The battle music remixes Aqua's theme so beautifully, I know they did the same in 0.2 for Mirror Aqua but while that one just sounded creepy, this one speaks volumes about sorrow and isolation. At least from what I can tell xD

So presumably this scene comes right before Sora reaches down into the water to grab Aqua's hand, considering where the fight is taking place.
I dunno, I wish I could get excited about this, but nope. When they revealed it was actually Sora facing off against her I just kind of rolled my eyes.

I dunno I figured Sora fighting Aqua was a foregone conclusion once we knew she was infected with darkness. Someone has to save her.
This was just a demonstration for show. They can give Sora any Keyblade that they want him to have lol

Plus they only showed like three seconds of the actual boss fight sooo...yeah, really excited to...do that. When the game comes out.

Yeah, it sucks. Nomura and the marketing team saw that people were freaking out about Aqua and took that as a sign that they should just show everything about Aqua and now we are all in this awkward position of being like "oh good new footage" and "OH GOD PLEASE NO MORE"
It is definitely downhill from here.

So Aqua has about 6 HP bars. The toy alien ship in Toy Story has 2 or 3. The ice wolf from Frozen has 10 from what I counted. Even if Arendelle is the first world of the second batch, that likely means the Aqua fight takes place between the two segments. We haven't seen any midboss footage from Monsters Inc or Tangled yet have we?

I’m not sure how reliable either the Keyblade or her health bars are for determining when this takes place. The former could have been programmed for advertisement. With her health, it could be that she is just a boss that requires more defending and strategy as opposed to just spamming attacks like a lot of the larger creature bosses. So maybe they scaled her HP down so the battle doesn’t go on forever. .
I mean, Mickey's trapped in that dark portal thing and Riku seems like he just got his ass whooped... Sora's the only candidate that makes sense, when you consider that he finds Master Keeper on Destiny Islands and "May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key" was said.
And also, we don't know how this fight ends either, for all we know, Sora could get his ass whooped too. Who knows what could happen. We also don't for sure know when this takes place, we can make estimates based off the HP Bars, but I don't think that should be taken 100%.
We don't know if this is even during that same visit to the Dark Realm or if Sora goes back after them to be the hero and do what they couldn't do because only he can or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I would prefer it if this takes place at the beginning of the game so they could back to doing interesting things with Aqua for the rest of it but so far all they've shown is scenes of Aqua in peril and needing everyone around her to come to the rescue so I won't hold my breath on that.
Big Hero 6 was the last world chosen. It's more than likely the last Disney world visited due to the fact that Big Hero 6 is the most recent property chosen chronologically speaking, and Neoshadows were in the world.
Sora could have entered into the Realm of Darkness through the portal created by Allister Krei.

Fair. It also doesn't help that we don't know what was said in the very beginning of the battle, because maybe we'd have a clue on when this in particular is taking place. Though it looks like it's picking up from where the newest trailer left off with her scene. And if her speech is continuing off from the "Mickey, you're too late" contexually, then we'd know it took place around the same time. It makes me wonder though, if the Aqua fights happened at two completely different times... How were Riku and Mickey even able to get away? You'd think Aqua in her current state would just finish the two off, not let them run.
But there's also the scene with Aqua knocked out and Vanitas getting ready to stab her, like what he almost did in BBS. Aqua's already in the Realm of Darkness from the end of BBS up to now, and the scene in the trailer kinda looks like Realm of Departure, given the environment. Now of course, we don't know where that scene is taking place, but unless this is another Destiny Islands situation at the end of 0.2, it'd make sense if that scene takes place after she's rescued. And that would make sense if it happens way later on, because Aqua needs to be there for Ven to be accessed. And if Sora's also doing a Dive like what Riku did in DDD, it stands to reason that he'd have the Power to Awaken Sleeping Hearts by then. So the fight here could be happening around the same time AND relatively early in the game as well.
Idunno, I'm still trying to line it up. It's weird.

While I’ve been pretty convinced that would be the case, the other Disney worlds we get could take place after it. I do think it is at least farthest into the game we’ve seen so far. It’s also possible that Keyblade was just equipped for advertisement purposes.
Nope, Krei's company created the portal. The Riku roaming in San Fransokyo could have re-created it using the Bug Blox to acquire Dark Aqua.
Gosh this is just amazing. Just when we think we have things pieced together, they release new footage and throw us all for a loop. I doubt they are fucking with us but it wouldn't surprise me if someone put Sora in so the real fight is kept hidden, but lordy. Does this mean what Aqua said in the BH6 trailer was aimed at Sora​ :O
