There's less than 6 months until the release of Kingdom Hearts -HD 2.5 ReMIX- which means fans can take an interactive journey through the fully remastered world of KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.5 ReMIX, as SQUARE ENIX Inc. has released a new trailer today that compares and contrasts the visuals between the original games and the HD Compilation.
The trailers show key scenes from KINGDOM HEARTS II and KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep with new improvements, including the remastered visuals, enhanced color palettes and new costumes. Viewers can interact with the new HD / SD / Compare buttons to directly see the improvements as well.
KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.5 ReMIX will be available for North America on December 2, 2014 for the PlayStation®3 system, and will be priced at $39.99. The game is now available for preorder on Amazon.

Yeah. To make it more aesthetically appealing, they got new costumes for Christmas Town in the Final Mix.
All those added colours too ... So pretty!
It does look pretty, even Christmas Town looks nicer, Halloween Town too.

It's probably just a flaw in his animations.
EDIT: I love how they just simply make the Vanilla version cloned kairi disappear with HD version of BBS FM in each slide shot. X3
As I had expected, the change in BBS to HD works really well and looks very nice indeed.

I know these "comparison" things have a tendency to over exaggerate the pixelation of the standard def versions, however I played KH2 for well over 200 hours and I can safely say that that standard def footage is pretty accurate. So, to see just how good KH2FM looks on PS3 is pretty amazing.
Off-Topic: What if they managed to make it look more simpler and better if they were ported over PS4 or will it remain the same regardless?

It isn't a flaw. That is how elbows look when you are just skin and bone.

At E3 they said they wanted to get a HD vs SD trailer out soon, so they did lol.
The differences are so impressive when you can compare them!
In all honesty, I am so done with Christmas Town and Aqua's RG scenario that I'm starting to dread going to these places in the game after seeing them so many times.
Yeah, they need to show something new or maybe a little tease of Re:coded because KH2 and BBS are nice and all, but it's old news xD
At least show us a 30 sec clip of Re:coded from one of the scenes we've already seen in trailers? Like Alice in Wonderland...*craving new*

In what sense? It would be better from a technical point but I don't think they'd change anything else

It's designed to be interactive so you can flip back and forth at your discretion.
I am looking forward to II.5 so much, primarily for the ability to play Birth by Sleep again. December 2nd is too far away. I wish they had shown Xemnas and Terra though. My concern is actually Xemnas. It would be nice if they replaced the render with the one used in Dream Drop Distance where his face is much smoother than it is in the original release of II.
Ugh so pretty, they did a marvelous job bringing up BBS for the console.
Is it just me or was that Disney logo really big and noticeable? Usually it is just SE's logo at the start and Disney Interactive somewhere at the end. O:
This is easily the most noticeable difference in an HD remaster I've seen. I hope they show at least a little tease of one of the new battle scenes in Re:Coded.

It looks pretty good. 'Gorgeous' would be a stretch. I didn't expect it to look any better than it does. Hopefully the Coded film is displayed at 60 FPS.

I don't see a huge difference between SD and HD KH II. Aside from smoothening out pixels, the game looks pretty much the same in HD. I guess that speaks wonders to how well developed the graphics were the game back in '06.

Nope. I believe Nomura likes the look of 30fps that and the game's physics are tied to it's framerate -.-

lol I'm not a graphic junkie so I didn't really see a difference either, but BbS is understandable given the largest it was supposed to played at was still really small (if you hooked it up to your TV it's supposed to play really tiny still, but some TV's auto-stretch the image...mine did and it was bad...real bad).

That's not the PS3 remaster of 2.5. It's the PS3 remaster rendered in a much higher resolution and then down-sampled to 1080p or using another crazy AA technique.
Much like this isn't how 1.5 looks like

I don't know if you've ever played KH2 but Jack gets the santa outfit at the end of the first visit to Halloween Town.
