Re: E3 2012

Electronics Entertainment Expo.

Not Gaming Expo.

But still they completely failed at everything.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist was awesome but that's multiplatform.
Tomb Raider was awesome but that's multiplatform.
Resident Evil 6 was awesome but that's multiplatform.
And Black Ops 2 was decent but that's also multiplatform.
Smartglass was an interesting new technology but it's nothing particularly innovative.

And those were the only things that even stood out besides Halo. I grew out of South Park ages ago (a funny thing to say since it's not even a kids' show in the first place) so that didn't interest me.

Re: E3 2012

There really wasn't anything interesting/good other than Tomb Raider for me.

I would have been excited about Splinter Cell: Blacklist and maybe Resident Evil 6, but SC felt too action-oriented and I'm not into RE.

Haha, also, what is up with Japanese developers speaking in English now. Just get a translator like Kojima used to.

That is literally the only thing I liked about the conference, too. And like it was already pointed out it is multi-platform. Honestly, I kind of figured that conference was going to suck anyway...

Re: E3 2012

tomb raider and splinter cell both look like they're borrowing the mechanics from uncharted

Re: E3 2012

After all I heard it sounds like Microsoft is trying to get people hyped about casual gaming, but who gets hyped about casual games?

Re: E3 2012

Honestly, I'd give their press conference a C-

I think that's pretty fair, all things considered.

Re: E3 2012

I wasn't too impressed by Splinter Cell's targeting system or whatever they call it. It kind of takes the point out of the game. Now if you like games that play themselves so you don't have to, it might be good.

So how about this EA press conference coming up next? I know it's mostly going to be sports but at least Crysis 3 is relevant to my interest and they might have some new IPs. I'm not expecting much from them though. I'm most looking forward to Sony's later tonight and Nintendo's tomorrow.

Re: E3 2012

Yeah, Sony and Nintendo's are the only ones I am interested in, too. I'm not going to bother with the other two probably. Well, Ubisoft maybe...

Re: E3 2012

The whole conference was just not made for the hardcore audience, who predominately ARE THE ONES WATCHING E3, would enjoy.
