Name: Rina
Age: 15 years old
Gender: Female
Personality: Rina is quiet, and would rather spend her time training her Pokemon and stopping Team Highjack than engage in small talk with other people. She can work with others if needed, but she can be very stubborn if someone is being careless with their Pokemon. Rina is confident in her Pokemon and won't put them into anything that would be too dangerous for them. Almost always Rina can come up with a witty comment, in or out of a battle. Rina comes off as being anti-social to most because she makes a point of not letting anyone get close to her.

Class: Scout
Bio: Rina's hometown was Agate Village, Orre Region, where she stayed until she turned ten years old. Throughout the time that she lived there her parents ran the Pokemon Day Care, so Rina saw many Pokemon, and when she was older even cared for many of the Pokemon. However, one time when there was only a few months until Rina was ten, a Pokemon trainer left their Pokemon at the Day Care; Umbreon. For many months Rina and her parents took care of the Umbreon, waiting the trainer's return to pick up their Pokemon, but he never came. Rather than reclaim his Umbreon a letter arrived finally telling that he didn't intend to retrieve his Pokemon, and that they'd be better off finding Umbreon a different trainer. As Rina was almost ten, Umbreon became her faithful Pokemon.
Not long after becoming Umbreon's trainer Rina decided to travel, searching for more and more Pokemon, and soon she found that dark and ghost type Pokemon were easy to understand and build bonds with. She caught Froslass when she was eleven, and soon after she caught Frillish. For another year Rina trained her three Pokemon, and after Frillish evolved into Jellicent, Rina soon caught Litwick. By the time Rina turned fourteen she was training in Konran, and Litwick had evolved into Lampent, and later Chandelure. About this same time news of Team Highjack began reaching her ears, and irritated that people were treating Pokemon poorly, Rina began interfering to the point it became like a job to her.

Gym Leader Temp:
Name: Bruce
Age: 24 years old
Gender: Male
Personality: Bruce tends to be cocky to the point that if he loses, he will go into an all out training frenzy. He wraps himself in his training, blocking out everything that could 'distract' him. Due to this common reaction Bruce is considered to be cold, and "heartless" by many challengers. In many cases Bruce puts off this air of coldness himself due to his lack of trust in others. Bruce almost always has a back up plan in case something doesn't work out for the best.
Around his Pokemon Bruce tends to be a bit more lenient in his outward shell, but this doesn't stop him from training them to the point of near exhaustion. Denial is something that Bruce doesn't believe in, as he also sees this as being "weekness" of the heart. His motto: "If you win, ebrace it, if you lose, embrace it more."

Bio: Bruce grew up in Jubilife City with his grandparents while his parents traveled the regions. For as long as Bruce could remember he'd been brought up by his grandparents as he'd never received even a letter from his parents. For this exact reason, when Bruce was five and found he had a little sister on the way, Bruce promised himself he wouldn't let her come to the conclusions that he had: their parents didn't have time for them. Bruce took care of any questions his sister had concerning their parents, and eventually Bruce and his sister Jasmine went to a Pokemon Trainer school where they first encountered a powerful Wingull. Bruce and Jasmine were amazed, and so started Bruce's connection with Flying Pokemon.
When Bruce was old enough to go on a journey of his own, he was ready. He had already caught his first Pokemon almost a year before he was ten: Skarmory. For many years Skarmory was Bruce's only Pokemon, as he didn't want to become ignorant to Skarmory's needs, but soon he was beaten by a trainer that had six Pokemon. Up until then Bruce had been gaining confidence, perhaps too much confidence, and so he set out searching for more flying type Pokemon until he'd caught Emolga, Braviary, Archeops, and Mantine. By this time Bruce was close to twenty years old. He trained each Pokemon carefully, aware of how far each Pokemon could go, and after a tough training session he would always take care of his Pokemon. At last Bruce caught his sixth Pokemon when he was nearly twenty-one years old: Salamence. Salamence was the hardest Pokemon for Bruce to train, and he saw it as a test of how strong he really was. Power had become something important to Bruce, so he trained Salamence to the point the Pokemon was equal to his other Pokemon. Not long later Bruce had challenged every gym leader in two regions, and when he reached the Konran region Bruce was twenty-two.
At the Konran region Bruce took up a position as a gym leader, battling confidently against any challenger that came his way. Soon after Bruce became a gym leader, and after accepting many challenges in which wins and losses were exchanged, Bruce was confronted with Team Highjack. Team Highjack offered a chance of more power, and the offer intrigued Bruce. Despite his confidence in his Pokemon he had lost more battles than won. Not longer after the offer was supplied Bruce accepted the offer as a gym leader working with Team Highjack.
