Square Enix Reveals Japan Expo Schedule

As you may have heard from our previous report, Square Enix will once again have a huge presence at Japan Expo. They'll be presenting their biggest releases for the year and have invited various directors and producers of those titles, specifically Shinji Hashimoto, Naoki Yoshida, Yoshinori Kitase, and Motomu Toriyama of Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD fame respectively.
Japan Expo will take place from July 4-7 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris, France, and not only will there be staff autograph sessions, but attendees will also be able to attend a special presentation. What this presentation will entail will remain a mystery until the day of the event, so to all you lucky fans, we hope you'll have fun and take advantage of the opportunity! Probably will be KH 2.5, though. Hopefully for the PS4.
I would think it would be a 2.5 announcement, but who knows, it could be anything.
I'm hoping on a 2.5 release trailer. The announcement is inevitable but I want to see some footage in HD!!! Especially of Bbs!!!

Watch all of us get excited about 2.5 being announced and then they come out and say a few words about development on Kingdom Hearts X instead. I'll be a sad, sad panda.
Or even worse, it's just some sort of free merchandise for those in attendance or something and the surprises have absolutely nothing to do with any games.

They've never streamed anything from Japan Expo before, but I would say it is entirely possible that Square Enix Presents may cover it!

I also would love to see BbS specifically in HD along with any scenes from Re:Coded that are new ^_^ I almost forgot about Chi lol I do hope they talk about it too, it looks very cool.
I don't know guys. As much as I'd like them to announce it ASAP, I feel like TGS would be the more appropriate place to announce 2.5. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's a huge chance of them announcing it.

I could also see them announcing it at TGS since wasn't it around that time that KH1.5 was announced in Japan? However, I just don't know what those "other surprises" could elude to. I'm confident it isn't more KH3 news since it is so close to E3, they should have just rode the E3-hype train and added fuel to the fire IF it is more KH3 news so IDK what the other alternative is.

I'm curious if the news will actually be anything really exciting. I'm not expecting it to be honestly which is fine, the fact that KH3 was announced can help me ride through the rest of the year without any new KH news and I'd be okay ^_^

Oh yeah, I definitely recommend someone take the chance to go, even if they don't say much, getting to watch them talk about it live can really give you the chills watching it (I'm sure you know Sign considering you were at the Future of FF event, right?). Also, if someone goes, they give us up to date news on whatever is announced to it's a win-win! :D
I was only there on behalf of Shamdeo, who was invited but unable to attend. It's crazy though, especially if you're relaying news. Feels like you need at least 2 more hands with a phone or tablet in each one to keep up with the details. I don't feel that I really did a good job though, and I understand even less how people are able do this on a regular basis ;A;
Japan Expo is going big this year though! A Final Fantasy event and a separate Square Enix one. Whether you care for their upcoming releases or not, perhaps the speakers there may mention something to your interests! We've definitely got to keep our eyes and ears open~
Before I knew you were there in attendance, I was being updated by Kotaku's live updates and you guys were pretty much at the same speed. You were a few minutes behind them and they are seasoned professionals when it comes to this and they've done it for every E3 press conference for years so with practice it'll get much easier ^_^ You did a great job Sign and many people just focused on KHI since you filtered all the info to JUST KH, which was great :D
I wish I actually remembered I had access to the KHI twitter earlier though. Didn't realize until the KH section was just about completed. Most of my tweets went to my personal account and then I made the poor home team retweet it to KHI directly in a more professional way.
As far as I know there was only a single representative from each outlet, though if it turns out some had more than one, I'd be pretty frustrated to be honest xD

Even though I don't have a PS3 , I still hope they announce Kingdom Hearts 2.5 so I can just watch it on youtube, wish I bought the PS3 instead of an Xbox 360.

lol if KHi ever does and I happen to be wherever such a conference is, I'd be glad to attend and help. I've always been curious what it is like to be a KHi staff member at one of these events given KHi isn't the end-all-be-all of video game sites like IGN or Kotaku but knows much more about SE related things than either of those do combined.

I just want an official confirmation of 2.5 so I can can know for sure that Birth By Sleep Final Mix will be on it. My paranoia won't go away until the official announcement.
