Mark my words, a sexier, smarter, younger fascist will run in 2024.
I was gonna suggest that there isn't a sexier, smarter, younger Trump, but...
This is why I’m worried about Hawley. He’s equal parts handsome* (*mileage may vary), educated, and young.
Then there's him.
Then again, we have to think how he'll perform in the eventful GOP Primaries, seeing as how I think it's gonna be as contested as the Dem's in the 2016 cycle:
• Rick Scott (Senator, FL) - Governor before DiSanting
• Ron DiSantis (Governor, FL) - Some call him Mini Trump (he is)
• Nikki Haley (former US Ambassador to the UN)
• Marco Rubio
• Hawley
The problem here is that the Trump vote is gonna be divided, seeing as how pretty much everyone except Marco were behind Trump all in.
I kinda hope the whole "helping to incite the riot" thing becomes as much of a thorn in their sides (Hawley, Cruz, etc) as the email scandal was for Hillary Clinton.
If they get the FBI directly involved, which they should, then it can happen.
I don't know if I'm the only one who believes this, but if Donald Trump's response to COVID-19 wasn't as awful as it was, he may have had the possibility of running a second term.
He definitely would have won if he had handled the pandemic better.
I've been wondering for a while what the political affiliation of the deceased are. Not that the virus cares what you are either way, but Trump was sending his people out to die by being mask and vaccine deniers. It seems like such a stupid idea in the long term because you're just hurting yourselves in the long run??
Like, "Take THIS! I'm a free man, therefore, I have the FREEDOM to kill myself which will in turn hurt my "team"! Because FREEDOM!"
Edit: An even more accurate comparison! Literally what Trump did with mail in ballots. "Mail in ballots are fraud!" Cue hardly any republicans voting by mail. "GASP! How come all the mail in ballots are for Joe Biden???"
There are some operational and marketing errors that cost Trump the Election. Someone made a projection in Twitter that, had Trump performed 1% better in some States, the race would have been tied.
Kushner deliberately advised Trump to not mobilize because Democrat strongholds like NY and CA were being hit the hardest first. Killing off blue voters and making blue governors look bad was apparently the strategy. That backfired.
It's ironic. Trump was gonna use the pandemic to downplay on the Blue Governors, but they end up using it against him.
