if you would go examine threads closely related to this one, you would see that almost everyone either had a DS or a PSP, but not both.
you're obviously one of the hardcore fans, and i respect that.
The PlayStation Vita is not doomed | Bitmob.com
please note: I didn't read the article because I'm getting ready for school. I hope it says the usual: Vita just needs the push, the 3DS struggled etc.
Making two games, one for each console (the PSV and 3DS), would be a major mistake, as the two are rivals and almost no one would buy both handhelds.
It's your opinion on which company and systems are superior, but some people so think that the 3DS has more for it than the Vita (which isn't even backwards-compatible, which already makes many not want to buy it until there are more games that make it worth the buy.)
Well, Kingdom Hearts isn't a graphically demanding series. So, yes, while enjoying KH in HD would be awesome, it's not too big a deal.
Spoiler ShowI dare anyone to tell me that this:
Doesn't look significantly better than this:
(The former may or may not be the same thing zoomed out and massively super-sampled, but zooming out with no LOD change does a pretty good job of emulating better textures and fewer obvious poly edges!)
And that's just a minor difference, seen in an emulated version of one of the weakest non-DS KH games -- the character renders make it quite clear that the lighting can improve without losing the style, too:
The only reason why people think that KH looks "good enough" as is is because screenshots are released looking like this:
And not this:
...or this (*shudders*):
Those dev shots really do a number on people's valuation of the game's graphics.
Bolded bit is patently untrue. Here's Type-0 being played (and cheated, lol) on Vita

It doesn't play UMDs, but that doesn't make it not-backwards-compatible.
Vita's most likely the reason Nomura was still trying to figure out how to deal with a digital release of Birth by Sleep after Final Mix released, btw.
Didn't you read the thing back when they announced the Compilation of Kingdom Hearts where Squenix essentially said that they were releasing for both because they wanted two healthy platforms rather than a winner and a loser?
I thought it would be obvious I wasn't talking about PSN games xD
^^^^^^^^^^^^
when was that?
we can probably expect a vita game at some point
honestly i think making kh3 for the vita might be a good idea
the hardware is there

If the Playstation Move can't have it, nothing else can.
Neither of us did, it's the name of the article. You are right, the Vita isn't doomed to fail. Then again, I never said it was.
Either price drop, more publicity or great games will influence people to buy it. If everybody who bought a PSP or a DS knew about the new hardware for the VITA, I'm sure they would buy one.All I said was that is is failing miserably right now, which it is, but I do believe Sony can rescue it quite easily *cough* price drop *cough* or they'll figure something else out that will help it, I'm not a business major so I don't know 1/1000 of the crap they are talking about over there.
