Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue Announced

At long last, Square Enix has announced Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue at the SCEJA Press Conference 2015 live from Tokyo Midtown Hall.
Continuing from HD 1.5 & 2.5 ReMIX, 2.8 includes a remastered version of Dream Drop Distance and scenes from Unchained X[chi], called Back Cover. Not to mention Birth by Sleep 0.2 - A Fragmentary Passage!

It will be available for PlayStation 4 next year, and will lead into Kingdom Hearts 3.
This coincides with the accidental reveal a week ago, when a LinkedIn profile of a Square Enix staff member, currently working in Osaka, revealed the title as Kingdom Hearts 2.9, although that has changed.

So are we sure that 2.9 isn't just a compilation of 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8? I'm just wondering since I doubt they changed the whole game's title cause of 1 leak, we still didn't see this coming tonight even after that haha

I doubt 9 different games could fit into one package like that. I am no tech guy, but I would think that is almost impossible.

This is to soothe are appetites because now we know KH 3 isn't gonna be out till 2017.
But now we get BBS Vol 2, and get to find out what Aqua went through in the realm of darkness and I'm sure the other 2 will have stories gearing up for KH 3.

Since Winter 2016 was a rumored KH3 release date reveal made by a youtuber that has been proven false, maybe the Winter 2016 rumor is actually the release date for 2.8?
regardless my guess is that it'll release either Q1 or in Q2 next year, and KH3 will hopefully release in Q1 of 2017. So excited.

I don't have a PS4, but I think one of the Dualshock controllers has a tiny touch screen on it. Will they use that for the DDD port?
And dang, those newer graphics for the Realm of Darkness. Is it going to be something completely new, like "Birth by Sleep Vol. 2", or will it just consist of graphically enhanced scenes/gameplay from BBS secret ending and the original "A Fragmentary passage?"

I just read a comment that someone is speculating the "8" is actually an infinity symbol that represents that amount of games they're gonna give us before we get KH3 lol NOBODY KNOWS but I'll buy that anything is possible too!

I do not believe they haven't specifically said yet what it will be in terms of graphics and assets but judging by that extremely gorgeous Aqua model that is clearly not from BbS and the fact that this is being built exclusively for PS4, I expect this to be our first representation of what KH will look like on our PS4's.

That's actually pretty probable as most projects have an internal name they go by.
Then there's the fact that changing it to 2.8 allows it to be aggregated with 1.5, 2.5 and 0.2 to get exactly 7.

See above, together with the others (assuming that 2.8 stands mainly for DDD), the sum of 1.5, 2.5, 0.2 and 2.8 is 7.

So I guess these are my questions:
1: Is 3D getting new content similar to a Final Mix?
2: Is back cover like a theatre mode for X or what. That seems a little odd considering the game will continue pumping out new content. Is it possible that it's the Lost Chapter Chirithy's talking about, then? That seems likely.
3: Is Back Cover going to be done in 2D, original Kingdom Hearts graphics OR Kingdom Hearts III graphics?
4: What's going on with BBS.2? Like, I get it but w h a t is it.
That's just where I'm at right now. Waiting for more info, like y'all.

Yeah, there wasn't enough material in the actual secret ending to justify a whole separate "game", they definitely will be elaborating on the things shown and well yeah ideally parts will be playable.
Speaking of, I just rewatched a Fragmentary Passage, and I really hope we get to play in destroyed Castle of Dreams. Also yeah, I feel like we might get to be Mickey in the Realm of Darkness as well. Not so sure about Riku being shady with comatose Kairi in Neverland...but him stalking Roxas and Xion in Twilight Town seems more interesting haha. And then well yeah, Kairi looking dramatically at the mansion needs to get addressed as well...

I'm so glad they included the Chi stuff. I assume "Back Cover" means something to the effect of "Coverage of Backstory" aka it's basically Chi HD Cinematics, or at least the lore aspects that are important.
I'm still dumbfounded at seeing BBS V2 and Aqua in glorious next-gen graphics. The Realm of Darkness looked INCREDIBLE.

They just posted a press release for the game and for Fragmentary Passage is says "from the perspective of Aqua" so I'm doubting we'll be seeing us playing as other characters, which is not to say we won't see any others, but given they specifically singled out Aqua (which wasn't necessary) makes me believe it won't be very long and it won't be more than just her. Which is fine for me, an Aqua-centric game is all I need (contrary to The Beatles saying "love" is all you need) so any and all I will take.

If you're ready for another one, count 2.8 as DDD and then add it to 0.2 BBS. Together that makes 3, not only fitting as a definitive Prologue for KH III itself, but also another arc number in the series itself.

Looking at the name again; 'Final Chapter PROLOGUE' - does Square mean that this is the final chapter of the current released games leading into KH3 which this also serves as a prologue to?

Does this title mean that it is the prologue to the Final chapter leading into KH3. I.e is there potential for 2.9 to come around or something and complete the Final Chapter fully? These game titles are hilarious either way =P

Sadly I think that will only be available in JP in the ultimate form of the collector's edition which will come with not only a front cover but a slip as well to prevent pages from sliding out of the sides. Unable to import, NA audiences will be forced to scramble with their pages flying in the wind in what will surely become an epidemic.

I do wonder how Unchained Chi will play out now. If 2.8 has everything important, lore-wise, about Chi already in it, then that will make Unchained Chi entirely optional. But I'm guessing they might be doing that on purpose, because I'm sure they're aware that most of the fanbase thinks Unchained is a dumb spinoff, so they're giving them the story in case they don't want to play the game.

I do wonder how Unchained Chi will play out now. If 2.8 has everything important, lore-wise, about Chi already in it, then that will make Unchained Chi entirely optional. something i dont understand though, is kingdom hearts x and unchain x the same game? im fighting on whether to play X or not but from the looks of it, i can just watch it once 2.8 comes out.
Unchained X is a more streamlined version of X. They tell pretty much the same story, but the smart phone version features going to worlds on missions whereas the browser version features those missions as "stories" in open world environments

Believe me as this is the only time I would say this during the hype, the only game worth to me on a XBox is Vesperia, nothing esle on a XBox console interst me than what I find on Sony and Nintendo. Plus, worried of enjected disc being the end of me.

This is weird that this one is not coming to Xbox One. Everyone always said "the others won't comes to Xbox, cause Sony has some rights to the old games." Well what's the logic with this one? Are they waiting for the complete collection before being it to Xbox? or is Square going to be silly and not do the logic thing and hurt HK3 sales on Xbox. I know a lot of Xbox users who are interested in 3, but haven't played any of the others.

All kidding aside legit excited for a follow up thing to Birth by Sleep. Wonder if it will expand on Birth by Sleep's battle systems or if it designed (like the FF15 demo & Ground Zeroes) to introduce people to KH3's systems.
I'm assuming the latter since Attraction Flow was mentioned in that LinkedIn. It would be an ingenious way to release a III demo without actually releasing a demo.

SE isn't worried about the sales on XB1. They are already going to be 2:1 just by default of how many PS4 consoles have been sold vs XB1 consoles. JRPGs historically do not sell well on XB1, so at this point it'll like a 3:1 sales split. The amount of units that will sell on PS4 will outweigh any lack of sales on XB1.
Why should SE invest time and money into building a fan base on a system that will probably not buy the game? Maybe after KH3 is out they can start to think about it if they see something in KH3's sales on XB1 that may make them want to, but at this point they expect fans who may be on XB consoles to know where their games typically go and to plan accordingly.

SE isn't worried about the sales on XB1. They are already going to be 2:1 just by default of how many PS4 consoles have been sold vs XB1 consoles. JRPGs historically do not sell well on XB1, so at this point it'll like a 3:1 sales split. The amount of units that will sell on PS4 will outweigh any lack of sales on XB1.
Why should SE invest time and money into building a fan base on a system that will probably not buy the game? If there ever will be a current-gen port of the two HD ReMIXes, I think it's a given that they will also appear on the XboxOne, it doesn't make sense otherwise. 2016 will be such a puuuuuurrrrrrfect year to get that white PS4! Perfect timing, perfect way to start, this and FFXV *ahhhhhhhhh ; w ;
but just look at dat Aqua. DAT Aqua and the Realm of Darkness with PS4 graphics, I think I'll just stare at the screen lost in that beautiful chilly environment, turn the camera around slowly, listening to the RoD theme, man... I'm so glad we practically get BBS vol.2, I thought any idea related to it was fake, dead and buried forever.
I'm also curious about anything related to chi but who isn't//that's obvious xD
and I'm glad I didn't advance with my DDD level 1 playthrough much since I'll totally do a level 1 run when this 2.8 OF AWESOMENESS gets released
DDD in HD on a bigger screen will help the player lots, just remembering the Hockomonkey fight (Sora's side) on that tiny dizzy screen (even with a 3DSXL like mine), when that monkey moved in a SO FREAKIN CHAOTIC way, it sure trashed me. Bigger screen = apparently more space to actually breathe when playing level 1
(...... too bad it's like 99% certain that we won't be able to transfer Dream Eaters from the 3DS to our PS4 game... I can't imagine a thing that would enable that. I'll miss my dear Keeba Tiger & Me Me Bunny, they were simply the best for me, and until I get the materials to create a new Keeba Tiger my hair'll turn white like Young Xehanort's... ; w ; )

Square Enix describes 0.2 as "A completely new playable episode that links to the story of KINGDOM HEARTS III, taking place after the storyline of KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep played from the perspective of Aqua." so it is more than the Secret Episode from Birth by Sleep Final Mix.
It uses the Kingdom Hearts III graphics and will no doubt serve as a demo into the gameplay for Kingdom Hearts III.

I didn't think I'd want to get DDD again, but the rest of this, makes it worth it. It'll also make it easier for one of my FFXI/FFXIV buddies that I've been trying to talk into getting the collections and get ready for KH3 to finish catching up! And..at least I get yet another game to feed my new PS4 with!
And I guess KH3 is 2017 but this + a bunch of other games I haven't beaten should keep me plenty busy!

Didn't think they'd actually show of anything but damn, I'm so diddlying hyped now, that Aqua shot of BBS V.2 was the best even if I'm assuming it's just a short prologue about 3-5 hours long.
Edit - Any word on BBS V.2 yet? Could it be a full game or at least 8-12 hours like when you only play as one character in BBS, for all we know can it include other characters such as Axel or Riku in KHII, the first V.2 trailer was showing some shit like that.

No one is stalling for time as it was never ever stated anywhere that KH 3 is slated to come out before 2017.
In fact there was never stated anything regarding a release date at all. They only have an internal release window for the project and Nomura did state that he felt unveiling KH III already at E3 2013 was way too early.
In contrast to that, it was stated that it would feel odd to leave DDD out of the "catching up" package that was started with the HD Remixes and thus that something would be done with it was to be expected.
The way they actually choose right now is pretty clever too, as by including material from x[chi] they prevent continuity lookout for those who can't or don't want to play the browser/smartphone game and on top they will probably give the audience something of a feel for the actual KH III gameplay system as the episode with Aqua seems to be made with the same engine as KH III.

What for a question?
DDD HD and BBS 0.2 are the playable titles and x[chi] Back Cover is the cutscene movie.
The setup is exactly like with the other two HD Remaster packages, the only differences being that a) x[chi] and BBS 0.2 are new entries to the series and b) that it is for PS4 instead of PS3 which is because the PS3 cannot handle the new engine and graphics used for BBS 0.2, which will be like a first sneak peak on what KH III will look like.
It's even possible that the x[chi] "movie" will also be done in the new engine, meaning the Foretellers, Chirithy and Ephemera might have their first 3D-model debut already in the new graphic style.

Oh god guys....I'm just so hyped to have an other collection on the ps4. I think DDD was cool with a huge story, but I couldn't enjoy it that much on the 3DS, so I'm really really happy to play it on the ps4. Don't even talk about 0,2. Bae in a new game in the realm of darkness as prologue for the game I'm waiting for since 10 years. PLEASE RELEASE IT IN SPRING!

I just hope that the graphical quality will get better as time goes on, and that will probably happen. I am so glad that this is finally happening. DDD is a generation newer than Days and Re: Coded though as those were for the normal old DS. In terms of assets and quality, DDD is more on par with BBS than with Days and Coded.
Days and Coded both had close to no use to the second screen unlike DDD, the reason they weren't remade as full games is because that would have taken more than a year which is not something both Nomura/Square and Disney were willing to afford for that. They need the time for both x[chi] and KH III itself.
Days and Coded would have been needed to be completely remade (and thus a remake instead of an remaster) as their existing assets were simply too old/too bad to be simply remastered for the PS3.
DDD is different due to it being more close to BBS quality-wise and needing less time to be made acceptable for home console use.
Everything is fine now that my dreams have come true.

Ooh, just the idea of using flowmotion on the huge areas of KH3D on a big screen makes me so happy. And to use headphones with my PS4 controller to enjoy the soundtrack(all thou I could also do that with the 3DS). Will they remaster any of the songs? I think there is no need to, the tracks are fine as they are. Maybe there might be new tracks on BBS 0.2?

Oh god guys....I'm just so hyped to have an other collection on the ps4. I think DDD was cool with a huge story, but I couldn't enjoy it that much on the 3DS, so I'm really really happy to play it on the ps4. Don't even talk about 0,2. Bae in a new game in the realm of darkness as prologue for the game I'm waiting for since 10 years. PLEASE RELEASE IT IN SPRING!
I've been moving away from hand held (I like my bigger Tv screen) and I think that's why I didn't finish DDD. I want it spring as well, and I bet that's actually when we'll get it so that they can spend their time in the summer showing us more about 3 and pushing FFXV. That's my two cents, anyway.

On a serious note, I'm mainly interested to get a good view on the eyes of the new models.
Even in the old graphic style of KH 2/BBS/DDD, both the male and female characters always had really gorgeous and shiny eyes, a small glimpse of which we already got with Xehanort and Young Eraqus during the chess match trailer.

Oh heck yeah, the Heartless will be really scary. What if they have sections that are similar to the Final Ansem fight, where there are areas that are completely dark, and you can only see the Heartless location because of their yellow glowing eyes? I gonna have nightmares. :(

Wow...They really are gearing us up for KHIII, huh? Hopefully 1.5 and 2.5 will find their way onto the PS4 somehow so it really can be "The whole series on one system" like Nomura wanted IIRC. I was a little worried about how they'd translate a 3DS game to the PS4, but I remembered the PS4 Controller has that touchpad, so they can make it work. X Back Cover and 0.2 are the biggest bits though. Aqua looks amazing in KHIII graphics, and we finally get to learn more about her time in the RoD beyond BBSFM. Then there's Back Cover, which is drawing KHX more fully into the main plot. One of the Foretellers is a traitor, and while we've known that for a while it's still gonna be exciting to learn more. Everything connects to KHIII, and hopefully this collection will address the remaining Plot Holes in the series. So. Much. HYPE!!!!

So this is basically KH3's Ground Zeroes, except it has an actual good amount of content.
Glad I didn't have to buy a 3DS for DDD, it's the only major title I haven't played. And I won't have to deal with any agonizing 3D or outdated video quality. A Chi movie is cool, I guess. Now, I don't really give a flying cactus about BBSV2, but 0.2 is the perfect way to see how Osaka is doing with KH3's gameplay. I want to see Aqua doing all that cool shit Sora was doing in the KH3 trailers (except things like Attraction Flow, obviously).
And please for the love of Christ, don't make us use the shitty command deck for 0.2.

It always happens that way, it seems. I remember the week before they announced the 2.5 Collector's Edition, I was like "If there was going to be a proper special edition, they would've announced it by now. They're not doing it," and then I ate my words so goodly.

HOORAY DDD HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That fight with Wargoyle as Riku on the top of the cathedral is going to be BREATHTAKING! It was gorgeous enough with the tiny 3DS screen with the 3D slider, but now on a big screen with all that fire... The TWEWY crew on the big screen! Plus Symphony of Sorcery with TV speakers! (Excuse me while I go get my sheet music for the Nutcracker Suite and resist the urge to follow/play along.)
Still want ReMIXes for the PS4, but I'll take what I can get!
Obviously, I am super excited for DDD HD, but I have a question about fragmentary passage/BbS 0.2- Square Enix said it will be playable, but how do you think that will actually translate into gameplay? Giving Aqua a set list of commands and having everyone use those? It's probably too early for speculation like that, but I've never gotten to play as Aqua before, so I have no idea what to expect, lol. I'm nervous I'd die instantly every time and never make progress in BbS 0.2.

Doubtful. That would make 0.2 nothing but a overglorified Secret Episode remake. It all depends on the amount of effort, time, and resources Square is willing to spend on it. In any case we'll most likely start off at Castle of Dreams.

Since Aqua is trapped in the RoD, that will probably be the case, although they may mix it up by changing the scenery to several destroyed Disney worlds from KH 1 as a background.

So I think the big reason it's not on XB is because of the touchpad and the need that for DDD. I think they would have done Xbox if they could have. I don't think 0.2 will be more than five hours. This is a bundle of games so there's not going to be a full length III graphics game here. It's a prologue so it'll be short. It will serve the same purpose as Roxas in khII. I think 0.2 will be in III but it will be optional so that XB players have the chance to play it and you can skip it if you've already played it, but it's needed for the central story of III like Roxas was.

0.2 was described as a new playable "episode". I wouldn't expect it to be a full fledged game with several worlds. I'd expect it to have maybe an hour or two of gameplay, all in the Realm of Darkness.

Do we know if this is even true? It not that hard to believe that Square just made it multiplatform in order to get more money. Unlike any of the HD collections, KH3 is going to sell more on its name alone. Developing games is too expensive for 3rd party publishers to make their games exclusive to just one console.

Is it? It looked to me as if they ran her model through the unreal engine 4. What other reason would they not show us her face since we know who she is. I expect her whole episode to be the demo for what kh3 Will be like in our hands

You have to imagine these people are not into the series as much as we are. Like, they don't read all the interviews, they're not up to date with the story etc. and then they get the chance to do so, but they have no idea what in the world they're getting in the compilations (and are also spread out on two consoles).
They're like "If the titles are this hard to understand, what's the story gonna be like? Is it really as convoluted as I've heard?... Maybe I'll just pass on this." and no one can really blame them. It's getting ridiculous lol

I've found names stupid for games now but I see the console spread which these compilations were supposed to fix a problem. Now you have 1, CoM, Days, 2, BBS, Coded on PS3. BBSv2 and DDD on Ps4. Chi apparently on ps4 (movie) and phone and Kh3 on ps4.
Remixes were supposed to close the gap. All it's done is reduce the gap to two consoles.

I am excited about 0.2 and the trailer of it was nice. However, it kind of sucks its only on the PS4, which kind of feels like an ominous sign for future games on certain consoles again. I do think its good all around for those who are new to the series and haven't played the series before, but it feels like wasted money for those of us who eventually caved in and bought DDD for the 3DS, or those who invested the money to play KH [Chi] on the phone. I know Unchained x [Chi] is new, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was also playable on the phone or happens to be on the phone already. Again, though, for people who want to get into the series, aka the people the remasters are pretty much catered to, this isn't inviting at all. I'm all for original and creative titles, but there are boundaries to that lol

It's a shit name but people should now KH has weird naming conventions by this point. It shouldn't even be a surprise to non-fans, anyways. If somebody is put-off by the name, they probably weren't very interested in checking it out to begin with to be quite honest.
I am excited about 0.2 and the trailer of it was nice. However, it kind of sucks its only on the PS4, which kind of feels like an ominous sign for future games on certain consoles again. I do think its good all around for those who are new to the series and haven't played the series before, but it feels like wasted money for those of us who eventually caved in and bought DDD for the 3DS, or those who invested the money to play KH [Chi] on the phone. I know Unchained x [Chi] is new, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was also playable on the phone or happens to be on the phone already. I would hope that nobody actually purchased an iPhone or Android only to play Unchained and did so for a variety of other reasons. Unchained is F2P, for the record.

Sorry, I don't think I'm understanding this properly, but Unchained is playable exclusively on iOS/Android. It's already been released in Japan as well, so if you're willing and able to give it a try, I highly recommend it. It's quite fun.

Yeah Kitkat. I am still hoping for a full english release of Chi, and since I already had a smart phone b/c I had to switch carriers when Grandma died *smiles at her Samsung Galaxy Light* I prolly won't have to pay anything unless I choose to upgrade my phone. Hopefully it's Android Jellybean comparable though since T-Mobile has been slow to give us the Android Kitkat update. (Yes, ironic considering your name, but that's the way Android is!)

It seems like Back Cover will give the most pertinent information on the Foretellers and the Book of Prophecies but if you want the full scope of the story you'll probably have to play Unchained X.
I'm speaking from bias, but the game is addictive and fun.

- Explanation of Terranort's amnesia, because it's still unclear past the point that it should've been. If he really had it, for how long, or if not, why fake it, and why take Ansem's name. Questions of that nature.
- Some time for Kairi would be great, especially with the 3D stinger.
- Lea obviously has to train as well, and you know they'll showcase him, plus his whole subplot with Isa.
- YX and young Eraqus look like some of their story will be told as well.

I wouldn't let that preconceived notion of the game hold you back from playing it. It's already been made, it exists, it's not going anywhere, and it has entertainment value. Either you accept that it is something that will play a role in KH3 or be lost when this information comes up in KH3.
I think the first option is the better of the two, especially when you get a fun game out of it. Play it. If you don't like it, then whatever is worth knowing for KH3 will be shown in the Back Cover movie and any other information from chi will be readily available to know about from our website.
To resent a game is really odd to me.
Many of the mysteries you refer to aren't huge ones that will take long periods of time to explain. That doesn't mean KH3 doesn't have room for more of its own story and the added stuff from chi.

We probably won't know the final line up until the fight actually happens, but how much screen time are you expecting? Enough for them to do something in the plot, sure. This doesn't negate what I said about the Foretellers or Ephemera being involved. Personally, this is the most worthless and boring mystery of the KH series to me BUT Nomura's been so vague about this that I can understand why it's driving people crazy but at the same time it probably doesn't have any actual significance to the overall plot. Most of what you want resolved seems like it could be wrapped up in a three minute monologue.

When I was talking about the 7 v 13 fight above, I just kind of thought that giving them all screen time was implicit in that it shouldn't even be an issue whether we're giving them screentime and diving into their stories a little bit. With Kairi especially this is already implied by the secret ending and it calling her another guardian of light. This is one of the few things in KH3 that I'm not worried about.

We seem to have the opposite problems here. I think all of these subplots and character developments can and should be done easily with good writing and not have it take up the total of the 40 + hours of gameplay. I can see why you're worried, but I'm going to assume that Nomura and crew have learned their lessons and can juggle everything accurately.
With 3D we've already seen that Nomura's gotten a bit better with weaving plots surrounding other characters between disney worlds, there's absolutely no excuse as to why they can't do so in them as well.

Ansem was on the island at the time and saw one pair of Sora and Riku leave the island. If he watched two pairs of them, he probably pieced it together and went back in time after seeing Sora and Riku enter the sleeping realm. It can be that simple.
That doesn't make sense. He was already there, so the only time he would have seen two pairs was after SR already came back in time to enter the Sleeping Worlds. Which YX implies he was expecting.

It's kind of crucial to understanding the main antagonist's actions before KH1. It was indicated initially he did have amnesia. Now it's being hinted he faked it. That's an inconsistency brought about by a retcon. So, what drove him? Genuine curiosity about darkness and the heart, or working towards some big predetermined master plan? If the latter, then it still makes no sense why he faked it.

Even for the things that can be done quickly, that's a lot of balls in the air, and the writers haven't given me much confidence about their ability to manage such a large number of threads.

Not really. I resented Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts for being a slap in the face to fans. I resent that new 3DS Metroid Prime for the same reason. Perfectly natural for a game to annoy you for external reasons.
Besides, I was half joking. That's why the ">.<" I don't actually hate it like I do those other games, which I have played. It just rubs me the wrong way more than anything, especially that a game that is so important to KH3 would be relegated to a browser/phone title. I don't usually enjoy those games. Maybe UC will prove me wrong, but I expect I'll just read the synopsis.

I don't see why it doesn't make any sense, on one hand Xehanort was already there for multiple reasons outside of time travel mumbo jumbo. It's just as easy to say he came up with his own realm of sleep plot at the time.
Of course, this is me going off of memory, but I remember that all Xehanort said was that they expected the Keyblade bearer to be there the night the islands fell to Darkness because they specifically sent Kairi to Destiny Islands to lure the new generations of Keyblade bearers out of the world.
If Xehanort expected them to save the Sleeping Worlds, and he may have only foresaw Riku doing it at this point, then he'd be waiting for a point when Destiny Islands became one. The honest truth with this one, though, is that no matter what reason Nomura gives - which he may not- it will be weird and contrived.

Either he did or he didn't, it doesn't stop him from attacking his cohorts and building the Organization. What cause all the speculation on this anyway? It seems he legitimately had it up until Ansem's experiments woke him up. Or maybe he really did go a little crazy. Either way, the same result happened, so I for one don't think it contributes anything to the plot.

I think 3D's lack of...cohesion was mostly a result of it being unplanned and rushed. The pacing for it and some of its intimate moments were great. I'm hoping that Nomura's been...crafting it better. I think everything we've seen so far bodes well. The lack of story in trailers means they aren't crafting it all early and shoehorning everything else in the middle like they did II.

Riiight. Implying that something that has a concept as seemingly absurd as "Disney-Final Fantasy crossover" never threw restraint to the wind in the past? AS IF. If I remember right, when Kingdom Hearts was first announced, everyone thought that Square Soft had completely lost it. Look how that went.
But hey, you're entitled to your opinion. I'll agree wholeheartedly that DDD's narrative could have been presented in a more... organized and cohesive manner. I'm still learning about the things that were shown and implied towards the end of that game because it was so confusing. I guess I just wasn't bothered by it so much, since starting this franchise with Re:Coded and no context had me in a perpetual state of confusion anyways. I've just come to expect it and even enjoy it a bit.

Gotta share the totally original sentiment that I'm pissed that this is only for PS4 when the other collections have been for PS3. I don't really care about getting Unreal Engine graphics before KH3, in fact it ruins the surprise and mucks up a large part of the anticipation for the real thing, in my opinion.
I am excited for more Aqua material, although that's entirely predicated upon Willa Holland returning to voice her. BBS 0.2 could essentially serve as confirmation that she's either coming back for 3 or she isn't. I don't know how to feel about that. And, honestly, I'm not confident that we need to see what she's been up to in the RoD prior to KH3. It breaks up the story.
As for DDD and X, I'm glad the former is getting an HD remix for its unlikely fanbase because I know they've been waiting for it, but I still wish upon a star that X would have stayed out of the main plot. I guess it's nice of Nomura to give us a cinematic run-down of the plot relevant details, but it only reinforces what a terrible idea it was to relegate significant information about the series' larger mythology to a social web game in the first place. They had to develop Unchained for Western fans to gain access to it (presumably, whenever that happens), and now an HD movie to bring the rest of the fans who don't play that up to speed. As if KH3 even needs more plot to cover.
From the title to the content, this collection's premise is just so characteristic of the franchise's troubled history and penchant for unflattering excess. I guess anything's good for the hype, though.

Gotta share the totally original sentiment that I'm pissed that this is only for PS4 when the other collections have been for PS3. I don't really care about getting Unreal Engine graphics before KH3, in fact it ruins the surprise and mucks up a large part of the anticipation for the real thing, in my opinion.
I can see both sides of this, but if it's really constricted to Aqua in the Realm of Darkness it wouldn't be much of a surprise ruiner.

Well, Willa came back for Aqua's secret episode last year. I think she's on board for good. But I agree with the last bit, but there are always ways around it. I'm sure Aqua will discover the ruins of Daybreak Town, or meet a Foreteller or discover some Lux or something.

There are ways to make it work and I'll naturally reserve judgment until the time comes, but I'm worried that instead of entering KH3 wondering how Aqua is doing and where we'll find her, BBS 0.2 is going to give us information that would have been better presented within KH3 itself at some point in order to avoid undermining the impact of her return as a revelatory moment. Again: execution. It isn't enough just to give fans what they think they want; an author has to take into consideration the pace and structure of their story. But, again, maybe Nomura has and he'll impress me. It has certainly happened before.

That doesn't improve on the situation, like, at all. Bloat on top of bloat is just more weight in a story that has a lot to carry. X should have stayed self-contained.

Has Willa Holland expressed some interest into reprising Aqua before in the past? It would ultimately depend if she has the time for it or even if she's interested and wanting to voice Aqua again. Still I too would like to see her back to voice Aqua again since I think she does bring a sense of warmth and strength that doe fit her character quite well.

Willa Holland's performance often fell flat in BBS, I'm not sure if that was the voice director's fault or hers but I really like her voice, in my opinion it was fitting for Aqua. So for that and for the sake of consistency, I want her back.

That's not entirely true, she was a voice in the Godfather game. But as a main character, yes. She was SO good in the Secret Episode, I think a contributing factor to the offness is that the voice she uses for Aqua isn't her real voice at all. Like youtube a recent interview with her.

It's a compromise, but at least DDD has in-game text summaries of the previous games to make up for the lack of two PS4 remasters.
Who knows, I recall from somewhere that the summaries of the other games were originally planned to be text and pictures, but dumbed down to only text due to time constraints.
Maybe in the Remaster of DDD they will make the summaries somewhat more polished and revisit the ideas they originally had?
The absolute icing on the cake would probably be if the summaries were actual scenes like the mementos, but I guess that'd go a little far.

Well, it's not like Aqua is the only character slated to return and depending on the story structure she will be most likely the first to be saved anyways, so there is still enough room for impacting revelatory moments with the other characters.
Considering their status and the predicament they are in during the time BBS 0.2 is set (between the end of BBS and the start of DDD), I actually expect the involvement of both Terra and Ventus to be very limited if not even non-existant except maybe for some flying Keyblades one-shotting some Darksides again, leaving everything concerning those two completely to KH III.

In terms of the name, I don't understand the complaints. Yes it's long, but it's really spot on to what it is. It is between 2.5 and 3 (2.75 rounds up to 2.8) and it is the prologue to the final chapter of the Xehanort saga. It seems like it's the most sensible title except for the numbered games. But I guess some people have to have a reason to complain.

I don't see why it doesn't make any sense, on one hand Xehanort was already there for multiple reasons outside of time travel mumbo jumbo. It's just as easy to say he came up with his own realm of sleep plot at the time.
Originally, he was just there to send the DI to darkness to create his KH. DDD's retcon became, he was now also there because he was expecting Sora and Riku to come back to that moment, and he would mark them both as recusants, so he traveled there after meeting with YX. The fact that he hadn't met either of them yet is just one hole in this story.

YX never said anything, that's my point. He said "Simple," and then didn't answer the question. We see Kairi then, but that's not helpful. And even then, that would only explain why he'd know young Sora would be there, not older Sora from the future.

I hope Hayden sticks with us. Surely, if they got her for one measly "Sora!" and "See you soon" in BBS, a full blown console KH3 should be no problem, right?
I cleaned up the OP with the HQ logos (beautifully cut by Sign) and the screens released yesterday as well in order to provide a more coherent OP about the game.

He admitted once that the primary thing he looks into when planning the story is to make it "surprising". Sometimes though he tends to get way overboard with this and hurts his own narrative in favor to add three or more new twists were one would have been enough.
It's just like with the initial advice Nomura got from Hironobu Sakaguchi, the original creator of the Final Fantasy series who was sort of a mentor for him.
Sakaguchi advised Nomura who originally planned for a very simple, disney-esque story for the first KH that he wouldn't be able to compete if the story wasn't more complex, yet Nomura seems to have gone overboard here too and followed this advice too far.

It`s just that this is the forum that I spent most of my time now(since people are really friendly in here :) ) and I get used to the discussion and the mentality in here. So when I take a peek to other forums, the more negative reactions comes like as slap to the face and as a reminder of those.

Good way to help put some insight to how the internet works when it comes to giving out things like that. There's always going to be a group of people who'll find something they dislike in any type of media and complain about it even if that certain media is done very good. Also I've known and been to fandoms that have some people who give out criticisms in such a blunt and almost mean spirited manner that'd you think they'll full of Nostalgia Critic clones. lol Compared to them, the criticisms here in KH Insider is very tame.

The FF-fandom can be quite toxic. I only recently started to play the older FF titles, and feel in love with the series. But oh boy what a shock it was when I started to follow some of the FF discussions on a variety of forums. The smile that the games had created vanished quite quickly, and especially discussions regarding to FFXV are really stormy some times. But coming here, I have had really interesting and fun discussions about the game, ones that could never have been achieved in the previous forums I used to visit to. I was so glad that I finally found a place where the talks weren`t just chained up to topics how the characters are emo, gay or the new battle system will ruin the series forever. Of course people here and I of course too express concerns about the game, but they discussions are not(at least in my opinion) drowned in overwhelming pessimism and negativity.
The FFVII Remake talks terrify me also. :(
About acknowledging the faults of the series, it is different in here. Hmm, how should I describe it? In here it runs on a rather deep level, and we understand how the story and the gameplay mechanics work, and we want to understand things. But that dosen`t makes us blind about the the faults that the series has. I`ve been on places where sometimes I have felt that the discussions are related only in general stuff and it is not really deep. Only some of the aspects of the games are talked about and discussions about topics like "What was Xemans doing in the Chamber of Repose?" can`t really be started since some people think the story is silly and talks about the matter die pretty fast. Or people don`t have enough info about these things, or just are interested about KHIII and it`s release etc..... (Or questions like "Do you play KH" get an reply like this: "No, because I am not gay".....) I have had some small interesting topics talked about, but no way near as the level of that has done here.
Anyway, I don`t want to be too harsh here on other forums.
I need to start thinking the same about some more general site, and not be so sensitive. Sephiroths words if wisdom have been spoken again. :)

It's just like with the initial advice Nomura got from Hironobu Sakaguchi, the original creator of the Final Fantasy series who was sort of a mentor for him.
Sakaguchi advised Nomura who originally planned for a very simple, disney-esque story for the first KH that he wouldn't be able to compete if the story wasn't more complex, yet Nomura seems to have gone overboard here too and followed this advice too far.

The FF-fandom can be quite toxic. I only recently started to play the older FF titles, and feel in love with the series. But oh boy what a shock it was when I started to follow some of the FF discussions on a variety of forums. The smile that the games had created vanished quite quickly, and especially discussions regarding to FFXV are really stormy some times. But coming here, I have had really interesting and fun discussions about the game, ones that could never have been achieved in the previous forums I used to visit to. I was so glad that I finally found a place where the talks weren`t just chained up to topics how the characters are emo, gay or the new battle system will ruin the series forever. Of course people here and I of course too express concerns about the game, but they discussions are not(at least in my opinion) drowned in overwhelming pessimism and negativity.
The FFVII Remake talks terrify me also. :(
About acknowledging the faults of the series, it is different in here. Hmm, how should I describe it? In here it runs on a rather deep level, and we understand how the story and the gameplay mechanics work, and we want to understand things. But that dosen`t makes us blind about the the faults that the series has. I`ve been on places where sometimes I have felt that the discussions are related only in general stuff and it is not really deep. Only some of the aspects of the games are talked about and discussions about topics like "What was Xemans doing in the Chamber of Repose?" can`t really be started since some people think the story is silly and talks about the matter die pretty fast. Or people don`t have enough info about these things, or just are interested about KHIII and it`s release etc..... (Or questions like "Do you play KH" get an reply like this: "No, because I am not gay".....) I have had some small interesting topics talked about, but no way near as the level of that has done here.
Anyway, I don`t want to be too harsh here on other forums.
I need to start thinking the same about some more general site, and not be so sensitive. Sephiroths words if wisdom have been spoken again. :)

The anonymity the Internet provides sadly does often encourage some people to bitch and whine over the tiniest things. I'm already bracing myself for all the coming shit-storms for every single little thing they will change in the FF VII remake as the FF fanbase, especially the nostalgia-turn-based-purists, are in many ways worse than what the KH fanbase pulls off.
Eh, there were times when the mentality and discussion wasn't that civilized on this forum either, as surely some of the members with even older join dates than mine can attest to.

Yet still the best thing one can do when peeking into other forums and sites is to keep in mind that each community is different and the comments made on clickbait- or gaming-sites, Youtube and the like are often from more casual fans who do not really have a clue on how the KH series as a whole works beyond "walking through Disney worlds with Donald and Goofy beating up some Shadow monsters".
I'm also often rolling eyes on some of the sheer stupidity in such comments, but tend to dismiss them fairly quickly as I would have a lot to do if I had to take offense at every unqualified statement.
My biggest freaking pet peeve, I can't even go on the kingdom hearts Facebook page, the comments are almost all complaining about 3, ugh they have no idea what the story is, and they have no idea how SE is developing the games, and they're all SO ANGRY about not having kh3 RIGHT. FREAKING. NOW. I love the hardcore fanbase because we understand what's going on and we appreciate all the games for what they really are, not side games. The only side games are kingdom hearts mobile and vcast really, and the people shitposting about kh3 haven't even heard of those, I guarantee. Some of the casual fans are cool and see all the remixes for what they're intended to be, a way to catch everyone up, provide fun for long-time fans, and to attract new fans. But so many of them just make me wanna slap them lol

My god, this Jojo's comics are the best. And the greatest part about that one is that it's hardly satire.
Originally, he was just there to send the DI to darkness to create his KH. DDD's retcon became, he was now also there because he was expecting Sora and Riku to come back to that moment, and he would mark them both as recusants, so he traveled there after meeting with YX. The fact that he hadn't met either of them yet is just one hole in this story.

One of them answers how Kairi ended up in Destiny Islands: Ansem SoD knew that, since she was a PoH, setting her adrift between worlds would eventually cause her to end up wherever the Keyblade wielder would be. Xehanort himself has called Sora "a Keyblade wielder unlike any [he] had ever seen" because of how ordinary he was, so it's likely that Xehanort's original plans never even considered Sora as a factor. Plans can be adjusted, of course. Having his Heartless half annihilated by the kid was probably a major wake-up call.

I figured that Neo-Org probably kept DDD-era Riku as an option (hence why they even bothered to send Ansem SoD after him) but eventually gave up on that idea. Of course, it's also possible that they gave up on Riku altogether post-Reverse/Rebirth.
In any case, Xehanort's plans have always been a matter of convenience. If there's an option, he won't just take it, he'll exploit it to all hell. Yet if it doesn't work out, no big deal to him, he can just find another way.

That was not was Aqua's magic was for at all. That Kairi ended up on Destiny Islands was coincidence, not something fated. Aqua's spell is meant to lead Kairi to someone who can protect her when in danger, aka a Keyblade Wielder or a potential one. After Ansem SoD threw Kairi out into the sea of between there was a danger and thus Aqua's spell acted. It sought out a potential wielder and protector for Kairi. It could have been anyone meeting those conditions, but the choice eventually fell on Riku, thus leading Kairi to Destiny Islands.
And no, Xehanort's plans never originally involved Sora. The kid was not even a single blip on the man's radar until the backup-plan of DDD.
Plan A was the whole set of schemes that Xehanort made in Birth by Sleep.
One of Xehanort's traits is not only that he makes super complicated plans and schemes, backup plans for those and even backups for the backups, he's also immensely curious and likes to try things out just to "see what happens".
Stealing Terra's body was a long-time plan A made by him after he dismissed Ventus as unsuitable for a vessel so he could extend his lifespan, yet creating Vanitas and use him and Ven to create the X-blade was Xehanort starting an "experiment" and see if he could take a shortcut to his goal. In DDD he then not only admits that the shortcut didn't work, but that in his hasty curiosity to see if it would work he forgot about the true way.
Or in short, Xehanort's own curiosity got the better of him because he wanted to get results faster.
Although all three of the BBS-Trio end up in fates that can be considered worse than death at the end, Xehanort's plans are derailed in some areas.
Then comes up Xehanort's backup plan B which in involves the whole stuff with the Heart experiments, splitting into Ansem SoD and Xemnas and thus the events of KH 1, CoM/Days and KH 2. Both parts of plan B get foiled by Sora and co., which Riku actually throws directly in Xehanort's face during DDD's finale.
Hence Xehanort moving on to backup plan C (which was pursued concurrently to the othe plans just in case thanks to the time travelling) which is showcased in DDD.

Your thought is correct. Aqua's spell was triggered by Ansem SoD's actions and that Destiny Islands was the first choice was not destiny but coincidence. Riku was simply the very first potential protector the spell detected and thus acted on it.

Correct, Xehanort did not consider Sora a major factor until DDD. Even in KH 2 when he was used by Xemnas and the original Organisation, he was seen as nothing more but a mere tool and thus Xemnas had no concern whether Sora survived it or not. Even the whole affair in Castle Oblivion and all parts concerning Xion were done only in order to secure the power of the Keyblade, not because they considered Sora himself as a major factor.
They didn't really completely give up on Riku, not until circa half-way through DDD itself. In terms of vessels, Sora was actually third choice after Riku and Roxas.
Exactly, you got Xehanort's main modus operandi right on spot. Due to his immense curiosity, Xehanort won't just take a possible option, he will explore it in and out just to see what happens. If the outcome is favourable to him, great, look into the next step, if the outcome is not to his liking, meh, who cares, let's try something different.
The scary thing however is of course that all of Xehanort's faulty exploits also leave behind a bunch of destroyed lives and suffering left and right.

You still need to have a guide or something to know what those ones are. I'm on my third NG+ playthrough (starting from scratch with 2.8 is going to be soooo hard with regard to DEs and abilities...) and I've only just found out one or two more I didn't think were permanent (that actually were) on this run.

I ignored the abilities menu mostly. Just focused on the different boards and what I needed to get the abilities I wanted. Plus it doesn't help until you actually HAVE the ability. It doesn't actually tell you explicitly which are party-linked unless you bother to read the text at the top.

I knew which abilities went with each DE, I just didn't know from the start which abilities were and weren't permanent. After I got the DEs in my party to change disposition, the first thing I did was check if it unlocked a new pathway.
But just because it says that one type of ability is party-based doesn't exclude the others from also being party-based if it doesn't say they're permanent. That was what it took me a playthrough or two to figure out.

The only skills attached to Dream Eaters were stat boosters, like resistance to elements, hp and defense increase, etc.
And he already clarified that he was operating under the assumption that all abilities were tied to Dream Eaters and didn't know that some were permanently unlocked lol.

You have to max each chart again to get your abilities back, including the red list ones like 2nd chance, which I find bullshit.

A proper new game+ would go so far in enjoyable factor for not just DDD but any KH game.

I thought the deal with sleeping worlds vs RoD worlds is that when a world is destroyed by darkness, it's brought into the RoD, and then when it's freed, it comes back to the Realm of Light, but some stay trapped in sleep despite not being in the RoD. Cause we know that worlds in the RoD are "sleeping", as in time sort of stops (or at least slows to a crawl) and the world and its inhabitants are in a sort of suspended state until the world is brought back, but then if the world doesn't fully awaken (because... reasons) then it becomes a Sleeping World.

You're correct. Yen Sid explains it as such:

There's no mention anywhere that worlds that get destroyed end up in the RoD or become a Sleeping world.
As far as Yen Sid's explanation goes, the sleeping worlds are worlds that were supposed to be restored at the end of KH 1 alongside millions of others, but for some unknown reasons an uncertain amount of them was not restored fully but remaining asleep inside the Realm of Sleep.
To have a visual comparison, it's like gathering all "destroyed" worlds at the end of KH 1 into a basket, run with it into the Realm of Light (probably crossing the Realm of Sleep in the process) and then spill the basket out so each world gets back to were it belongs and is again viewable as a star in the sky.
However, the basket in question is so full that while running with it towards the Realm of Light, some of the worlds tumble out of the basket and fall off to the side without notice, remaining in sleep although they are not in the RoD anymore.
Except the whole premise of the beginning of KH3D was that Sora and Riku had to go back to when Destiny Islands first became a Sleeping World, which suggests that the worlds enter the Realm of Sleep when they are destroyed and it's just that when they were restored at the end of KH1 not ALL of them were actually restored and some stayed there. There's nothing to suggest that a world falls into darkness, ends up in the Realm of Darkness, and then for some reason if it isn't restored it then goes into the Realm of Sleep :/
In fact, aside from Castle of Dream's appearance, there is no real mention of the worlds ever going into the Realm of Darkness.

Well, I guess this can be explained by the fact that worlds have hearts too.
Going by that, I'm further going to claim that the worlds entering both is indeed correct. Worlds enter the Realm of Darkness and the Realm of Sleep, or rather, their physical remains are what end up in the Realm of Darkness while the part of them that actually IS sleeping, their hearts, end up in the Realm of Sleep.
All the sleeping worlds are said to be dreaming and people who weren't present on the world when it was destroyed are "recreated" in the dream by the world's memories. Where are memories mainly stored? In the heart.
The end of Dream Drop Distance even shows us the equivalent of the whole procedure done with a human heart.
Just like Riku and Sora "dived" into each of the sleeping worlds (which was actually a dive into that respective world's sleeping heart), in the finale Riku "dives" into Sora's heart in order to wake it from its sleep.

That was rhetorical. Kingdom Hearts is made of seized hearts. Ansem's was no exception, been made of the hearts of the fallen worlds.

Remember that hearts in the Realm of Sleep are worlds that got restored post-KH1, but didn't exactly resurface in the Realm of Light. I'm willing to bet that those worlds' hearts didn't fall into slumber until the end of KH1.
I doubt that the physical remains of the worlds could generate the absurd amount of light that blasted Ansem SoD into oblivion. ... Come to think of it, the physical remains of the worlds aren't in the RoD, they're in the End of the World as shattered gummi blocks and sparkle dust.
Perhaps places like the Castle of Dreams in the RoD are something like a Projected Physical Shell. That's the world's heart you see there, but instead of a Station of Awakening to represent it, it generates the very image of the entire world.
I don't think it really matters consider you're told numerous times that you're actually inhabiting the dreams of fallen worlds. I don't know if they're actually in the realm of sleep to be considered a sleeping world. Especially since you're 1: in the dream and 2: not releasing the worlds keyhole but the sleeping realm's keyholes.

I don't think they exist outside time, it's just that time flows differently in the Realm of Sleep. Just like in the RoD, the Realm of In-between, and the RoL.
Also, with that logic, why did Ansem's defeat at the end of KH1 restore the worlds? If they were in the RoD, they were in a realm where time flows differently, yet they could be brought back to their proper points in time in the RoL. Why couldn't the same happen for worlds in the RoS?

I guess I should have explained this a bit more in-depth, lol.
When I spoke about their hearts being in the Realm of Sleep, I did speak wholly about the spiritual layer of reality, not the actual "heart" being physically stuffed into a different realm.
The actual hearts are likely still in the Realm of Darkness, they just didn't awoke like most of the others after Ansem's forced KH in the first game was undone.
Why they didn't wake up with the others is still a mystery that cannot be answered yet.

Exactly, when I said that I didn't mean that the hearts are physically stuffed into the Realm of Sleep.
In fact, I tend to get more into the conviction that the Realm of Sleep is not a physical realm at all but a spiritual one and thus distinct from the Realms of Light, Dark and Between, which is also the reason why it exists outside time and time doesn't flow there at all.
Some may also call such a place limbo or purgatory, but in the end it means to access hearts, regardless if world, human, animal or whatever hearts, which are currently sleeping and thus at the moment "gone" from the physical world where time actually flows.
Every heart seems to have a Keyhole of Sleep/Sleeping Keyhole though as Riku unlocked one on Sora's station of awakening too just like throughout the game the Sleeping Keyholes of worlds were unlocked.
By unlocking seven of them which corresponds to the number of Princesses, one gains the actual power to awaken sleeping hearts by him/herself, which is why Yen Sid sent Sora and Riku to gain that power.
The reason why anything "done" in this realm may effect the "present" is the same as to why Sora awoke at the end of the game when Riku released his heart: All these hearts get awoken and thus return to the physical world. Once a heart gets awoken, it ceases to be outside of time and leaves the "timeless" Realm of Sleep.
Essentially, all the worlds released in DDD had their official Birth by Sleep if you so want.
Joshua talks about it too when he speaks about Neku and the others, their existences having been "brought to an end" and him hoping that by lining up the different pieces of their dreams, he can make them exist again.
This is also a metaphor for restoring and then awakening the hearts of Neku & co, since as Ansem SoD says:
Dreams hold our memories. Sleep holds our dreams. And darkness-- it holds our sleep. |
Dreams hold memories, which are in the KH verse not only immortal but also a key ingredient of any heart, Sleep holds those dreams and thus the main pieces of hearts and the sleep itself is held by...Darkness. Which comes around to the claim that the Sleeping worlds are situated in both the Realm of Sleep and the Realm of Darkness being true although not in an literal sense.

Incognito posted the quote, but I can further extrapolate on this.
When they say that real time in the RoS does not flow, it means that the worlds in the RoS are not moving forward in time but are looping for eternity. Time moves outside of the RoS, but in all essence time is halted in the RoS because nothing can advance. RoS worlds are reliving the moments before their destruction over and over.
So, no time does not flow in the RoS.

What do you mean? Why it wouldn't immediately return after KH1's ending? Because when woke in DDD they are restored properly. If it's the former then there is no reason, just there so Nomura could have a setting for DDD. =/
It's still worrying that we know nothing of the PS4 Pro support. No footage either. I am buying a PS4 Pro between now and the release of 2.8. If it's World of Final Fantasy all over again I will be extremely pissed.
