Re: Durarara!!

Is it bad that I think that a lot of the guy voices sound incredibly generic and not at all unique? :/

Re: Durarara!!

I did notice some distinguishable change from JYB of his Izaya compared to his Lelouch. Izaya sounds much more cold, hostile, and indeed a "douchebag", Lelouch, was much more of an different attire.

Crispin sounds a little different than I thought. More gruff, than what I first imagined as a Patrick Seitz, or Travis Willlingham role.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

The only ones that particularly stood out to me as being any good were Izaya, Shizuo and Celty (as well as Shinra, Simon and the Italian dude, to an extent), but that's to be expected since all of their voice actors are veterans. Everyone else is relatively new/inexperienced.

Re: Durarara!!

I really like this series, I remember before it came out and seeing the trailer really made me hyped to see it. I love the character cast, it's probably one of the best I've ever seen in Anime. You've got Shizuo (BADASS need I say), Izaya (Cellphone and boyfriend stomping hobbies ;D), Shinra (just plain adorable) and Celty (Hawt headless chick?!). There's many others too, but these were my favourites.

Re: Durarara!!

I watched the first three or so episodes and I am absolutely in love.

I hope the awesomeness continues because this could end being my favorite anime ever ;A;

Re: Durarara!!

i liked it, it just ended with plenty of loose ends, so i didn't really know how to judge it overall

I personally thought the plot started to wind down considerably after the first 13-14 episodes.

Re: Durarara!!

i agree with you. There were characters that were given emphasis via the opening theme, only to play very little roles at the end of the show. Was there supposed to be more after? cause i know Baccano had its little extension as well

Re: Durarara!!

I believe there are more novels that the anime didnt delve into. Which is one reason I felt the series left a big hole for improvement that was never filled.

The other reason was, seeing how it was written by the same who wrote Baccano!, I was expecting this to be of the same caliber. But that was silly of me, Baccano! is on a whole different level of awesomeness.
