It can also be the end, although that would be the final climax (often the final battle). Between climaxes are mostly for revealing things, like i.e. in BBS Master Xehanort finally dropping his mask and destroying the Land of Departure or Ansem SoD revealing himself for the first time in KH 1 ("It is I, Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness!"). Those kind of climaxes are what I'm talking about now.
I don't know if I ever showed you the picture of the first main antagonist though, I've shown it some readers already but I lost track of which ones, lol.

Oh, I think I've come quite a way already and considering I know exactly which things need to happen next it's pretty easy to follow up if there's time to write again. I know, lol, it's a bit of an unorthodox number, but keeping chapters short is easier for proof- and betareaders.
210,000 words? In my terms of chapter length that would be around 105 chapters, lol. I have to admit though that much of my writing going bigger on the word count is not only descriptive writing but also including that much characters and give them all a bit sufficient screentime.
500,000 would really be massive overkill, that would be 250 chapters in my wordlengths, such lengths are better split into two if not even three separate stories. Such monster-stories are surely also particulary rare around the net I would assume.

And a number that remains overseeable as well. It's hard to estimate that just yet as it depends how much detail each arc will need and how long it takes to resolve the mysteries and conflicts. The only constants so far are

Prologue: 1 chapter (not counted within the estimated 90)
Introductory arc: 16 chapters
Epilogue: 2 chapters (not counted within the estimated 90)

Another thing to keep in mind is that these are only estimations I am making on my story-script only outfitted with core-milestones for the plot. Depending on how much I go into detail in certain character relationships and freshing out the descriptive narrative it might become a little less than estimated or even more, I simply can't say as I don't want to restrict myself in writing by confining me to a set frame of words or chapters.

I can't yet say about FF XIII-2 though, so I didn't actually get inspiration from there. As for what kind of place it is, well, it's basically a horror version of Destiny Islands as described, and it's the "home" of the first main antagonist (again, nope, it's not Xehanort). As for why Xion is there, she is forgotten by everyone and since memories (and therefore also Xion's consciousness) are immortal and can't disappear for good, they instead fall into the abyss of the darkness where they are confined and covered. So strictly speaking, it IS a "Dark Side" inside the dark abyss, it only remains to find out "which" dark abyss.

Not much happened to me, just the usual. Schoolwork. Homework. Clubs. Sports. Friends. Same old, same old. This summer I haven't done much but sleep a lot and go to amusement parks all day with my friends (which I just got back from now). I'm also volunteering at this summer music program that I think I told you about last year. But this year instead of being one of the students part of the program, I'm now an assistant! I'm really moving up in the world :')
Ooh weird story that happened today! So at the amusement park I always go to there's this "Model Talent Search" booth set up and there are people who stand by it searching for potential models (which pretty much means they stare at people walking by all day and judge them by their appearances). And today when I walked by this lady came up to me and asked if I have ever considered modeling! It was really shocking for me (mind you I've walked by that booth a thousand times and I've never been asked that before). Well of course I said no since I never considered myself "model" material. But she suggested I take a flyer in case I was interested! It was really weird for me. I didn't know what to think! Crazy, right?

Lol crazy is always good here. Yeah I noticed the rep and it intrigued me. How does it work? Aw shucks everything's in the KH section? That's too bad I guess I'll have to wait then. Oh and by the way I'm getting my 3DS tomorrow! I'm so excited! Teehee there's nothing wrong with a lurker! I do that on a lot of websites I go to! Hi I know it's been so long since I've talked to you and I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sorry!!!!!!!!!! But I have a reason I swear! And I shall explain my boring life story to you now because you deserve to know. I don't know if you remember but a few months ago I believe I told you how my power went out for a week and my internet wasn't working. Well after it came back every now and then the internet would go again for a few days. Then eventually it just stopped working period, and my parents decided to NOT fix it and said we should take a break from using the internet (!) So for the past few months I have been without the internet and have only used it at school and when I visited my friends' houses. And it was only 2 or 3 months ago that I got a new iPod (I also think I told you that I had lost my iPod before my internet went out) so I've been able to use that whenever I'm in a place where there's wi-fi, which was usually in school. But somehow I convinced my parents to agree that if I was one of the 3 top students in my class at the end of the year when class rankings were announced they would fix our internet so I can use it. Fortunately, I got third in my class! So about a week ago my internet was booted back up and I have been trying to catch up with everything I've missed these past few months. It wasn't until today I was able to get back on KHI and send you this message.

And about posting on here I'll have to hold off for the next few weeks because I decided that since I still know next to nothing about the new KH game that came out I might as well not spoil the game for myself since it comes out at the end of July in America! But once I play it I'll definitely be on here talking about it a lot! ^_^

Hehehe, it also depends on what one considers a "climax". In this case, the "climax" is the reveal of the first main antagonist and many of the things happening in the earlier chapters will make sense.
In terms of the overall story, I think I'm about a third done by now. Remember always that my chapters are relatively short, so even around 80 to 90 chapters would only mean around 160.000 to 170.000 words, which is long for a ordinary FanFic, but not as big as the stuff I saw already between 200.000 and 250.000 words, lol.
