As far as I’m aware, it is just one episode. The episodes are longer, though, which might be why.

The first episode wasn't bad, it definitely feels more like the general MCU than WandaVision did.

I'll write my thoughts in a spoiler tag, though there isn't much to spoil yet.

I'm kind of curious as to how Sam and Bucky's storylines will converge, right now they seem to be on different trajectories.

I find it interesting, why Sam decided against becoming the new Captain America. Him not taking on that mantel however isn't surprising given the series name. I can't recall him having a sister in the comics, though I do have to admit that when it comes to the Captain Americas, I've never gone to deep into it and mainly know the cast around Steve. It's nice to get the more familial and day to day aspect of the hero life, something the movies don't really have time for.

Bucky having to deal with his past as a Hydra agent is rather cool, glad to see them pick that up again. Though his choice to befriend the father of one of his victims isn't the best of choices. Given this story line I assume the Flag Smashers will be somehow tied to Hydra.

Luckily it seems the Snap, 5 years and Blip aren't going to be mainly glossed over like I was thinking after Spider-Man: Far from Home. At least in the series it seems to be a theme and something that's being dealt with. I do like how they have most of Sam's issues are Snap related, both personal and superhero.

I know it's a nitpick, but the scene in Switzerland was a bit jarring. People here don't usually speak high german, so having officer call out in high german is rather unnatural. Still I know it'd be unreasonable for them go through the efforts to get someone to train an actor for just a short scene, but it did break my immersion for a bit.

Solid start to the show.

The action set piece that starts off the show is fantastic. Great show of Sam’s capabilities. Also really fuckin’ bold of the US Air Force to contract Sam into doing incognito work but then the government turns right around and gives the shield to fucking US Agent’s ugly ass.

Also man fuck that banker. Had my blood boiling. Shit was too real and I was ready to punch something. Still heated, too. This is just the tip of the iceberg of racial inequality that’s going to appear in this show and I’m so excited to see it addressed.

Man, why did they put Don Cheadle in that ill-fitting uniform? Or are the baggy pants to imply Rhodey has the prosthetics underneath?

All of Bucky’s scenes were my favorite. The scene framing, the colors, the acting, the guilt Bucky feels, the alienation because even when he is honest with people nobody believes him...the desire to be a part of society but not knowing how he fits in...I love Bucky Barnes and he doesn’t deserve any of the pain he's going through

I loved his therapy session. His therapist is exactly who he needs in life, too. She’s sarcastic and takes no-nonsense.

The show is going to end with Bucky and Sam sailing away on the boat, isn’t it?

That was the most cinematic shit the MCU has done.

Cinematography, production design, colour grading, dialogue. All stunning.

The editing was especially magnificent and was in perfect command of both inhale and exhale in pacing.

That cold open was beautiful. And every single shot and scene felt curated, crafted and purposeful. None of the classic MCU blandness from older films.

That first action sequence was a bit too long, though.

The first scene of the first episode was damn good. I'm pretty pumped for more episodes.
