Currently taking, but I screamed like a small child when I saw them mention wayfinders as a bonus.

I don't even watch much television anymore aside from the news and maybe a couple of sports games. I just put in "Bleach" since it was one of the last shows I watched religiously until the end of the Hueco Mundo arc.

So, how will you all feel when every one of the Facebook fans choose KHII as their favorite game, and KHIII runs on the KHII engine?

Posting this to Facebook worries the hell out of me.

I foresee a lot of "GIB SOKAI PLS" and other such nonsense in the final question.

Hopefully the most this survey affects the franchise is what we get in special editions.

They don't include Chi in the list of games... probably because either not many Westerners know about it, or it's non-canon.

It's great though that they conducted a survey like this. There's a chance that our voices will be heard, and if enough big-time fans of the series participate, they might actually do something that has never been done before. That question about CE in particular interested me the most; hopefully they will come up with CE release for KH3.

And pins and Wayfinders HAVE TO HAPPEN. I hope I'm not the only one who ticked almost every single check box in the bonus section.

I putted that I wanted to see Birth by Sleep Play Arts. Aqua would look so pretty.

For the final question, I let them know that there are many KH fans scattered around the globe, and that it would be great if they could reach to said demographics. Hopefully this will prompt them to at least consider the possibility of distributing their merchandise to more countries or allowing anyone from any country preorder directly from their store.

I'm still sad that I wasn't able to preorder 1.5 from where I live, and thus I didn't get the dynamic theme.

I understand why 4chan wasn't an option, but Kingdom Hearts threads are amazing on 4chan.

The plan to localise Chi already exists, but yes, it's our time to let them know that we English-speaking players are also aware of Chi and would so much love to enjoy it without linguistic barriers. Hopefully, knowing this, they can coordinate with the Japan team and put the plan into mobilisation sooner.

If Chi does get localized, I hope I don't have to restart the whole game... I'd like for it to be a language option rather than a separate release.

This survey was crazy long. I don't know why they want to know our favorite shows and music but I hope somebody at Square Enix is using this as a rec list to get some new shows to watch and music to listen to.

Apart from the really odd questions, this was nice. I hope they take lots of people's requests into consideration. If they see that people want stackable trophies, they should make the trophies stack. If they see people would prefer the characters to remain all friends instead of relationships, they should keep them friends.

I personally hope scrapping gummi ships is a popular option. I just want to get straight into the action, I don't have time to try and get an SSS score.

Took the survey. Asked some interesting questions. This was a great post. Even though I got knocked off a previous discussion for voicing my negative opinion on the news, I will still follow kh insider because I have for years. Posting stuff like this keeps me coming back.

If I had to guess, I'd guess they're trying to figure out their advertizing plan for 2.5 and that was the main (but not necessarily the only) purpose of it. Seeing what we're interested in as far as bonuses go, where we buy our games from, seeing if we preorder. The music/shows thing was probably to see what radio streams/tv channels they could look into for advertisement. Before you shoot me a cocked eyebrow, they're not above advertizing anywhere. When Birth by Sleep came out they had ads on AIM.

I'm pretty sure the majority of the people who are taking/taken the survey are from this website. That's a good thing because most of us are of good taste. Pretty much every question got me hyped. Favorite current TV show I thought was hard because most of my favorite shows aren't "current" anymore. As in they're no longer airing. LOST is done. Young Justice is done. Seinfeld is done. So I put Arrow. I hope they make the soundtrack a preorder bonus though that would make my life.

For the last question, I asked if they would ever hold a character design contest. I would leap for joy if they did.

As for summarizing the series in one sentence, I put: "Enchanting, but exhausting".

Well, this was the best thing to ever happen. I mean, I did that one KH survey last time, but I don't think they even meant for people outside of Japan to be able to take it (even though we did anyway).

Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this! It was fun answering all the questions in-depth, and I really REALLY hope that we get the wayfinders now. LOL. I sort of wish they'd had an option for something that explains the entire KH story as a preorder bonus, but I suppose it makes sense that they wouldn't. (That's more like something you'd have to buy at full price, like the Zelda Historia thing.)

I did ask for the Ultimanias, though! I explained that there are a lot of important plot details in those that people won't be able to understand unless they have them. Here's hoping they'll listen and we'll get them now. Eep!

Anyway, I wonder just what the purpose of this survey is, and how it'll affect the future. I really hope we don't get games that are a lot like II now, though, like you guys all are saying. Ugh.

My only guess as to why they didn't list the Vita is that they currently consider it a lost cause. I think they should have just listed every console ever.

I mostly just complained about how they haven't treated the Disney characters seriously since the first game and how I would like if they made the worlds larger and more explorable (and that BbS and DDD were a huge improvement on that point). Plus, I mentioned how much that the command board was the only new feature they've added over the years that I've liked and how the series has been way too easy since the first game. Oh, and that I want the games to always have Sora and/or Riku as the main characters.

I doubt they read all of these, but it's worth giving them the feedback on the off-chance that it makes a difference.

I pretty much nagged them about how the games aren't available digitally. 3D was sold out everywhere in Christmas, and for a guy planning on getting a PS4, it not being able to play PS3 games unless they're on PSN (which KH isn't) is a huge inconvenience. Though, again, politics may stop them from doing such things again. : /

Man oh this survey was a way to let me vent out a lot of idea's out of my head. I swear the last question I wrote a whole essay just on suggestions and idea's for both KH 2.5 ( since it isn't out yet) and KH3. I would post it, but it is way too long.

In before someone else put True Detective as their favourite current TV show. I also chose Katy Perry as my favourite singer for some reason O.o Don't know why but it was the first thing that came to my head, probably because I was listening to fireworks at some point in the day.

Also asked for the novels to hit Europe so I have no doubt in my mind that they'll ignore this because SE hate money.

I was really excited for all the questions about Collector's Editions. Not only did they ask about that, but they also were talking about pre-order incentives for 2.5 and whatnot. So, hopefully, they'll announce all of that soon.

My guess, since the survey ends just before FFX/X-2 HD comes out, is that they'll release FFX/X-2 and then probably some time in April they'll pull back the curtain on all the 2.5 news they've been hiding, including pre-order incentives and the lot which they will take into consideration based on the survey.

And it seems pretty obvious that they're strongly considering a KH3 CE. Which is a dream come true. Did you SEE those options? Artbook, soundtrack, Sora figure, keychains, pins, wayfinders, etc? I mean holy shit I was throwing my money at the survey screen.

I think one of the more interesting questions on this survey was what type of games do you play, such as action/adventure, MOBA, strategy, etc. In so far as games after KHIII, it seems like this question is tailored toward the slight possibility that this series may or may not branch out into other genres. Since I play League of Legends a lot, I got really excited at the idea of a kingdom hearts MOBA, which could work given the amount of original characters in this series and be so totally awesome. But aside from that, it would be interesting to see this series branch out, like as in Re:Coded but as a whole game rather than one sequence or world.

Yeah, I ended up selecting all the incentives, but I hope they didn't take that as "Oh, they'll be satisfied just with a keychain then," since a soundtrack would be awesome.

I put Once Upon a Time and Kelly Clarkson as my favorite show/singer.

I know it's a long shot, but I put Utada as my favorite musician and also asked them to consider (along with bringing the Ultimania books overseas) to have her come back and sing a new main theme song. But I guess the problem lies more with Utada not wanting to come back.

I agree, it's a great idea that could have easily had more thought and allowed fans to express other views and more opinions. I guess we will find out more from what the survey tells them, maybe even a release date for the HD remix xD (doubt it though).

The more I think and look at this thread, the more I realise that I have neglected to voice out many of the concerns that we have in mind. I guess I was still hyped out by the pin and Wayfinder options to think clearly that time.

I put Disney because I'd sooner mourn the loss of Disney than I would Square Enix. I love both, but I can honestly say I've been let down a lot less by Disney than by Square Enix.

I wrote in the survery about..how they should definitely not make kh3 open world like how ff15 is going to be. I want to see for example like kh2 paths but far far more detailed. imagine like a jungle book level/tarzan/lion king,, the forest and jungles will look amazing, maybe the area paths can be a little bigger and expanded but nothing open world because the game would take forever to make, just slightly better than whats come before no need for a huge world everytime you visit a different disney location

Guys, that was 2006 with a conservative ESRB board. We are in 2014 with a slightly less conservative board and a target audience that is in their 20+ rather than 10-15. E10+ allows "cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes." which means guns if depicted in a fantasy manner are fine. You aren't going to see any AK-47s and heavy barrel arms, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they used my answer for "38. How would you describe KINGDOM HEARTS to a friend in one sentence or less?" in one of their future ads:

"Kingdom Hearts is a masterpiece in video gaming history, and a classic for the ages."

I also asked for them to bring back Billy Zane and Brittany Snow as Ansem, SoD, and Namine, respectively. Oh, and to pitch to JP SE to make an HD bundle of Dream Drop Distance, 358/2 Days and Re:coded (all playable) for PS3/PS4, in the future. Basically, every impossible thing you could imagine. I know I sound crazy and deluded, but when is another opportunity like this going to come along?!

Welp, took it again and mentioned things like more NPCs, more screen time for Kairi(again), and a few other stuff I forgot to mention the other times. I wonder if we'll ever get to see the results. I'd love to see what weird stuff other people have said.

I'm very nervous that they posted this to Facebook. They should have reached out to fan pages like KHI and such to post the surveys, aka a demographic of people who take the game seriously. I took a peek in the dark side, and it ain't pretty.

KH2 also had the "comedic relief" villains common to many shounen series in the form of Pete and Maleficent. Except instead of actually being funny, they were terrible and took away precious screen time from the villains people actually wanted to see.

We are neglecting to forget that KH2 brought back characters because of their popularity. Axel was given a larger role because people loved him in CoM. Maleficent was brought back because people loved her as a villain. Cloud, Tifa, and Sephiroth's storyline was purely promotion for Advent Children...they added little to the game in my opinion. Anyways, I won't travel down that road. I really disliked KH2 for the reasons Ruran gave and it felt pretty obvious to me that it was meant to appeal to the audience of the time rather than trying to be its own thing.

SO YEAH. You know, I kind of feel bad for Mat and whoever else who has to read the replies to this survey. This probably has tens of thousands of replies.

lol I feel like a whole thread could just become KH2 bashing (which it could since this thread partially devolved into that :P) but that is partially why this survey is a good and bad thing. While it does allow us to voice our opinions on KH2, and we know it was used to have them figure out how to make us pre-order the game (which I think all of us here are already doing anyways), it's sad this wasn't done after 2.5 came out since then a lot of people would have the chance to play BbS. Due to that, I'm assuming KH2 will (and even if 2.5 came out, most people would still have chosen KH2) have a resounding popularity among that poll and they'll continue making games like that because it caters to the large audience.

The sad thing is, I see so many people complain that KH2 was too easy (even casual fans) but I never even knew that people complained KH1 was hard. I honestly never thought KH1 was considered a "hard" game. I mean, sure it had it's hard parts, but it wasn't "hard" overall in my opinion (and let me tell you, I'm a wimp when it comes to challenges, I don't like them...)

Well, there's your answer. That just shows that it's not that KH1 was hard, it's that KH2 was way too easy. The gameplay had devolved into mash-X-to-win kind and very little strategy was required, what with all those fancy, flashy Hollywood-esque abilities that will execute no matter what just by equipping them.

That's even just naming one of the reasons why KH2 was considered to have catered to the "lowest common denominator", borrowing Spock's words; fortunately it just wasn't easy enough as to insult intelligence.

Took the survey a few days ago. Anyone bugged them for a Toy Story world yet? cus I forgot. lol I made sure they knew I was looking forward to KH3 and KH2.5. In fact, I couldn't wait any longer so today I hooked up my PS2 and am now replaying KH2. lol

I played KH2FM. Softmodded my PS2 to play the burnt disc with the English translation on it and everything.

I'm excited to be able to play that in full HD. Still need to take out those damn Mushroom XIII anyways haha

Regarding the discussion on the previous page, one thing I did like about the Org in 2 was that I could look forward to the "incongruent boss battles." Moreover, I knew the Org boss battles would be way more impressive and memorable than the rest (and memorable compared to one another), and that's generally true. I remember keeping a checklist in my MSN screenname at the time, I was that eager to track them all down. But could they have been built up better as characters and villains on top of that? Absolutely.

That they did such an awful job building most of the Org up in Days as well makes me wonder if they were really capable of building up that many characters to begin with. (imho, the only characters that were well used in Days were the leads and Saix. Xigbar's okay now thanks to Braig in BBS.) That's partially why I'm in the camp hoping the True Org members are established characters - from the KH, Disney, Final Fantasy or TWEWY rosters. That's when the series is at its best: when someone else has kickstarted the writing for them. Hell! How many writers can crank out 10+ great characters a single game?

Welp, I finally got around to taking the survey again, and I think I touched on everything that people were asking for here, as well as other things I thought of.

But, yeah. I asked for Kairi character development, more females and better handling of said females, BbS merchandise, BbSV2, KH Chi, 3D for the PS3. Oh! And of course the novels and Ultimanias. I suggested world ideas (such as Gargoyles), and made sure to ask nicely for awesome preorder bonuses and collector's editions, like the wayfinders.

Heck, I even asked for them to lean towards pretty much any game in the series except for II, as far as Sora's character development is concerned (and that they should focus on BbS for gameplay). I also suggested that they focus a little less on Keyblade wielders, so we can see more of Donald and Goofy again. (And to that end, I asked for the Disney to be important again and integrated into the main plot).

I am spent (who knew that a survey could tire you out so much?!), but I'm satisfied. These surveys probably won't affect much at all, but at least we tried, right? Go, KHI!

This was something I was thinking of a while back, but I'm surprised they never put out monster minifigs (Heartless, Unversed, Nobodies, Dream Eaters). I don't know how many breeds there are, but they have plenty, enough to make an extended collection.

Just took the survey again. I only remembered three things that I wanted to say, so hopefully another one doesn't randomly surface later on after the survey closes lol

My main three were:

1. Better development staff-->community connection. Specifically I was thinking about something along the lines of Final Fantasy XIV's Letters from the Producer/Director. Obviously that may not be possible, but wouldn't it be glorious if it would happen?

(I'd like Letters from the Co-Director though, because Nomura doesn't like doing these things and Yasue is incredibly nice and personable.)

2. Fix the weird-ass promotion. Seriously wtf. KH barely compares to the promotion for the XIII trilogy, which gets constant trailers and screenshots (even if the quality is awful). Whereas with KH, we only get promotional media closer to release, screenshot quality is all over the place, and the screens themselves are laden with all sorts of technical issues (pieces of the HUD missing, models clipping through each other, Sora having a Keyblade when it's impossible for him to have a Keyblade at that point in the game). Also false advertising. No more artwork in trailers that actually isn't included in the artbook please, because hey, we noticed.

3. ONLINE MIRAGE ARENA. RELEASE THE POTENTIAL.

I would have accepted that somewhat if it were were Saix since he rarely emotes except when tapping into his lunar powers, but this was back when he was Isa, who emotes quite a bit and is even a bit of a snarker that was able to laugh. Hopefully, they'll do a better job of getting rid of those idle facial animations for II.5 and III.

And now I realize that's yet ANOTHER thing that I forgot to put in the survey...

Poor Isa. He seems to be the biggest sufferer of blah blah face. So many things I forget to say on the survey...

Eh? Didn't the survey end yesterday or something? Because I can still do it.

It was supposed to have ended Friday. Perhaps they pushed back the date because it was so popular.

The Facebook page is down though. Or maybe they're just not receiving/looking at anymore even though the survey is still active.

Keep doing the survey until it does close, I'd say.

I did it again last night to ask for dual audio and region-free saves~

"Dear Square. If Kingdom Hearts is going to have three dozen male characters, can we have more man bewbs? That aren't Sora's or a variation of Sora? Please and thank you~"

The only things I really asked for was the Ultimanias and I think evolving Keyblades like in Re:Coded. I might add what Sign suggested on top of some other things. I need to make a list. :P
