Thought we were done for KINGDOM HEARTS Union X Japan updates this week? Absolutely not.
The World Ends With You 10th anniversary event is held from 8/1~8/6! Obtain the highest score you can to get Sora & Neku medals and Moonstones to upgrade your Keyblade! This medal is capable of 100~180% Guilt & contains 3 awakening ability slots. Those who rank in Top 100 will receive medals with Attack/Defense+1000 status bonuses.
Sora & Neku [All targets, 0 SP cost] Increases Attack by 2 and decreases enemy Defense by 2 for 1 turn, recovers 2 SP, inflicts 4 hits that deal more damage when set earlier in the deck
Stitch & Angel avatar boards are available for 2500 jewels each from 8/1~8/7!

A new Special Draw is available from 8/1~8/11 featuring Toon Ver medals based on the Kingdom Hearts manga by Shiro Amano! These medals have the unique ability to increase an enemy's counter value, if one exists! Very useful for enemies that retaliate within a certain number of attacks or medals.
Each 10 medal Special Draw guarantees 1 of 7 Toon Ver medals and 10 VIP coins. Price decreases the more you pull from the draw:

Toon Ver medals come with 1~3 ability slots filled. Sora Toon Ver is capable of 100~180% Guilt, while the other medals are capable of 80~150% Guilt.
Sora Toon Ver [All targets, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Attack by 3 for 2 turns, inflicts 11 hits that deal more damage with more HP
Mickey Toon Ver [1 target, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Power Attack by 3 for 1 turn, inflicts 8 hits that deal more damage when set earlier in the deck
Ventus Toon Ver [1 target, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Speed Attack by 3 for 1 turn, inflicts 8 hits that deal more damage when set earlier in the deck
Aqua Toon Ver [1 target, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Magic Attack by 3 for 1 turn, inflicts 8 hits that deal more damage when set earlier in the deck
Riku Toon Ver [1 target, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Power Attack by 3 for 1 turn, inflicts 13 hits that deal more damage when set later in the deck
Roxas Toon Ver [1 target, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Speed Attack by 3 for 1 turn, inflicts 13 hits that deal more damage when set later in the deck
Xion Toon Ver [1 target, 4 SP cost] Increases enemy counter by 1, increases Magic Attack by 3 for 1 turn, inflicts 13 hits that deal more damage when set later in the deck
Coliseum rewards for August 2017 feature Buzzcut hairstyles and introduce new skill: Attack UP XL II 100%!
*Select "light brown" while in the buzzcut style to become bald

Update: August 2017's Monthly 30 minute Raid offers the Twilight Thorn medal!
Raids will be held from 12:00~12:29 and 22:00~22:29 JST. Players can defeat any level 5 boss to get lots of raid coins, but taking down a level 10 Adventurer will net you a Twilight Thorn medal with Attack+1000 Status Bonus!
As soon as the 30 minute period ends, the boss level will be reset. A different boss appears each day of the week:

Oh, don't get me wrong! It's not a big deal at all. :D I'm pretty sure we'll get a full reset sometime along the line, since these kinds of medals will probably be more prominent in the future (like copy medals)

These are honestly your regular medals and nothing totally special, so no, these really aren't at risk and they'll come to global sometime down the line

These Toon medals remind me of Yu-Gi-Oh. If the system was still cards then it'd be even more of a parallel.
But in all seriousness, talk about stylish medals. I'd love to be able to draw one of these medals once they come to global.
