Square Enix releases new information on NEO TWEWY's reapers, story, gameplay, and more

Square Enix has released even more information about NEO: The World Ends With You, expading on the Reapers of Shibuya, the gameplay systems, and more.
NEO: The World Ends With You releases worldwide on July 27th on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and in Summer 2021 on the Epic Games Store.
Story
It was just another seemingly ordinary day in Shibuya—but not for Rindo. He could tell something about the city felt different.
He soon finds himself caught in the telekinetic crossfire of a psychic battle unfolding in the Scramble Crossing. And before he can catch his breath, a girl with an ominous aura appears before him and welcomes him to the so-called “Reapers’ Game.”
With some trepidation, Rindoand his friend Fret play along, convincing themselves that a “Game” couldn’t have any serious consequences. It isn’t long, however, until they start having second thoughts.
Rindo’sinstinct was right: something about this Shibuya is different.
The boys’ confusion is compounded by fear when they learn the first rule of this Game: if you don’t win, you cease to exist altogether.
Dead set on returning home, they must now compete against other Players in a battle for survival in Shibuya’s Underground (or “UG”).
Music
The music is composed by Takeharu Ishimoto who is no stranger to The World Ends With You, having worked on previous entries. Not only are there many new songs, but the game also features arrangements of songs from the original game, such as "Twister" and "Calling".
Characters
Shoka
VA: Bailey GambertoglioOne of the Reapers overseeing the Reaper's Game. She finds her job tedious and boring, and is hoping for something unexpected to happen that will cause the game to take a rough turn. Because of this, she is very critical of the ragtag team of newcomers, who has a hard time understanding the rules and tends to fall behind.
The hoodie she is wearing is the latest creation of a fashion brand called "Gatto Nero," which recently opened a store in Shibuya.
Kariya
VA: Andrew KishinoA Reaper native to Shibuya. He's been working the Game for a long time, but isn't interested in advancing his career and is content with life as a low-ranking Reaper. He's currently working separately from his former partner, Yashiro.
He always carries a lollipop with him, and seems to have a bottomless supply.
Yashiro
VA: Kate HigginsAlthough her mind was once solely focused on getting ahead, Uzuki seems to have outgrown her previous ambition for some reason or another—but her short temper hasn’t changed a bit. She used to work with Kariya, but currently she operates alone.
Gameplay

Reaper Pin–the key to the Reapers' Game!
Reaper Pins serve as proof that one has been approved to take part in the Reapers’ Game.
Not only do these pins grant Players the ability to telepathically Scan their surroundings, but they also educe some of the wielders’ own latent psychic powers.
Game System - Replay
Replay the past to change your fate!
Each member of the Wicked Twisters possesses their own unique psychic powers.
Rindo boasts the ability to turn back time within a given day, allowing him to alter some of his earlier actions in hopes of bringing about a better final outcome.
This Replay power proves indispensable in Rindo’s efforts to survive the Reapers’ Game.
Noise
Players in the Reapers’ Game will face off against enemies known as Noise that come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from herds of smaller beasts to singular fiends that tower over your entire team.
Avoiding them literally won’t get you anywhere, as many missions require Players to erase Noise in order to proceed. Felling these foes will also provide you with powerful new pins, so rest assured that your efforts won’t go unrewarded!
Pins
A pin that contains the "Shockwave" psych. It grants the player a flaming sword to inflict continuous attacks before ending with a high jump and slashing down.
A pin that uses the "Massive Attack" psych to send out a sharp flying kick. Charge it completely before activating to blow the enemy away!
A pin that allows players to activate the "Piercing Pillar" psych to conjure up a giant icicle from the ground. It can even launch enemies into the air.

Not that I don't love more news but why didn't they release this stuff with the rest of it last week xD
Right? I’m still confused as to why they waited a week later to release this, unless SE’s employees have too lost what the concept of time is and a week was really just a blink of an eye that stretched on endlessly...

I would both love and hate them for that.
They nailed the atmosphere and artystle, but the graphics and gameplay from the little we've seen could be more polished.
