Mode Changes become available once the Command Gauge has filled. They function a bit like Drive Forms from Kingdom Hearts II, allowing the player to take on a unique style of attack. Each style requires a different set of conditions in order to be used. Only some Commands will fill up the Gauge for certain Modes. Once the requirement is met, the characters will take on the abilities of the selected Mode, such as increased strength and new Deck Commands. Basic attacks become sights to behold. Some Mode Changes are specific to a certain character, while others are shared between two, or even all three protagonists. Some Mode Changes can transform into even more powerful Modes should the Command Gauge be filled again. Here's what we know about the forms revealed so far:

Thunder Bolt (Terra, Aqua, Ven): A style change that unleashes currents of lightening on enemies with every strike.

Fire Blazer (Terra, Aqua, Ven): A well-ranged style change that allows the user to attack with erupting streams of flame whilst using the Keyblade.

Fatal Mode (Terra): Being the power type, it makes sense that this would be a Terra-specific mode. High-powered shock-waves appear with every attack.

Rock Breaker (Terra): It is evolved from Fatal Mode by meeting specific requirements. Terra summons three boulders from the earth that damage enemies on contact.

Magic Wish (Aqua): An exclusive Mode that increases Aqua's magic abilities and changes the way she uses her Keyblade.

Diamond Dust (Aqua): An ice-based style change that envelopes Aqua in a snowy aura, allowing her to deal with multiple enemies.

Speed Rave (Ven): A style personal to Ven that puts emphasis on fast-striking, wide-ranged combos.

Cyclone (Ven): It is evolved from Speed Rave after meeting specific requirements. Ven can now harm surrounding enemies with multiple spin attacks.
