which was new. So there were other places with life? Terran's people didn't even think of that. They just worshipped the gods in the sky.

" I'm not sure how much help I can be, but where I come from earth is a planet that is in our shadow. The beings that dwell there are called humans, or earthlings. They are like Alexa."

Galbatorix was trying to explain to Terran, which he obviously knew something. "So Galbatorix comes from a place near Earth?" Terran wondered what this Earth place looked like... Was it mountainous like his homeland? Or covered in the vile liquid supposedly water? A combination? Terran pictured in his mind, thinking of what it could be like.

Terran looked from Haruka to Alexa to Galbatorix to Taz and then to Nox and Aara. He noticed one thing. Everyone's clothing was so different. Terran's green outfit was insanely different from Alexa's odd clothes. Terran couldn't even describe them. Nor anyone else's. He sighed, when Terran heard a squeal. Terran looked back to see Haruka tripping again over the turtle. She picked it up and walked to Alexa.

Haruka handed the turtle back to Alexa who then put into her bag. As she did, something fell out of the bag. It was partially wrapped in some kind of flexible shiny stuff. Terran got up and walked over to it. He picked it up and looked at it. It had odd writing unknown to Terran. He brought it close to his nose to know what it smelled like.

Terran's eyes widened. "It couldn't be... They have it were Alexa comes from!?" He looked at everyone else. They were talking, and Terran decieded that no one else would notice really. He sat down next to Alexa and unwrapped the package. It revealed the beautiful chocolate. He started eating, savoring the first bite. It was so sweet, and it reminded of his home dearly. And he quickly felt the effects. He started feeling drunk and tipsy. He started swaying, soon to fall back.

He sighed, taking another bite of chocolate while staring at the sky.

Aara blinked as she listened to the others, trying to digest several pieces of information at once. It was weird enough that she was experiencing the afterlife. And what Alexa was saying was completely odd. Drakes being fiction? And a place called "Earth"? That wasn't even a name, was it? Still used to being a book keeper, she was almost insulted at the unoriginality of the name. It was like calling Acheraa "City". Aara shook her head and sat down in the sand cross-legged, holding her arm out to make sure Sylph didn't fall off.

"Earth...." she said thoughtfully, head tilted in an absent manner as she ran the information through her mind. Aara was vaguely aware of Sylph detaching herself from her hand and slipping down to the sand, pattering about, peering at the tiny footprints her paws left in the pale loam, looking up at the others.

Aara, meanwhile, had suddenly sat up straighter, a new eagerness in her voice, dark grey eyes bright.

"I remember now!" she exclaimed. "I read about your Earth in A Record of Untamed Magic. One of the secondhand books that came our way, not too long ago. Written by a latter-age bibliomantic reformer, not given as much credit as he should have, really... anyway, one of the chapters on uncontrolled portals mentioned Earth. It said that there was an area of ocean or something that was subject to a lot of turmoil in the trans-dimensional Flow ... oh, what was it called? Bermuda something. A shape, I think." Aara gestured her hands vaguely. "Said that it caused the compulsory detachment of any radius of spiri-physical concentration to random cross-over points. Alcheraa, that is, our home, was one of them."

She had let her mouth run away again, Aara realized belatedly. Being a book keeper had meant that she read a lot ... and remembered nearly as much as she read. She shut her mouth and smiled sheepishly, turning instead to watch with some interest as Sylph circled around Alexa's knee, wings unfurled slightly. Their rapport emitted typical drake curiosity. Sylph's long tongue flicked experimentaly against Alexa's hand, a few rumbling chirps sounding from her melodious larynx.

It's getting a bit cold, Aara thought to herself. If only Nox's crazy flames left an after-effect of heat.

Taking a deep breath, she entreated with her Anima, feeling the magical energy spread quickly through her with a faint tingling sensation pooling in odd places like her neck and elbows. She cupped her hands loosly together, gathering up the charged Anima and blowing gently between her fingers.

"Warmth," she murmured, feeling energy crackle silently on her tongue. A flare of faint golden light illuminated her palms, spreading slowly until it outlined her form. Like the light of a firefly, it gradually died down, but not before leaving behind a feeling of sweet warmth in and out of her, banishing away the chill.

Haruka shook her head, dropping sands everywhere. "Oh...right...THAT book. 'A record of Untamed Magic'. Earthlings, Sea, Pacific,... so you read that book too, Aara?" she cheered a bit, knowing not only her reads such a thick book. She sat happily after giving the turtle back to the owner--err...drawer. Then she realized it's getting so cold, somehow. "...now i feel grateful having those two demons." She pulled out the red chain she found from her "spare" amulet and hold it tight. It emits a warm heat.

Then she saw the chocolate dropped from Alexa's bag. Terran was eating it. She saw Terran suddenly fall backward while eating the chocolate. It makes a low 'bump'. Looks like she's the only one who hears it though. So she approach Terran (VERY Carefully) and slowly pick a piece of the part Terran dropped when he fall backward. "Hmm..." She looked at the wrapping. 'MILK CHOCOLATE' was written on it. "...milk hmm?" She throws the little piece into her mouth and feel it. It was very sweet and tender. "Maybe they meant to write caramel instead of milk..." she decided to be a thief for a while and pick another piece from the packing.

Then, after she eats about half of the whole chocolate (The other half was hold by Terran), she looks at the surroundings, which is getting darker already.she lays back at the sand and start humming a little lullaby her mom used to sing to her. enjoying the sweet taste left at her mouth she starts being her ignorant self again, and fell asleep, ignoring Alexa's paper turtle which somehow bit the bag's strap, escaped from the bag and slept on her head.

Galbatorix was intently listening to what Aara was saying. He hadn't read it in a book like Haruka had, but new quite a bit about the subject. He once again walked over and sat next to Alexa. "On Tethe'alla there have been quite a few incidents where earthlings have ended up in my world due to the random inter-dimensional time-space warps in the Area called Deras Karlan." He paused to let some of his words sink in.

"This holy place happens to be one of the few places where earth and Tethe'alla actually connected on the same plane in between dimensions. The area on Earth that Aaara mentioned is called the Bermuda Triangle. Though going through the warps there can lead to Tethe'alla a number of places can be reached from these holes."

Galbatorix still remembered when the anomaly of of Dragons had occured in Beta year 4013. The holy land had been almost completely destroyed and the Tethe'allans never found out what world the dragons had come from. He realized that he was just staring blankly at Alexa, so he smiled and laid back on the sand. It was beginning to get chilly and he wondered if Alexa was cold.

He formed a ball of energy in his palm and tossed it up. It didn't take a lot of power for Galbatorix to keep it suspended there, so it hovered above the group releasing warmth on those who were cold. There was something that he hadn't seem in awhile, so Galbatorix released multiple bursts of different colored energy into the sky. After a few minutes theey exploded in a flash of color lighting up the darkening sky. It was beautiful. Seeing night art as the Tethe'allans called it had always soothed him.

After walking a long ways through the dangerous forest, Purg found a small group of warthogs. Purg said to himself," Ah yes, Phacochoerus aethiopicus or warthog in normal language. These warthogs are of a strange size but nevertheless, they will do fine for a great feast. Hehehehehehe, this should make enough leftovers to last us about a week depending on how much these people eat. Before approaching the warthogs, Purg had to decide how he was going capturing. Looking around to see his surroundings, Purg realized that there were many places for the warthogs to run away to so he decided the lure them out of the forest on to the beach. Without making a peep, Purg used his chains to create a chain fence around the wart hogs and on the sides of the path he travel through the forest on.

Using the path again, Purg lured the warthogs out of the forest by chasing them half-way and whipping them with more of his chains. Purg said to himself," There is only one way I'm going to deal with all of those wild swine but many will disagree with me." Purg caught up to the warthogs while they were on the beach and using his chains, Purg extended and thrusted one of his chains through each of the warthogs which killed them. The screams of the warthogs while they dies were music to Purg's ears and his method was gruesome but effective in Purg's mind so he lined the dead warthogs near the forest entrance for cleanage. Purg headed back into the forest to get some natural cooking materials.

Haruka snapped out of her sleep thanks to the bright bangs at the sky. She opened her eyes--just to find the lower part of a turtle. She throws the turtle to Alexa's bag--and it went into it-- and watch the beautiful lights. She listened to Galbatorix. Looks like some people here know about earth aswell. She feels relieved now.

Or at least, that's how she felt.

She suddenly heard some random groan and slashes from the forest right behind the group. The sea is in front of them, and she looked back. The groan suddenly stopped. "...what the?" She thought. Then she shook her head, making sure it was just her feelings. "It's beautiful, and thanks--uuummm...Galbatorix-san..." she just can't find any better nickname for the energy user but the titles she used to know from reading the books her father loved to collect from the tourists. Including the book about the "Earth". And Bermuda triangle...

"HUH? Bermuda triangle??? Isn't that the one spot which is said to be cursed by the earthlings? Where ships and planes that pass the spot--neither from sky or directly across it-- will be gone to the depths of nowhere? So it connects to your home, Galbatorix-san?" she said as she sweatdropped.

Draconas have very good hearing and it was almost painful to hear the ripping noises coming from near the forest, but Galbatorix ignored it and concentrated on Haruka's questions. " Well I don't want to rude or anything, but Earthing's are not very smart. As we've studied them over the years it seems that everything that they can't explain or don't have technology to do so is "cursed", or magical though magic is real........ He grimaced. It was true that not all Earthlings were stupid. Some of them were actually quite smart and powerful.

"Anyway. The Bermuda Triangle is an area that is not protected from space time anomalies like most of the earth is. Another place like this used to be called Atlantis, but that entire continent got sucked through a tear and ended up on a planet that is a few million miles from Tethe'alla. These inter-dimensional tears can do many things such as connect places through like rips, or tears in the fabric of space. However the reasons for this are unknown. Also some beings who have gone through these holes gain other worldly powers." Galbatorix hoped he hadn't said too much.

OOC : Guys, i think the party should find 'Purg' ASAP. We've been taking 4 pages (other than the Bio pages) at the beach and should move to the forest,... who wants to move it? This Purg's been alone too long. xD I think we're wasting time at the beach for too many questions.

---------------------------------------------------

Hearing Galbatorix' answer, Haruka wondered again. Hmm...inter-dimensional tears...huh? she thought about it before a louder rush can be heard from the forest. She snapped out of her thoughts and turns to the forest. The rush and groans can be heard clearly by now. She wonders if anyone else heared the groan.she starts thinking again now about Galbatorix' answer about Atlantis, Tethe'alla, man, she only understands a quarter of them. She sighed.

Then she looks at Terran, who (as far as she can look), is still enjoying the chocolate. Then she got an idea to kick her out of the bore."...Alexa, isn't that your chocolate? I saw it popping from your bag earlier." she said as she hold a laugh, remembering how she ate half of it.

OOC: I see what you mean. I'll do it.
IC: Galbatorix heard that terrible sound again and looked in the direction of the forest. He really didn't want to go over there, but it seemed there was no choice. Then he had an idea. "Let's see......." He raised his hands and concentrated his power in the direction of the forest. To his utter horror and disgust what appeared to be some form of warthogs raised into the air.....all dead. Galbatorix gasped and released his hold on them. They fell to the ground with a sickening splat, on doubt sending blood everywhere.

"That is sickening, but now come to think of it I'm hungry and those could feed a lot of people. I'm gonna go over and check it out. Who'd like ot come with me??" Galbatorix turned to Haruka. "Do you want to come?? I'll carry you if you don't want to walk." He stood up and waited for an answer from Haruka, or anybody else who was there.

Vandor was confused. He didn't dare to stare out at the ocean, at the water, at the memories of drowning...but he was forced to anyway. After all, he was designed to face his fears. Something inside him just made him do it, even if he dreaded the very thought.

Then, he heard someone speaking about the forest. Actually, he didn't want to go anywhere. All Vandor wanted to do was...die. After all, he was just an experiment. A body and mind, but no soul. He was not Human. He was a Human at birth, but probably immediately changed. Maybe, he thought, maybe...I could end, permanently to stop this misery.... But not with all these people around....

Terran lie on the beach in what some might call a "Chocolate Coma". He wasn't really, but it took a bit for him to get up. He saw explosions in the sky, but it didn't bug him. Haruka had also stolen some of his chocolate. He didn't care. He slowly came back to normal and thats when he heard someone mention the forest. Something that intressed him.

He got up and joined Galbatorix. Terran looked up at him, still swaying. "Letsh go into... that thar for...est.... plashe..." Terran's speach was barely comprehensible, but he got his point across. He was obviously still under the effect off the chocolate, but he knew what he was doing.

He marched into the forest to stop right away. Pigs the size of Terran himself, were scattered among the ground. Blood soked the ground and the sorounding area. Terran fell to his knees. The blood... He started to see his last images of him living flash by. His sister, raising the sword above his torso, stabbing him. Terran, taking his last gasp of breath. He simply asked "Why?" as his own sister, the traitor, dig the sword deeper into him.

Terran began muttering many words, such as "Why..." and "She was my own..." as he sat on his knees, staring at the blood soaked field.

Terran was obviously under the influence of the chocolate he had eaten earlier, but the way he was acting didn't explain any of his actions. He seemed to whimpering and as he wobbled around he asked Galbatorix......
"Why"

Galbatorix wasn't sure at all what was going on, but all of the blood was really disgusting and was starting to get to him. He closed his eyes for a moment and collected most of the blood into an orb and hurtled it into the ocean. Now that the blood was cleaned up he felt more at ease, but Terran was still........well he didn't even know. "Umm Terran it's ok. Everything is going to be ok." These were probably some of the most useless words you could say a person in a place like this........

"Well when you calm down I'll be a little ways into the forest. Don't stay out here too long."

Aara watched as some of the others left, but she made no move to get up herself. Instead, she tried to take in more of her surroundings, her interest thoroughly piqued by this place, now that some of the shock had worn off.

Not many books about death had come by way of their little second-hand store, but a lot of manuscripts on alternate planes, spiritual speculation, and other related topics did. That, plus her research on Anima, tumbled through her mind.

"I just realized something...." she said slowly. "Here, in the ... Afterlife ... we're real, tangible. But ... these aren't exactly the same bodies we used to have. If we were to somehow go back home, we'd be nothing but ghosts, which is all we have left as far as the lesser planes go. Tangible here, phantasmic there. But we cannot die here. If we do, all we have left, our souls, will be wiped from any state of existance, and there'll be no Afterlife again."

Aara sighed, looking up at the swiftly-darkening sky. It was a depressing thought.

Well, we'll just have to stay 'alive'. The Afterlife is probably more dangerous than it initially seems, though.

She rubbed the back of her neck thoughfully, turning her head towards the far-off mountains and the glimmering metropolis that crowned them.

"I think we should head there," Aara said after a short silence, pointing. "Maybe we can learn a little bit more, and then ... see what happens from there."

Silently calling Sylph, she stood up and brushed the sand from her pants as the little drake swooped upwards and alighted on her prefered spot, curling up on Aara's head.

"Do'you think it's a good idea?" she asked, aiming the question at Alexa most. She obviously knew next to nothing about magic, and due to that, Aara didn't want to leave her alone in the Afterlife. Luckily, Nox would follow her, as she always did ... and vice versa.

Purg made it to the center of the forest within an hour and saw a large field with open space. Purg said to himself," Hmm, this is a great place to build some mini houses and cook the warthogs.I think I should stay here to begin building the mini- homes and setting up the bon fires." However, Purg noticed that there were
many large and thich trees that could be used as homes.Purg used Chain
Control to shape some of his chains into a axe and he began chopping
through the trees. As he was cutting, Purg discovered that the trees were
hollow so he enteredone of them and observed it for a few minutes
before heading to the next tree. Purg cutted through ten trees and place holes
on the sides of each tree as windows which took 20 minutes thanks to his chains.

After finishing that task, Purg started to make some large nests made of treebark. The bark of the trees in this forest were strong, durable, flexable and hard to break. Layers, and layers of bark were used to make the nests and after twenty minutes, each nest was complete. Purg said to himself," I might of overdid it with the details but it looks like something from a furniture store. Now all these
nests need now are some blankets and pillows. Purg looked at one of the trees and notice that it's leaves were about 4'-0" long. Purg took down many leaves
and he began make pillows by sewing two leaves together with long, thin pieces
of bark and leaving one side open. Purg stuffed the pillow with same leaves until
it was fluffy enough. Purg went on making more pillows until a total of thirty were made.
