A new law was passed in Florida just this last week that changes the state law and even contradicts the constitution and amendments! I'm looking for the article on the web but if I can't find it I'll just scan the newspaper article. So in a 5-2 vote the court ruled that citizens now have to prove their innocence instead of the prosecutor proving their guilt on drug related charges.
Lame, thanks for pulling some Salem Witch Trial bs. What does anyone else think? We know that states can have their own laws, but I was also under the impression that they could not violate the constitution+amendments.
EDIT: So this is actually not a new law, it has been this way since I believe 2002. What happened was that the people tried to have it overturned again but the court just gave a ruling last Thursday again to keep it.
