Ansem found Xehanort right after BBS ended.

How many years ago was it... People with the blade of keys started to appear... And fought great battles. When they were gone, a man who had lost his memories appeared. Xemnas...no. Xehanort was taken in by Ansem around that time, was he not?

I never said the scene where Mickey saw Xehanort took place right after BBS ended. I said a few months.
There has to be time given for everything that happened after Mickey's visit to happen.

Ansem said that he'd taken Xehanort in several years ago in his first report, before he started experimenting on him.

"Several Years" is obviously either a mistake or a mistranslation.
The fact is, the time line given to us places Xehanort right then and there.

-BBS is ten years before KH1 happened. Xehanort was found when BBS ended, ergo he appeared 10 years before KH1.
-Maleficent took over Radiant Garden nine years before KH1. Thus leaving a one year span between Xehanort's appearance and Maleficent's takeover.
-Within that one years span, everything within the Ansem reports happened.

Well... its no secret that square-enix has been very very secretive about their major projects. Birth By Sleep is no different. Hell when's the time we got any new footage of it?
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they didn't show the DS face at all. You might have to wait until the game comes out.

Leon confirmed Maleficent to have taken over Hollow Bastion nine years ago.
BBS is confirmed to have taken place ten years before the start of KH1.
That gives only a one year time span for everything in the Ansem Reports to happen.

how he found Xehanort a few years earlier, and BBS takes place
10 years before KH1, so Ansem's confusion with thinking he found
Xehanort multiple years before, is better explained if he finds him
the earliest the KH timeline will permit.

Plus Xehanort was on the verge of death when Ansem found him,
so it seems that the state he was in was a direct result of the
recent events of BBS.

But we can't say for sure that Ansem found Xehanort right
after the events in BBS, even though it seems to be the case.

Personally, I have never heard someone say "I'll leave when they do" and wait forty minutes after they leave to leave themselves. It's normally as soon as.
