Hello everyone! It's been rather sparce on both the KINGDOM HEARTS and THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU newsfronts lately, hasn't it? We've all been secretly yearning for some kind of update, be it merchandise or an interview in Famitsu Weekly. Our call has finally been answered as Square Enix has revealed their Jump Festa 2013 lineup!
This year, Square Enix will be showcasing KINGDOM HEARTS 1.5 HD ReMIX, Lightning Returns FINAL FANTASY XIII, and much more! The show will feature a playable demo of KINGDOM HEARTS 1.5 HD ReMIX. You can check out the complete lineup at their website! Jump Festa 2013 takes place December 22-23 2012.

Hopefully there will be a release date for Japan. I'm crossing my fingers for April or earlier. (And if we're extremely lucky, maybe we'll get word shortly after the event about localization.)

Most of the Heartless-recolors are a bit odd. Take the Gargoyle for example, it was a sort of eerie dark purple and black in the original KH and some weird mix of blue and gold in the Final Mix.
Has the Gargoyle switched from being a Heartless to a Dream Eater, lol?
I know it's an issue of preferencee, but to me the original colorisation fits the being more:

I hope we do get a release date for JPN, SE so far have made it sound like it'll be an early 2013 release and I hope it is. I just don't want to wait too long for an EU/NA release date though, the excitement is killing me.
KH3D's NA release date was announced a week after the game released in Japan.
I'm pumped to see more footage. Hopefully we'll get to see some Disney worlds.. Deep Jungle in HD? Yes please!

I've actually been wondering how they are going to go about doing this alternate color scheme thing. It would be cool if they either allowed an option of having the alternate colorways on/off or having it be something that can be unlocked or whatever. I'd prefer the original colorways as the default.

As Spockanort said, the original colors are canon, as they're used in other games as well (look at Soldier Heartless for example, who appear in both Days & Coded).

I love the misty texture they've added into Phantom.
It will be great to see more info on 1.5. Any news for KH is good news for me. Now Final Fantasy will be interesting to see (since we know how different this game will be) I'm still on the fence about getting it, so I'm really excited to see how it looks

[/SPOILER]I can see why it's your favorite, it's quite an awesome recoloring. An I agree that the re-colorings are miss or hits. I think Behemoth is another pretty good recoloring. I thing most colorings I regard as misses were ones where they brightened the coloring with bright and energizing colors.

In English? Because the Japanese voice actors sound exactly the same as they did when they started recording 10 years ago. Most of them are trained actors from acting troupes in Japan and have consistent vocal ranges.
Since there has been no announcement of an English version of the game announced yet, we wouldn't know anything about that.
That said, we do not know if they are redubbing anything in any version. I honestly doubt it.

I honestly forgot they made 2 new versions of the Behemoth in Final Mix, but yeah those ones are really awesome too :)

I was thinking about that, but I don't think it would happen because if people got KH1.5,2.5,and 3 in one package, I can't see someone thinking (let me play through KH1, CoM, KH2, BbS, watch Days and Re:Coded and possibly DDD depending on if it's included in 2.5 in some form, and THEN move onto KH3). An HD Remix collection wouldn't put any pressure on anyone since all those games have been out for some time and it would give them a good amount of time to play through all the games before KH3's release.

It's doubtful that they'd redub the voices in English, but yes, Final Mix is essentially the localized version of the game but with extra content and Japanese text.

The original FM, yes. This HD version will have the Japanese voices for Japan.

Anyways, trophies give people the incentive to replay games. This will be worth it for a lot of people. I'm a trophy & completionist addict to I know I'm going to enjoy it. Like Chaser said, they are required on PS3 games as of 2009.
Vita sales are rather dreadful, though it would be nice to see it end up on the Vita. For now it is PS3 only.

I don't know. If your completely new to the series and could play through the whole saga in one collection there's not that would speak against doing so. maybe they'd release the bundle a year after KH3 that way if someone missed KH1.5, KH2.5 and KH3s releases they'd be able to get them all in a bundle.

Well I guess that's true.
Anyways isn't the idea behind the Vita, to allow players to continue their ps3 games on the go, maybe they'll use that function in the future. I also have the feeling we'll eventually get a Vita KH game after this saga. I just hope that in the future they keep it on one home console and one handheld that would simplify it for the fans.

They tend to be a lot more wide spread than Sony's, as well as easier on the wallet (in both game price and system price). It would also keep with the trend that has been going for a while now. As great as BBS was, it made me wary of KH games on consoles I don't have, and as a result, I will most likely not play KH3, as I have no plans on buying a PS3 this late in its life (if it comes out on PS4, it might be a possibility)

I'd prefer the Sony handhelds just for their better graphics, control and resources. Though I agree that Nintendo has the better prices and larger audience and therefor makes more sense. Also this way they can keep the series loyal to both companies.

Let's not forget about cross play between the PS3/Vita. Although I don't expect it to be on Vita at all, having the game on Vita would be nice (especially now since buying a PS3 game will give you a voucher for the Vita version).

Honestly, I don't really care if they do the whole "transfarring" thing like they've done with MGS and All-Stars or not. I really don't see why it matters at all, but then again I'm one of the few besides Gallagher who doesn't see a problem with the series being spread in different consoles.

A Japanese release date seems pretty likely, but I'm not getting my hopes up for any information pertaining to a localization there. Jump Festa generally isn't the place for that kind of stuff.
December 22-23. Not quite sure how that would be considered "very late" in comparison to early or mid December. It's always taken place around this time. A few days would exactly make much of a difference.

I had totally forgotten about the KH1FM Heartless recoloring. I am not a big fan of them, but the Phantom re-coloring is awesome.

I think I actually prefer the bright and vibrant colors more on the heartless. That's sorta why I like the Dream Eaters so much.

In the end it is a matter of taste anyways. Conceptwise though the bright colors fit the Dream Eaters better I'd say, as the Heartless are meant to be more sinister.
Even the Emblems, who are generally more colorful than the Purebloods (who can also count as Nightmare fuel, except maybe the regular shadow), had darker, more subdued colors like dark blue or maroon.
I have a feeling they always wanted to delay Versus XIII because they always had planned to make XIII-2 and LR. I've always thought that Type-0 and Versus are the past and the future of the main games.
What if Lightning fails to save the world and what we see in Versus is because she failed to do so?

Would surely be interesting, except the games aren't related at all, besides the fact that they share a common lore and terms like l'Cie and Fal'Cie. Not even being made by the same people.

but now the game's actually in production. And the HD collections alone cite that KH3 is not too far from now, at least considering how long it's been since KH2.
I like the Heartless recolorings, but I do agree they should've stuck with what actually fits in with the worlds they're in. That said, an argument could be made for a gold-colored GA in the coliseum, but not the R/W/B/Y one in Traverse Town.
