Name: Aoi
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Side: Evil/neutral
Ranking: VII
Element: Steel
Weapon: "Metallic sphere" -- a shapeshifting weapon that can transform to various other weapons at ease. Aoi usually relies on this weapon to become a gun, a knife, and a katana, though he will rarely use it as other weapons. He can also turn the sphere into liquid metal and use it to trap enemies, either trapping their feet or trapping them inside metal shells and stabbing them as they're trapped inside. The problem with this weapon, though, is that its power can run out, unless Aoi can find a source of the exact same pure metal.
Appearance: [
link!] (He wears a slightly longer coat than the one in the picture, which goes down to his mid-calves instead, and wears black combat boots)
Personality: Extravert. At first glance, Aoi comes off as a cool and collected guy (as if he's trying a little too hard to be one of the "cool" guys). However, it's just an act, something that he does very well. In reality, he's sadistic, sarcastic, cowardly and stubborn person, blunt and very to the point (when someone needs some sense knocked into them, he will literally smack them upside the head). He's extremely hot-headed and tends to get himself into trouble thanks to his big mouth, especially when he's angry. He's very violent as well, never hesitating to threaten to shoot someone if they tick him off just enough, and has the tendency to get flustered.
Aoi is a huge dork as well, even though he tries his best to be "cool" and everything, and has the tendency to say stupid things at times; it doesn't help that he can be a tiny bit absent-minded as well. However, he's very secretive and is always calculating, forming plans in his mind and throwing them together at a moment's notice. After all, he won't stop until he gets what he wants.
More than anything, he desires immortality and seems to know how he's going to possess such a thing, but in order to gain it, he may have to betray the XIIIth Embodiment.
Bio: Aoi came from Twilight Town, where he spent his days slacking off from school and training to become a Struggle Tournament champion (something that was, in his 14-year-old days, his greatest dream). He spent every day with his best friends Ten and Haruka, especially during summer vacation. During the annual Struggle Tournament, he managed to finally beat Seifer and take the title. However, on this same day, the worst happened: a Heartless attacked him and ripped out his heart, but, thanks to his desire to see his friends again, he managed to become a Nobody, lost in the World that Never Was. He was discovered by Axel, who granted him a new name – Xiao – and took him into the Organization on Saix's orders. However, the Organization had no need for the boy, so Saix gave Axel a new order: turn the boy into a Dusk. Despite not having a heart, Axel couldn't bring himself to do such a thing, so he left Xiao in the World that Never Was with a piece of advice, when the boy asked what his purpose was: look back at the past and remember what's most important.
From then on, upon discovering that Heartless were slowly invading Twilight Town, Xiao fought the Heartless and protected his friends, although he never showed his face to them (after all, they believed that he was dead and he couldn't show himself to them for that reason). But after about a year past, something changed in the teen. No longer was he carefree, caring and optimistic. He had changed into something darker, as if he was no longer himself.
The teen joined the newly formed Organization, called the XIIIth Embodiment, and seemed strangely curious and naive about the worlds. He was eager to discover new worlds beyond Twilight Town and the World that Never Was, something he hadn't been able to do before. He spent his days in the new Organization, growing and changing into a darker character. His naivety was gone, replaced by cruelty and malice, and he seemed desperate to find something. He became obsessed with the idea of immortality, that he could live forever, and believed that he found a way to accomplish this.
Along the way, however, he discovered something strange: after the destruction of the Keyblades, years later, three more Keyblades have appeared... But one of these Keyblades is of particular interest.
Other:
• Rena and Aoi are connected through a series of events that take place years before the roleplay's story begins; this is during the end of KH1. Rena, however, doesn't remember anything that happened, while Aoi does, although he doesn't specifically recognize the kid.
• Aoi has a weakness for kittens (like a really bad weakness lol). If he finds an orphan kitten in the World that Never Was, he will adopt it and take care of it. This is literally the only caring tendency he has.
• At times, especially when Aoi is angry, his eyes seem to glow.
• Aoi's personality is inspired by a mix of Oogie Boogie, the Joker (from the Dark Knight), Axel, Larxene, and Hades; hence why he's a smooth-talker, a coward, and is sadistic lol
• He may (or may not) have a connection to what happened to Sora, Riku and King Mickey.
