If this isn’t Kang related at all, I’ll be disappointed. I know we’ve been here before, but this is like SCREAMING Kang. With Alioth and Ravonna being connected to him in the comics. that castle in the end resembling Castle Limbo, and other Easter eggs with Kang connections, it would feel like a wasted opportunity to put all this in and not introduce him in someway now. (Even if it’s him as Immortus instead or something and not the exact same Kang we’ll see in Quantumania.)

Episode 5 was pretty fun but it's similar to episode 3. So your mileage may vary depending on how you felt about episode 3. But I enjoyed it and I'm excited about next week's episode.

I’m certainly not ruling it out, but I think another Loki variant at this point would feel lackluster. Especially considering we just had an evil Loki in this episode.I also think it’s a bit out of character for Loki to hide out of the spotlight if he’s the one really running things.

I’d like to see Immortus (played by an older man resembling Jonathan Majors) as the one who created the TVA in order to keep his past self from becoming Kang the Conqueror. Once he’s defeated, it opens the door for Nathaniel Richards to become Kang. Maybe we get a credits scene of Jonathan Majors as Nathaniel before he becomes Kang as a final teaser.

I think it’s noteworthy that we still haven’t seen the shot of Mobius and the Sphinx. Kang disguises his time ship as the Sphinx statue in the comics when he travels to Ancient Egypt as Rama Tut.

Unlike Mephisto in Wandavision where the creator didn’t even know who that character was, there’s no way that all these references piling up are just coincidences unless Marvel is actively trying to lay a false trail of breadcrumbs that’s bound to frustrate fans if there’s no pay off.

Funny thing is the Agent of Asgard comic from 2015 did have Doctor Who vibes. So it's a long time coming .

Jonathan Majors absolutely crushed it. I can’t wait to see what he does going forward as different variants of Kang. That was so satisfying to have a theory of a big character showing up come to pass after many were saying it was just another Mephisto.

I wonder if we could see season 2 before Quantumania since that’s not until 2023.

I thought it was a decent finale and I'm looking forward to season 2.

I thought it was a decent finale that spend 3/4 of its run time on an info dump. So it might run people the wrong way. I didn't like how the Ravonna/Mobius confrontation ended. I just saw it as too vague so I would've liked a stronger tease for where Ravonna ends up. Kang felt too jokey but I'm hoping there's another variant with a dryer sense of humor. I'm just glad he wasn't a new Loki variant.

Loki's arc in the show is to go from a self absorbed asshole to someone who can form connections with others. He even becomes someone who tried to look at the bigger picture. His fight with Sylvie is over that. She wanted to put her desire for revenge over the greater good. He wanted to find a better way or atleast a middle ground.

So I hereby dub this variant as “Heroic Loki".

The finale had its problems but it does succeed at being a season finale of a tv show. Loki had an arc and answered the questions it set out. I dug it and I'm looking forward to season 2 when it drops.

A large part of season 2 is gonna be Loki working at this new version of the TVA. He's gonna try and find Sylvie as well as who the new Kang Variant is/what he wants etc. In the new TVA, there is a statue of a pharaoh. He looks like the he who remains variant and is a reference to Pharaoh Rama Tut. Who was one of Kang's alternate identities in the comics.

Because Mobius doesn't remember him he could try a different approach. He could try and blend in even building a false identity for himself while he investigates. Which would inevitably blow up in his face but what fun it will be.

Loki is going to pop up in Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness. So we might see a tease of this status quo. He would work with Doctor Strange and Wanda as part of the TVA. They might even form a mini team like they did in Ragnarok. Meet the Muskiteers of the Multiverse .

Wow wow wow what an interesting season finale/villain.

First off, I like the characters on this show. Sylvie feels realistic and they don’t try and portray her without blemishes. The way that she decided with her emotions to kill ‘he who remains,’ because of all that pent up anger from her trauma, the way that she dismissed Loki trying to calm her down when he told her he knows how she feels, with the final response of “I’m not you.” (Kiss still threw me off guard omg). It feels like she made the wrong choice and it feels relatable as well.
She feels like an emotionally driven character whereas someone like Ravonna seems like the person that mutes their emotions in their decision making (killing best bud because of protocol) or at least someone who strives for emotionless decision making. (that Mobius pruning was partly driven by anger from betrayal), she is someone who loves structure, and being a previous teacher fits her.

Now the villain, oh my god why was that villain so refreshing to me? Is it just me? He felt extremely emotionally realistic, the way he defensively responded back to Sylvie’s emotional attack on him for taking peoples lives away, with the angry defense shout of “grow up, don’t take it personally think about the bigger picture” or whatever he said. And his backstory of meeting his other variants and about his motives feel very interesting and he sorta sold me on that, as well as kinda selling Loki haha. Now I’m here thinking about what he said, about how he’s been through every scenario and that this was the best one, that his other variants are worse and that the alternate free multiverse doesn’t have a better scenario.

I’m here thinking, how could there not be one solution to have free multiverse without a multiverse war/a worse variant villain taking over? The whole backstory just gets you thinking of what the villain has explored. Like how is this sacred timeline the “best scenario” he came up with?? What if he thought of, or calculated multiple multiverse free scenarios, but found that the only way for a free multiverse to exist in relative harmony is to have him be entirely non existent?

And it also makes me wonder what his relationship was with his other variants. How did they help him in his quest for a peaceful multiverse, did he ask anyone else for help other than his variants when looking for a peaceful multiverse solution? He said he was looking and looking for “one” successor this whole time, but surprisingly found the perfect successor in the “two” variants. Why was “two” out of his ideal wishes for a successor ruling the sacred timeline? And why then did he suddenly chose the two of them? He was aware of their super strong nexus causing moment together. So it makes you think. The whole thing makes you wonder about a falling out with other variants or maybe even non variant friends of his.
How did he end up deciding: 1 valid timeline only, with him isolated (with hologram friend I guess lol?) and unknown by anyone, hidden and at the end of time so that he could have complete control over his 1 valid timeline, like what type of life is this? Is this the ultimate Loki trust no one typa scenario? Why did this happen? How did it get there? I feel like I’m ranting lolol.

I’m probably thinking wayyy too hard about this right now hahahaha. But anyways these realistic feeling characters and this new backstory that gets you thinking, makes this a good finale to me! Hurray for Loki growth this season, super excited for season 2 and what will become of the main characters…

I just started watching this series, and I'm already loving it. Although, being KH-obsessed continues to be a problem. Every time they mention the TVA, I'm thinking Terra, Ven and Aqua.

I was finally able to watch Loki. Props to Owen Wilson. He did such a great job.

I'm a little bummed it was only 6 episodes long, but I look forward to season 2. I guess I can read the millions of fan theories on Kang to pass the time
