Kingdom Hearts III at SCEJA Press Conference!

The SCEJA Press Conference is one that drums up excitement for all Sony fans around the world. As its main purpose is to highlight upcoming games in Japan, as well as showing off what will be at the Tokyo Game Show this September 19-22nd, it was to be expected that Kingdom Hearts would be in attendence.
Kingdom Hearts III was shown in this conference as a short trailer amongst other PS4 games. While it showed footage from E3, there is still hope for a brand new trailer to be shown at TGS.

So pumped for this! After hearing no news for god knows how long i'm glad they they will be putting out recent updates.

I mean from before E3, KHIII has been in the dark. Everyone lost their minds when that trailer came up. The recent updates on this numbered title now are a breath of fresh air. Hopefully we will continue flow after TGS but from we have seen i have a great feeling we will get some great news this month. Call me optimistic but usually when i have high expectations i don't get massively disappointed when we dont get the news we have hoped for.

Hopefully we will continue flow after TGS but from we have seen i have a great feeling we will get some great news this month. If we are EXTREMELY lucky, we might get a new trailer at TGS, and/or a release year. I don't expect too much or any news on KH3 for a long time after TGS though. Square is going to be focused on 2.5 (if it exists, which I believe it does) for the next year. I think E3 2014 will be when we start getting at least a semi-concrete flow of information on KH3.

Another trailer this early in its development!? Sure i was expecting some models or maybe some more discussions on what square has planned but if we are getting a new trailer i think me may get this game earlier than we think.
It's clear they don't want to keep repeating the "announce too early, don't show anything for years" method they've done for nearly a decade.
A trailer makes sense. And D23 will probably focus on more in depth stuff like new character models etc.
Heh i guess so but we were hit with the bombshell that was E3 i wasn't expecting it so soon considering we had seen little to no news on its development in a number of previous years, 3 months is nothing compared to the time we have had to wait in the past. Some people are still recovering from the hype from E3; its still fresh in my memory.
Though we don't want it to go too fast, we still have 2.5 to fit in which in my opinion will make an appearance at TGS. After DDD was released internationally 1.5 came close afterwards. I hypothesize that the same will happen here, as soon as the rest of the world have their hand on the first ReMix Square can then move on to announce the second

I second this notion. I was actually expecting them to announce 2.5 and talk more about that rather than give us more info on 3. I mean I was expecting something about 3, but not as much as a whole new trailer.
Well, let's hope that if there'll be a KH3 trailer after all; it's a wee bit longer than the E3 one. I mean, I'd be happy with ANYTHING, really! But to put that out there at long last after 7 years and it being so beautiful-looking and all...I want more of this! XD

Well, 2.5 is more reallistic at this moment, so I'm more excited for it rather than KH3 as well. But trailers for KH3 interest me more than the game itself right now! We don't know enough about KH3 yet, so I'm pretty stoked for 2.5 cuz it's within my grasp! X3

KH3 is gonna rock, but 2.5 will probably come out before, so I'm more excited about 2.5. Plus, the final mix version of 2 actually has noticeable extras, whereas the original final mix only added a few scenes, enemies, and palette-swapped enemies.
While a trailer for III would be nice I'm hoping they'll be talking about 2.5 instead.
I'm gonna try to stay unexcited though.

I literally had it in my mind that it would be:

So, when they completely destroyed that pattern and announced FFXV and KH3, I was still going off my own assumption. So I was like "WHAT ABOUT 2.5?". And now that we've gotten video evidence of KH3's existence, I'm content to wait a year or so for anything else because my brain is still more concerned with 2.5.

It was just that unexpected I suppose. They totally tricked us by starting with KH1 and CoM. Then they showed KH2, which confused me. Then they went back to Days and I was like "Is this 1.5 or 2.5?" and then they showed BBS and Re:coded so I was like "2.5!!!!!!!!!" and then DDD so I thought they were adding that to 2.5.
And then I was just kind of waiting for the logo. And when it popped up I was like
"Yeah! Kingdom Hearts two point...
WAIT... WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

The moment people realize that its III is always great no matter how many times I watch those videos.
Yeah, I'll admit I didn't realize it was 3 until the logo. After DDD I had a strong hunch, but I didn't want to hype myself up and have it end up being 2.5 (don't get me wrong, it's gonna be great, but I knew it was happening so I didn't want to prepare myself for 3 and then find out it was something I knew already) so the logo caught me off guard and had me flailing like a freshly caught Magikarp using Splash...it did nothing.

Isn't it sad that we feel odd because of something good? Now that we're getting all this consistent info, I don't remember how we ever survived the news droughts. But alas, we have crossed the desert and made it to the Promised Land where Kingdom Hearts 1.5, 2.5, and III await all those who held out through thick and thin.

That it is sir, very, very sad. xD I'm still in disbelief on how long the consistency will last.

Exactly, nobody new that be were gonna see anything this E3 concerning 3; most of us were thinking that Square were too busy with other titles to officially release their 3rd game. Even Nomura himself stated that he thought it was too early for a reveal. I'm just glad the game has finally come to light after several years in darkness, that's all. Nothing less, Nothing more.

I think we have just got used to it. Though something like recent news updates isn't something i would like to get used to. 2 years people. 2 years!

I saw the trailer for KH3 and thought INSTASNTLY of the third game FINALLY being released. I started my banshee-ing in that silent-hold-your-hand-to-your-open-mouth way. I was just...blown away. I was probly thinking it was 3 cuz we've been waiting for it for so long that I've just been expecting it. Especially recently. And I got mega Deja Vu when I saw Sora pick up that Keyblade and get that "wtf" face.
Can't wait for the new news, no matter what! XD

IIRC, there has been KH news at TGS every year since it began. It's difficult to disregard all that.

This. Let us not forget the E3 right after DDD was revealed. We were told DDD would be there. And it was! All two to five seconds in a trailer during the Nintendo conference for the 3DS.
IIRC, there has been KH news at TGS every year since it began. It's difficult to disregard all that.
I still believe in the motto. It is a good way to lower expectations without killing any hopes. I didn't expect anything at TGS last year and was pleasantly surprised. Going in expecting a lot can only lead to disappointment if they just show the same KH3 trailer.
Secretly though you know that something will happen. Everyone will pretend that stuff won't happen but judging on what TGS is known for and the stuff we have received already its hard not to keep our expectations low. The best way to avoid the news completely so you get the biggest surprise. I did that with Birth by Sleep didn't read a lick of news and then BAM saw it at Eb. Completely lost it.
