Collect and evolve the Twilight Town Trio's Medals!
■ Event Details
・Hayner, Pence, and Olette return as new Medals! By defeating enemies in this set of Union Cross quests, you'll have a chance at getting these limited-time Medals!
・Get the Hayner & Pence & Olette Medal by evolving one of the three Event Medals using each of the other two Medals along with three Sea-Salt Ice Cream Medals as materials using the "Evolve" function!
・The Medal that drops will be different each day, in accordance with the following rotation:
5★ Hayner B ⇒ 5★ Pence B ⇒ 5★ Olette B ⇒ 3★ Sea-Salt Ice Cream
During the last two days of the event (Aug. 5 and 6), all 4 medals can be obtained as random drops.
■ Notes About Nova Level
・If a Medal with its Special Attack Bonus unlocked evolves into Hayner & Pence & Olette, your Nova Level will not increase.
・In order to raise your Nova Level using Hayner & Pence & Olette, you will need to use the Level Up function on a Hayner & Pence & Olette until it unlocks its Special Attack Bonus.
■ Cross Boards
This time there is a total of 4 Cross Boards which unlock sequentially. Complete them to earn Magic Mirrors, Jewels and more!

● 11:00 p.m. - 11:29 p.m. (PT) / 6:00 to 6:29 (UTC)
■Bonus Times
・During the the periods listed below, daily Bonus Times will occur and last for 60 minutes twice each day.
・By defeating these bosses during these times, you will be able to more easily obtain these Event Medals!
● 7:00 p.m. - 7:59 p.m. (PT) / 2:00 to 2:59 (UTC)
● 11:00 p.m. - 11:59 p.m. (PT) / 6:00 to 6:59 (UTC)
■ Overview of Union Cross Quests
・Upon starting a Union Cross quest, your primary objective will appear on the screen. The quest will end when you complete this objective.
・During your quest, a timed objective may also appear on the screen. These are limited-time challenges, so you will want to work with your team to complete them before time runs out!
・The stages and objectives you will encounter are randomly decided based on the current Union Cross event. Work with your teammates to adapt to varying situations and tackle whatever might come your way!

hey can You guys let me know if theirs a special boss or not that drops the medals and if there is ill update my farming guide accordingly, if its just every boss though ill just make a small addition, Thanks
There doesn't seem to be a particular boss that'll always drop them, but the medals do appear to be boss drops.
I'm pretty sure that I might've got some from other enemies, now that I think about it.
(Spent 6+ hours of straight Union Crossing to get enough medal drops in JP, really looking forward to doing it again in NA, haha...)
The idea is really nice, but the fact that you need 17 of one medal to guilt it because the evolve system is pretty annoying again kind of makes me lose interest. I guess with extra attack the medals might be useful, and it is always good to up nova levels but that is a lot of work. Not sure if I'll guilt them all.
The combination medal would be really good for Defense with Extra Attack. But I just played a good 30 minutes or so of the event and didn't see a single Hayner B medal. =/

I've heard that if you get Extra Attack on the base medal you're using to evolve than it carries over. Lets hope that's true.

I don't think it would be special for this medal only, so I just tried with other medals. It would be strange if this medal were that special (or any medal in that case)
I'm hearing the pink eggs will drop the medals, also maybe come equipped with drop item perks. Don't think any particular Boss is dropping the coins. The medals don't look like much for me, but good luck and try to have fun. LOL.

I played in a map where there were two of them and I ran into them. I didn't get a medal from either. I was really excited, but nope. Didn't happen. I assume *I* defeated them, but another player did get into both before I defeated them so it might not have been me who defeated either?
*sigh* This is really annoying. This is not how you handle new event medals for Union Cross, SENA!
To make us all salty at SENA again: KHUX JP is getting all of their Jewels refunded again (which means free Banners), because of a notice error. Like the last time.

I'm happy for KHUX, really. But would it hurt SENA to do this once? They've had so many worse notice errors in the past, and we've only had one free pull as compensation.
I don't think I've encountered any eggs and I've gotten... 6 Hayners now. Some times the only enemy I wind up fighting is the boss and I've gotten a medal. Could be my imagination, but it seems like I'm more likely to get a medal in the levels that used to house the Adventurer.

Well, Evolving a 5* into a 6* does carry the trait over (always has for me in any case), so the only way to test for sure atm would be to evolve a Meow Wow with a Trait into the fused SRMW medal and see if the trait carries over, since that's the only other medal like this in NA IIRC (Mowgli and Pals go from 5* seperate to a 6* fused, so it's not the same case as 6* evolving into a fused 6*).

Faemarch, just take out the NA, then. They really are trying to make Union Cross the focus now, outside of HSCs, etc. Not a fan of multiplayer, but I get jewels and MMs, so I'm cool with that. I just won't go all out for doing these combo medals scenario.

Defense medals are becoming very important in this game, though. These medals are more useful than you may think. Especially the HPO, one.
They may be worthy medals, but I don't enjoy the grinding aspect of this game, so if I get them on my way to getting my jewels and MMs from the boards, fine, but I decided I was going to play only what I found fun in the game. Grinding in multiplayer isn't one of those things.
So how many Nova Levels can we get from these? 24? 1+5 from each medal, and then 6 from the combined one?

Do i put on a rare item drop. Do i put on a rare enemy perk outfit for eggs to appear more which could drop the medals, or do i put on and item drop perk outfit to make more medals drop.
or is it just easier to wait until 7 and 11 oclock

I have no idea how it works, either. The eggs are not guaranteed to drop the medals, I know that much. In fact, it seems like the chances of getting one from an egg are pretty low. I put on an Item Perk costume yesterday and eventually started getting a lot of them. So I think Item Perks help the most.
During the bonus times, the eggs may have a higher chance of dropping. I believe I got at least one medal everytime I played during those thirty minutes except for once.
Why does the trait system in this game hate me I'm never getting extra attack D: I farmed like 20 Hayners yesterday and Pence isn't being any nicer. I could make a set up with like 100% resistance to every status effect at this rate...

I know, I farmed so many extra Hayner's on top of the amount to level up/guilt and I couldn't get extra attack. I hope my luck is better with Pence B.

noull need roughly 12 of each character and 17 for one because if you guilt one of the 3 then then the guilt carries over to HPO you wont Nova so you have to make a 3 dot of one of them and a 2 dot of that same medal. then evolve them both to get HPO and then youll get the nova
so theoretically you'll need that plus another 17 or each Character to get individual nova
so at the end of the day you need 29 Hayner 29 Pence 29 Olette, with one of them being 46 of the same medal, and that doesnt include trait rolling for extra attack with may take 1 to 10 more of each
and then maybe youll want to make this medal twice and give it sp quage 1 so you can get super turtle defensive. in that case you will need another 6 of each one because you wont need to guilt this second one cuz that be dumb so you are looking at 35 of each medal

Well, if you fuse a medal without trait WITH a medal that has a trait, yes, the latter will keep it - but I did it the other way around for my experiment, to see if the trait carries over. And it didn't D: even though people have been saying it does/should.

lol Muke that sentence confused me, this is how it works according to what i Know
Example
I have Mowgli and baloo it has extra attack, I have a king Louie it has Poison resist, if i use King louie as the base medal, and click evolve
then Moglie and pals will have poison resist. If i click evolve on Mowgli and Baloo and make Mowgli and pals it will have Extra attack. So thats how im assuming the HPO medals will work i wont know until thursday for friday because Hayner was a dick and wouldnt drop to save my life even during special hours
... just never mind anything I said. xD I totally mixed up evolving and fusing. I was talking about fusing (the lv up menu). xD
By the Gracious love and generosity of lord Pence i was able to role extra attack on the first try now im set to get the medal i need
Still no Extra Attack for me. D: I want to think that if I spend the whole 30 minutes farming during the bonus time in a couple of hours that I will be able to get Extra Attack, but I must have wasted a dozen Hayner B's from last night's bonus time only to still not get Extra Attack.
I got Extra Attack on Hayner. Now to just get everyone to 6* and pray for good guilt.
Well this bonus time was a lot less friendly and did not give me anywhere near as many medals and once again I could not get Extra Attack. This game hates me.

I could have Guilted Hayner twice with how many medals I had to farm to roll Extra Attack in JP, you'll get it, eventually...
Thankfully NA spared me the trouble of 6+ hours of Hayner (and Olette, I even Guilted her and didn't get EA on her) farming for Extra Attack and gave it to me on the 5th roll for Hayner.
Don't mean to eavesdrop (well yes, frankly, I do), but just to be clear, in NA when evolving a Hayner B, Pence B, or Olette B (with Extra Attack) as the base medal into HPO, the trait will carry over?

As for Guilt, you do want to try to get the individual H/P/O medals guilted for the free Nova levels, but don't use a 100% max-guilted H/P/O as the HPO medal base since you'll need to use a Mirror/Guilt reroll to get the Nova levels for HPO.
welp despite not being able to mega grind i was able to do a lot better with lord pense then Hayner, I have a three orbed with extra attack another 3 orbed with 2000 defense and a 2 orbed with extra gauges and 2 spares so i can almost guilt him
seeing as there is a lot of confusion with this Medal i will do a mini update on my medal farming guide it wont be a main part but just a post explaining everything thats confusing people well to the best of My knowledge on how Sena Explained it. ill post here when its ready

depends on your poison i suppose either item drop rate to increase the bosses chance at dropping the medal or rare enemy to increase prize eggs to drop multiple copies, personally id go item drop increase,
I wish the drop rates were boosted. Even with the rare enemy and item drop perks, I still feel like the medals don't exist and I'm just getting nothing but coins I can't use anymore because I completed the boards. A shop where you can spend 10000 coins to get a copy of the medal being offered would be pretty good, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.
I feel I've been getting more medals with the item drop perks than the rare enemy perks. I don't know if the rare enemy perks even affect the spawn rate of the eggs since they appear to everyone in the game. Item drop perk definitely seems better. The eggs don't drop the medal half of the time, anyway. Summoning them is worthless.
The drop rate in this event is so weird. I just got done playing for thirty minutes, possibly even more and didn't even get one Olette. It's a huge flipping waste of my time because I've already completed the boards and now have nearly 150K coins.
This whole thing is riiiigged. I had like 8 copies of Olette. And what did I get every single time I fused them rogether??. Exactly. POISON RESIST. THANKS FOR NOTHING, GAME.

I've been dealing with the same nonsense. Olette is my last chance to get Extra Attack and considering my "luck" with Hayner and Pence (even though I must have fused 20+ of each), I'm not very hopeful.
I think Square have claimed all trait rolls are random, but I'm having troubles believing that...
Certain medals seem to have higher chance at stuff like status resistance, others have better chances at Extra Attack and STR+1000. When I see shared medals of the same medals I have, they 80% of the time have the same traits as I.
I have a hard time believing that anything in this game is truly "random".
I don't know why they'd make it so hard to get extra attack on these medals. The amount of defense the HPO medal gives is not revolutionary to the game by any means. and for god's sake, the amount of farming one has to do just to get each medal evolved to six star is already so bad. Getting Extra Attack after all of the work is really the least that we could get out of it.

D: I had a theorypothesis while farming these the first time, that there's an invisible stat that determines your drop rate that also rerolls itself when you start fresh from the main cross menu. It would help explain the disparity in drops that occurs. So choosing to exit cross and restart again could possibly help with the drop rate if you're just not getting any. It might still depend on your drop perk too, so you'd want to take that number into account when deciding how many matches to play in a row before trying to restart. Of course its just a theory (a GAAAAAME theory xD) that I've only based on my own experiences, but it's an idea nonetheless.

I feel like the Khinsider Whole Union Cross board is going to grab there torches and pitchforked on me For me on this one, but i fused my first of lord pence and rolled Extra attack on it, then last Night i Fused my first Ollete and also rolled Extra Attack on it. So theoretically i now have the opportunity to Make 2 HPO medals with extra attack if i want or just make a guilted Pence or Ollete with Extra attack.
So if will you excuse me now im going to go find a nice Cave or safe house to hide in because im Sure Muke, Harmonie, or Wilderness are going to tie me to a post for witchCraft

I'm joining this party. I have exactly zero (0) extra attacks on any of my medals and Olette isn't being any nicer than the boys, I keep getting nothing but useless resistances. Reveal your secrets.
Also, I think it's a bit weird we got less coin boards than usually this time, considering this farming thing is going to make people play it more. Where do I turn in my 40k coins for something useful? xD Just have a board where 10 jewels cost 10k coins or something, anything to make some sort of use for these.
They should let us convert any type of coins so we actually get something instead of letting them all dust……

I can believe that. I certainly noticed that resetting with the Adventurers was very useful, because there seemed to be a pattern, and you could go a long time never seeing an Adventurer map while resetting would help you find one quicker.
It plays with your mind, because you think it's actually randomized and that resetting won't really help you much in the long run, but perhaps that isn't how it's working and you're only digging the hole deeper with that mindset.
EDIT: Olette came through for me. I'm so happy. Now I don't have to spend any more time on this today!

Finally got my Hayner, Pence, and Olette medal today, and can safely say it does transfer both guilt percentage and trait of the medal you evolved. I got double cast on Hayner B, so I used his medal to carry double cast onto the fused medal. :3 So glad to be done with that farming...

So ive guilted pence ive guilted Ollete i keep rolling low numbers on them also can make a second HPO with extra attack on it so thats good ill be abe to go mega turtle mode with 2 if i can get sp guage 1
