I really don't remember there being a Dragon Ball roleplay, and I have a few Ideas for one, but was wondering if anybody would be interested in one.

I honestly don't think it will work. The world of DBZ is totally controlled by power levels, so the higher level wins every fight without question. As far writing the actual battles, there would be almost nothing besides "Beam Spam" and "Punch" available to a person.

If the proper restrictions are applied then it can work. DB(Z) RPs have been presented in the past without much worry given to power levels. For the most part, in the RPing world, that aspect of the DB world tends to be left out of the picture. It's just a matter of outlining where the general window of power is to start, and moderating progression.

EDIT: Personally, I think doing something more along the lines of the original Dragon Ball would be better suited towards this goal. Make it more of an action-adventure RP, rather than focusing everything on the combat.

Then you obviously have not been part of my dbz or the dbz rps that were created in the past two to three years. Power level weren't thrown out there and abused. As far as writing the actual battle, you really have never seen the last few dbz rps because there wasn't beam spam and punch only being used.

Also there wasn't a real restriction for the msot part and things ran swell despite the LSSJ and SSJ3 that was running around though they got beat up.

I'm down for a dbz rp.

The kind of abilities that are involved, The powerful attacks like Special Beam Cannon, Final flash etc... But there have to be very strict rules about Growth... if you need any help I'm willing to contribute on anything...

I think doing things from a Dragonball sort of storyline would be better (as opposed to what happens in Z). Make it more of an adventure than a long string of battles. Diminish the necessity of combat to the plot development, and the whole power level issue will be non-present.

• Krillin & Tien started their own Turle and Crane fighting style schools.
• Trunks & Goten started a Kenjutsu school.
• Buu created a wife. Creating a race of Majins.
• Namekians move to Earth due to stuff.
• The main villain -a demon named Miira- has taken over the World Trade Organization.
• Future Trunks travels to an alternate Earth, and tries to set up an army to fight the World Trade Organization.
• King Kai teaches Earthlings the Kaio-Ken.
• All Saiyans had fully integrated into Humanity. Meaning all Humans are a wee bit Saiyan (stronger, live longer).

Like the actual series; the RP will be split into different Sagas. The story will follow various factions, including: Neutral characters, the new Z Fighters, the World Trade Organization, and the Genetic Saiyans (more on that in a second).

The first saga deals with the introduction of Future Trunks, and the creation of the Z Fighters. The World Trade Organization is on a quest to find the Dragon Balls, and to make an unknown wish. It's up to the Z Fighters to stop them. The first Saga (being an introduction if you will), will have the Z Fighters finding the Dragon Balls. The wish that they make then grants them a transformation. As follows:

Humans

• Android: This is the weakest form (it's not a transformation). But once a Human becomes an Android the effects are permiment. As the story progresses, they can get uprades, and further transform into a Super Android.
• Super Saiyan: A Human can gain the Super Saiyan transformation. But at first they can only utilize it once every other fight. As the story progresses, they'lle be able to unlock the transcended , 2nd , and third transformation . At that point they will be able to enter their initial Super Saiyan transformation at anytime.
• Great Apes: The strongest form, the Human grows a tail. Once they face moonlight, they will transform into a Great Ape. Though this is only possible once a Saga. Later on they can gain the False Saiyan, Super Saiyan, and at a certain point achieve Super Saiyan 4 [once a saga].

Namekians

• Mutation: A mutation can be granted in-which they grow around nine feet taller, get an enhanced build, and grow wings. They also regenerate faster while in this form. At first they can only transform once every other battle, though once quickly mastered it can be used whenever. Later on they can gain a Geno Mutation, giving them dinosaur like features, and further increasing their abilities.
• Super Namek: Achieving this transformation allows a Namek to fuse with another Namek (NPC's allowed). Where they gain super strength, speed, and endurance. Throughout the RP they can further increase their Sync ability, and at one point they can either fully meld with another Namek, or meld with two others.
• Elite Namek: Basically Great Ape... yeah.

Majin:

• Wonder Majin: Super Buu, can absorb enemies for a short amount of time.
• Chaotic Majin: Kid Buu.

After the completion of the Intro Saga. The Genetic Saiyan Saga begins, in a nutshell: Miira found the Saiyan DNA he needed (a captured Trunks) to start cloning Genetic Saiyans for his army. Trunks -who remained unconscious for two months- awakens. It is then revealed that the Genetic Army of Saiyans is what killed his original timeline [Miira is from that timeline too], so he then sacrifices himself: Destroying almost all of the facility. Though a few pods containing the Genetics remain. Any RPer who used a World Trade Org. character in the Intro can make a Genetic Saiyan. This is where the RP unfolds, the Genetics can align themselves with anybody, and can transform into special transformations revealed later.

Then yatatata, blah blah blah. That's my two cents.
