Haruka sighed. "Uuh...sure...why not?" She decided to follow Galbatorix afterall, and being as ignorant as she can, she just stepped on the blood, not even noticing it before she take the fifth step and hear a small ripple under her feet. It was...

"Blood..."She suddenly heard Terran and Galbatorix. "Umm, Alexa-cha? Aara? Are you coming? I thought i heard someone grumbling a while ago. Maybe it's someone else." She said as she stepped a bit further into the forest before her conciousness kicks in and she looked down, just to find dead warthogs. "Eeww... anyone's here hungry?" She said as she disgustedly look at the remainings of the lined warthogs.

Then she heard some cracks. Looks like that "someone" is breaking some branches, but she was way too afraid to become ignorant right now. "...anyone wants to volunteer to check who's breaking the branches?" She shivered as she starts walking back to the beach and away from the dead warthogs. They now look like a warning to outsiders who want to enter the forest-- 'whoever tries to enter will suffer the same fate as them', that's what they said...

The Fire Fairy's eyes dilated as a zephyr of wind brushed past them, sending chills down her spine, tensing her muscles and making her body go a bit rigid. Nox was not fond of cold, in fact if she got gold enough she might just go into one of her pattented rants. A pyromaniac and a very cold atmosphere: not good bedmates.

Rubbing her palms against her body, careful not to create any flames that would frighten Alexa, Nox emitted a small amount of heat from her hands before listening to Aara. The notion of not being able to return or at least leave this purgatory, unable to live...unable to die, was somewhat daunting. "Well, does that mean we're Anams? A soul, spirit or essence that remains after a person dies?" Nox recited, the words rolling off her tongue so easily. There were benefits in being a bookstore owner.

Her eyes flickered towards Aara, knowing full well that she was the dictionary on magick here. "Where do you think we are," Nox blurted, unable to hold the question which was burning on her tongue for the past half an hour any longer. She looked around, surveying each face for any sign of enlightenment. "If we are...dead, which is safe to say, are we in the Overworld, or the Underworld?" The notion of being dead was staggering enough, but not knowing where you were, whether you were condemned to hell or not, was almost unbearable.

"Then again, this could be the Netherworld...the holding place for souls before reincarnation." Pouting her lips, Nox silently noted to write a very strong worded letter about this. However, the dull, sickening 'thud' from her right drew her focus away from her own plans. "Eh?" She tilted her head, taking in the sight of the warthog pack, bleeding and dead as dornails. "Eeww... anyone's here hungry?" Nox giggled in amusement about Haruka's rhetorical question before getting up and prancing towards the warthogs.

She knelt down beside one, careful not to tread into the deep crimson pools. Her eyes softened, saddened by the sight more than disgusted. Without pausing, Nox reached out her hand and gently dipped her index and pointer fingers into the blood.

Cold.

"Well, even if we could stomach it, we'd probably get sick from all the bacteria in the blood," Nox sighed, standing up to snag a leaf to wipe her marred marble fingers. Nox decided that it might be in her best interest to follow Aara like she always had, but the morbid mumbling to her left was hard to ignore. "Are you okay?" She asked Terran, her voice cautious and gentle.

Soon she'd lost track of what everyone was saying. Sciency, magical stuff. She didn't get any of it, really. She got lost once they started talking about the name of the book. She heard some odd noised coming from the forest, but couldn't be sure. One by one the others started to go check it out, and both Aara and Haruka asked if she would be coming along.

"Oh, yes. Of course. And I agree that city sounds like a good idea. It looks kind of far away, though..."

Alexa got up to follow Aara and Nox into the forest. Sometime in between, she picked up the small remaining bit of chocolate and stuffed in her back, making a mental note to keep it secure in the future. She wrung out her shirt the best she could, and her hair as well. Lucky for her she'd never been to high-strung about her appearance. She could easily name ten girls she knew that would complain about their make-up smearing or having sand in their hair. She never wore makeup, and hated her hair anyway.

She wandered on into the forest, careful to stick near the others. It was only common sense... They had big swords and magic. She had a pencil. And a turtle. Big flippin' whoo. Nox did a little more fire magic, and while she backed away at first, she found she could stand it. Besides, she was freezing.

Then she saw the boars. Or at least, the kind of looked like boars. The others looked a bit stressed at this, for the most part. She wandered away from the group and knelt down on her feet near one of the corpses. There was some blood pooled around it, but not much. She picked up a stick and prodded its head experimentally.

"Yep." she said after a second, deep in thought "This sucker's dead. Kind of odd, as this is supposed to be some sort of afterlife, right? This adds evidence to Aara's claim..." she abandoned the stick and ran a couple of fingers along an unbloodied patch of fur, "But these don't look too old. I'll bet if we cooked it that would kill most of the germs..." she frowned, "But something's just not right."

She leaned in closer, pulling the mouth open by the tusks, "Yeah. Its facial structure is all messed up, and its teeth are all wrong. This isn't a boar. It's too small for something its age, and the skull makes it seem more like... I dunno, a reptile of sorts? It's got the... Nose... Just more... Pro..."

Some of them were giving her funny looks. She didn't know if it was because of her strange analysis or because she had nearly stuck her own head in a dead boar-reptile's mouth to see what was inside. Or maybe it was because she just didn't have any fear of dead things.

She found it ironic. Didn't mind seeing this thing's innards on the ground, but couldn't stand being within three feet of a little flame.

"What? I had to learn this stuff in my technical drawing classes." she offered up as an excuse.

"...anyone wants to volunteer to check who's breaking the branches?"

Alexa could hear them quite clearly. It sounded kind of like... A buzz saw? In the middle of a forest? Impossible. She was curious. And she figured she wouldn't be much help otherwise... Might as well do something now.

"I'll go." she propped herself up and walked through the boars. She noticed that they had been laid out in a pattern, not killed randomly. And the way they were cut... Had someone prepared them like that? For what? A peace offering? A warning?

She followed the noises until she came to a clearing. There were what appeared to be makeshift houses that had been built there recently, and among them was the robot-man she had seen earlier. She wandered on over to him, cautiously, as she didn't want to surprise him if he were in the middle of something. He looked like he was making something out of leaves.

"Excuse me," she said in that polite voice she reserved for new acquaintances, strangers, teachers, bosses, and Thanksgiving parties where you don't know anyone, "Are you the person who made all this? It's very well crafted, in the grand scheme of things."

Terran's breathing slowed as he kneeled among the mess. His thoughts simmered down, and he began to relieve everyone was coming closer. Nox stepped up to him, leaning down and whispering in his ear. "Are you okay?" Terran tried speaking, but to no avail. No words came out, except for an odd clucking noise. Instead, Terran simply nodded.

Terran stood up then, using a nearby tree to help him up. Everyone was staring at the motionless chaos around them. Terran could not stand another second of it. Terran took a gasp of air, spoke in a horse whisper to Nox. "I'm... going with... Alexa. Don't worry.... about... me." He hobbled quickly towards Alexa, who had started an attempt conversation with a metallic man.

He was making make-shift huts, and Terran personally didn't think he heard Alexa. Terran's strength faltered for a second, enough to make him fall. He grabbed onto Alexa's arm, which was strong enough to hold him up.

For some reason, the only person he wasn't truly worried about was Alexa herself. He doubted that she had the same faith, but it was obvious she was strong. He was weak for chocolate, and how he died. Everyone else, he wasn't sure about, but Alexa. She just had this feeling about her. The same that she was strong, but she didn't believe in herself.Terran wished that he could be just as strong as Alexa...

{ Alrightly, so here's the heads-up. I'm going on a cruise, and, since I don't particularly want to drop out of this RP, I'm going to do something drastic that will give me an excuse to be MIA for a week, if that's okay with you, Stix. Maybe it'll even give you guys something to do. ;3 }

Aara stood behind the others, just at the beginning of the forest proper, one hand absently resting against a moss-covered tree trunk. It was nearly full night, and she was unable to see very far into the wood, something she wasn't too happy about.

Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and raised her hands, gently placing her fingertips on the soft eyelids. Her palms tingled as she reached down and drew energy from her Anima.

"Sight," she whispered, letting the word saturate with power before breathing it out into the wind, which flew about her for a brief few moments, setting her wild red hair to wing. When she blinked open her eyes again, the dark grey shone with a strange reflectiveness, and her black pupils were slitted, cat-like. Now she could see through the gloom of the trees.

Aara lowered her hands. As she did so, she realized that she was armed. Too preoccupied before, she hadn't noticed her weapons. Her golden chain-whip, Folly, was wrapped a few times about her hip like a thin belt. Illume, her short-sword, hung from her left side.

Stern features softening in relief, the young witch unsheathed her blade with a metallic hum. It glinted in the dying light, sharp and deadly.

Being a "city girl", Aara didn't have a lot of experience with forests. Still, she didn't think it was just that which was putting her on the edge. To put it simply, the wood was making her uneasy, even now that she was armed and could see in the dark. It was just something, that she couldn't put her finger on. Biting her bottom lip in thought, she concentrated, entreating to her Anima for intuition. But, like a smug cat stretched out in the sun for a nap, she was ignored, reaching out a lazy paw to swipe at her to go away. Aara winced at the blow, cursing under her breath. She hated being ignored by her own Anima more than magickal backlash.

Sylph, sensing her distress, crooned soothingly, reaching out with her own young psyche to comfort her. Aara gave her the mental equivilant of a smile to reassure the little drake, though her face was wary as she was continuing on to the others. Coming up next to Nox, she softly laid on a hand on the pyrokinetc's arm.

"Noxie, something doesn't feel right. I don't think we should be here yet. We're not even warded," she said quietly, now cat-like eyes shadowed.

An onimous prescence made the back of her neck tingle, and she whirled around, body tense, Illume tight in her hand. Sylph flapped her wings in distress and dropped down to rest on Nox's shoulder, small body trembling.

Suddenly, an icy pain pooled around Aara's feet, shooting through her limbs. She cried out, staggering back, and a night-dark shadow reared up from the ground, swallowing the redhead whole and disappearing with her.

"Nox!"

Then it was silent, save for Sylph's anguished screech as she was seperated from her human friend.

Cold; that was all Aara could feel, a bone-deep cold, like she'd never be warm again. It seemed to stem from the black void she was in. But after a few moments, she found she could open her eyes, but as something had negated her previous spell, she could no longer see in the dark.

"Where am I?" she whispered, lips tinged blue as her breath turned white.

Panic reached her when she realized she couldn't even draw upon her Anima for a simple spell of warmth.

"In the City of Souls, witch," said a low voice, the sound of which seemed to send freezaing pain through her again.

Aara screamed.

{ Whisper is my proxy; any decisions including me are her choice. Have fun with Sylph. Don't leave me to die, nyaa? Be a good firebug and send out a tracking sigil. I'll be back in seven days, just like Samara. ;D }

Haruka heard Aara's loud scream after that. It feels like she's listening to a rock concert, with double the voice intensity. "Aara???" although she hears nicely, she can't see in the dark. She looks around as the darkness blinds her eyes. She decided not to move, however. Even without such a dark area, she can step on Terra, it's even harder to see him in case like this.

But she just can't hold herself. She quickly walks carefully with her hands tracing the way, and as she accidentally swept something she sees the light. Then she sees that the "thing/person" she swept is Terran. This is no time for anything like that! she thought. "Terran--umm...i mean, Commander, i believe now is not the right time to pull out some arguments, so i believe we can save the apologization event for later. I'm sure you heard Aara's cry." She said as she follows the light.

Then just when she about to be able to see what's with the weird light she felt a chilling wind sweeping the sandy beach. The yell was heard a few minutes ago and now, where is Aara? She looked a bit harder to the light and she sees what's in the light; a short sword.

What the hell? I didn't see anyone bringing THIS before... she thought as she look at the sword. She suddenly felt the chilly wind blows harder. If she stays here too long she'll freeze! So she just return to where everyone was; at least the wind's not that hard there. But where's Aara? How did she suddenly disappear from the beach that fast? Did she use a warp hole? Or a rune magic? What a freak...

"Did any of you know where did Aara went to from the beach? Surely she didn't just swim at the sea..." she asked the others as she tries to find the inferno chain from before. Now it's very useful... she thought. Then she realized that Sylph was perching on her shoulders. She didn't notice it thanks to the cold wind...

OOC: I'm kinda confused with her post... but oh well, seems she disappeared along hunh? Great timing Aara-- we'll save ya don't worry... JUST DON'T EVEN TRY TO ESCAPE FROM THIS RP THAT'S ALL.

((OOC: Aye, aye, Amme! :3))

Nox silently strode through the forest, her movements fluid and smooth like a dancer's. Breathing deep, bringing the very essence of the forest into her lungs, the pupils of her large eyes dilated as she stepped into the opaque gloom, the light nothing more than a distant beacon of memory. Nox herself didn't mind the darkness. Actually, she fancied nature more than the cold brick walls of the city she grew up in.

Placing her hand upon the cool, rough bark of the nearby tree, Nox could almost recall some of the repressed memories of her childhood, before she and the others were forced to flee their home. Those memories brought chills, and with those chills the pain followed in a stampeding rush, trampling her heart like it was a dirt road. Hopping up onto an exposed branch, Nox stood on her tiptoes, the front of her sneakers scrunching, contorting the burning rose drawn on the top.

Reaching upward as if trying to snatch an invisible star from the gray blanket that was the sky, Nox seized hold of the branch above her, a triumphant grin gracing her pale face. With a sharp hop, Nox pulled herself onto the branch, sitting on it with her legs swaying back and forth. Her nails were drawn out of the wood, leaving barely noticeable indents in the bark as she stood up, balancing like a tight-rope walker.

Everyone was so glum.

This annoyed Nox to some extent. Sure, they were dead and confused, but they might as well make the most of the time that they had. "Oi, guys!" She called, trying to draw their gazes towards her. Careful not to actually produce fire, Nox held two transparent balls of orange light in her palms. With a grin, she started to juggle the balls, creating two more as she strode across the branch.

The last time she did this was many many years ago. It was one of the times she had wished that she was normal, without the tendency to draw flames. She could still hear those ladies' voices in her head. "That child is so eerie." and "I've been told that she is a fire demon, even her own father died because of it" were still sharp. Still, Nox didn't exist to be their scapegoat, she existed to amuse.

After tumbling off the tree like a fool, landing on her rump like a clown, Nox spewed giggles like someone on laughing gas. Getting to her feet, Aara came up to her, obviously perturbed by something. Turning towards the witch, only to witness the devilish shadow overtake her, Nox shreiked, "Aara!"

Her only answer was the inky blackness, a drake's screeches and cling of anguish, and a splintering heart.

All the things that were happening at such a fast pace were making Galbatorix's head hurt. He was deeply saddened by what had happened to Aara, but wasn't even sure what HAD happened to her. She seemingly just vanished. Nox cried out her name, but while she was screaming he was searching for her energy signature. It really had vanished.

"What is going on?? Where is she??" There was intense panic in his voice. He wasn't sure the way this world, or place worked yet, but it was obvious that people shouldn't be disappearing out of the blue. He had an idea and though it was going to take a lot of power it might be of some help.

Galbatorix sat down and cracked his knuckles before telling everyone......." DO NOT BE ALARMED.......and don't try and kill me."

In the next moment Galbatorix cried out as a violent change began to happen in him. He was surrounded by an odd light that obscured most of his body, but everyone could still see his changing body as the wings erupted from his back and he got larger and larger. His flesh becoming covered in black scales and horns sprouting from his head. He lost his shape quickly and when all was done there was a flash. Galbatorix's dragon form peered down at everyone. 'Hey guys get on my back. I'm large enough to fit all of you on me. I have a plan to find Aara.', he could no longer talk so spoke directly into their minds.

OOC: Hell yeah..things are hellishly getting interesting now...a week... hmm, she'll miss some pages then huh? So...Mrs.DrawingMage, what should we do after this? Hmm? >.>

Looking at Galbatorix' sudden change, Haruka sweatdropped. Her purple eye peered to him as the red one just closes. "Ookay... telepathy, hmm? Okay then, but...what's your plan? We don't have lighting..." The surrounding was dark, it's kinda impossible for her to see anything, even with the light emitted by the amulet. "Fosfor...>.>" She just sweatdropped when she climbed Galbatorix' back.

The black scaly skin looks very threatening, if there's actually enough lighting there. Haruka's eyes are not for things like this. In cases like this she depends on her ears... mostly. So she can do nothing but do whatever anyone who can see in the dark says. And that anyone will be Galbatorix-- for now.

Galbatorix wasn't sure what everybody could do, so he leaked some energy out of his body. It shined out from his scales and lit up the area. There wasn't much else he could do, so he waited for the others to get on. He spoke so only Haruka could hear him. "Are you comfortable?? I just had to make sure that everything is ok."

If everything was going to work out, Galbatorix needed to be sure that everyone wasn't terrified, or unsure of his actions. Even so, Haruka was the one whom he cared thought the most.........

((OOC: ner. I've missed out on so much waiting for her -_-. gotta get back to story))

IC: AS Jon waited for the young girls response, he decided that he sould take a reconesence listening. He concentrated a bit and got his ears to adjust so that they took on their animal form while the rest of him stayed normal. He listened as the new people joined the group, making sure to match up voices to the names he heard. He heard the many different references, incluging the ones of earth. So the one that draws resides on earth? Something to remember for later.

Then he heard them speak of going into the forest. The first thing he heard was very distant sound of what semed like a question. "Why?" Sounds like the commander, but what is he asking about. They were now too far for him to appear. He turned to the girl and bowed again. "Forgive me miss, i have some matters to attend to. I shall return." As soon as he came up from the bow, he sprinted towards the forest. He bagan transforming into his animal form to gain more speed until he reached the forest. He sniffed around a bit, catching Terrans smell.

As he was about to follow it slowly, he heard a scream come from somewhere. He looked to where Terrans smell was coming from, and then back at te screams direction. He winced at his decision, but followed the sound nonetheless. As he arived, he wathed as what looked like a dragon was mourning over a spot. He wathed as more people came by, and he ducked behind some of the trees. He was then greeted with then the most strange and fearful sight of his life. One of the men had gone and turned into an enormous dragon before his eyes. Jon stepped back a bit, frieghtened of this infamiliar sight, but then regained posture. It's voice.....it belongs to the one named Galbatorix. But...is he speaking through the minds of others? He decided to stay back just a bit, to see what would happen.

(OOC: Hmm...i'll add more fun-- just to shorten the time a bit? >.>)

Haruka shook her head. "Hey,... can't all of us just do what he said and get lost from here before something worse comes or else???" She said as she tried to yank herself up-- she's not even close to the dragon's back.

Then as she tried to get up, she heard a roar from the beach. Then the ground starts shaking. As she tries to look around-- with NO results of sight-- she suddenly saw two glowing eyes-- which she's sure not anyone she know's eyes. The owner of the eyes suddenly dropped something that emits light, and it shows itself: A white thing with spikes on its back, and the glowy eyes are the only parts of its face uncovered with a blue scarf.

Maybe things are getting worse from here...

Galbatorix snapped his tailed around, but made sure not to hit anyone. This was getting bad. Really bad. He tried to get into the thing's mind was has blocked by a barrier of some sort. He'd have to go about this another way, but time was of the essence. Usually he could stay in his dragon form for days, but things were much different here. 'I can't be sure how long my power is going to last', he said to Haruka.

As for the creature, Galbatorix wanted to make sure everyone got a good look. He increased the out put from his body and the light got even brighter. Now everything thing around them was bathed in an eerie golden light. Instead of just Haruka this time, he sent his message out to all of them. 'Does anybody know what this thing is?? Is it dangerous??' Before waiting for an answer he used his power to move Haruka up to his neck. Then opened his mouth and began charging a lot of energy there.

'I will level this entire forest if need be..........'

The man just kept on working, ignoring Alexa. This was pointless. Terran was extremly aggrivated with this. He apparantly had no manners. Terran shook his head, and started heading back to everyone. Thats when the scream came. He ran on back to them, the distance being further than he rememered. When he returned a giant dragon was there, emiting a golden light.

'Does anybody know what this thing is?? Is it dangerous??'

It was Galbatorix, but it came in his mind. But what was he talking about? A roar came and the ground shook. A giant white creature with spikes coming out of it, and it was drapped in blue cloth. "Finally... A fight instead of just walking around." Terran muttered. Terran reached to his back, drawing Nirron form his sheath.

Terran closed his eyes, and channeled his energy to his sword. A faint glow emited from Terran. Terran breathed deeply, and muttered the single word to give him a bit of extra energy. "Overload." His sword erupted into flames and thunder. Terran started running towards the creature, ready to stirke. He glanced around, seeing Jon standing behind a tree. Terran shook it off, needing to worry about it. He jumped at the creature. He grabbed Terran's blade, extinguishing the fire and lightning. He then threw Terran back into a nearby tree.

It was as he had excepted. The creature had a lot of power, as he obviously had smacked Terran out of the way with no problem When Terran hit the tree he grabbed Terran with his tail and sat him next to Haruka. 'Geez what is this thing?? Terran are you hurt?? Anyway I'm going to destroy this thing. The blow back from this blast is going to do considerable damage to the forest, but I'll try and do the best I can to shield everyone.'

He raised his head and the creature raised of the ground suspended in Galbatorix's field of power. It struggled for a bit, but then stopped it couldn't escape. it's time for torment was over............Galbatorix released the energy that had been forming in his mouth as sphere that changed from yellow to red to white as it sped towards the creature. It collided with the monster, but not the way Galbatorix thought it would.

The creature was holding off the energy with one hand, but seemed to be straining a lot to do so. Before the monster has time to throw back the sphere, or try anything else, Galbatorix unleashed it's power. The ball imploded on itself and then there was a slight ripple before it exploded violently. 'Here it comes guys....' The force from the blast was sending out wave after wave of energy and the ground was shaking along with tress collapsing and catching on fire. The smoke from the blast was so hight that it could probably be seen in the city in the mountains.

Galbatorix waited for the smoke to clear..............to see what was left of the forest since the creature shouldn't have survived........

"Does anybody know what this thing is? Is it dangerous?

"OF COURSE IT IS!! EVEN THE APPEARANCE SHOWS THAT CLEARLY!!" Haruka yelled as she accidentally hit Terran with the low part of her staff. "Sorry." She said. Then Galbatorix unleash a beam of energy which destroys half of the forest. The waves from the unleashed energy shakes the ground and even "hurts" the trees.

The smoke from Galbatorix' beam was very thick and high. Haruka was put on his back. But looking from the half-destroyed forest, she suddenly feel so bad about the animals in the forest. Yeah, she DOES have a soft side for animals so...

"NO IT'S NOT THE RIGHT TIME FOR THAT!" She thought and she shook her head. The smoke clears, leaving the creature dead, lying on the ground. She gave a relieved sigh, as she thinks, This is definitely not a dream, not a game, this is truth...or maybe this is a dream?? She looks at the creature. The body has been half-destroyed, and the bodyparts were scattered. Blood flows on the ground. BLACK blood.

Feeling bad if someone else coming after this see this, she drew out her staff. "Velmonche curios." A beam of soft light wrapped the dead body and transform into a piece of glass, with the creature's face reflected on it. Then the glass breaks, leaving nothing but little pieces of glass scattered on the 'used-to-be-grassy-and-now-it's-a-part-of-desert' ground which disappear after a time. Haruka sighes. "Let's go-- i don't think curios will work if a bigger one comes-- i can't use the other one or else it might even fails again... i can read the wrong spell if i'm scared." She turns to Alexa. "By the way Alexa-chan, i don't think the strap should be put inside the bag, your turtle escaped earlier by biting the strap off. Wonder if your turtle likes me? :3" She giggles remembering when a paper turtle slept on her head. Okay, not quite, but that was funny. Or maybe it was kinda...hmm....

"I hope these creatures can't fly.."

OOC: How about this??

IC: Galbatorix wasn't at all shocked when the smoke cleared. The forest looked like a wasteland now. There were burn trees and little fires all over the place, but there were animals running about in panic too. At least it wasn't as bad as the last time he used this kind of attack.

'Well it seems to me that I over did it a little.........' Well maybe more than a little, but he wasn't sure how much power he was going to need for such a creature. Everyone who had been near them was still intact, do his shielding had worked.

OCC: So what's next??
