Two official Kiingdom Hearts concerts have been announced!
KINGDOM HEARTS Concert -First Breath- is a brass concert that will be performing exclusively in Japan! Tickets will cost ¥7,000 including tax. Hopeful attendees can apply for reservations via lottery from April 28~May 10. Winners will be notified on May 13, and tickets must be purchased within May 13~19.
KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour- is an orchestra concert that will be on a world tour! Presale tickets can be purchased from Wildfaery beginning on April 30, 2016. All tickets will go on sale starting May 14, 2016.
Here are the dates when the concerts will take place, as well as a special message from Series Director Tetsuya Nomura and Composer Yoko Shimomura!
Edit: Only 150 VIP tickets available at each World Tour concert for $189 and will include a meet and greet with Yoko Shimomura. Standard prices for each show varies by country.

Until now for Japan and overseas, a concert will be held for KINGDOM HEARTS music. This time we will be able to hold the world’s first official KINGDOM HEARTS concert. The first year will be made of a symphonic band called “First Breath”. Please come see this first memorable commemoration for the world. I think you’ll enjoy the first breath when the concert plays for KINGDOM HEARTS 2.8 and KINGDOM HEARTS III. Also, on the go and while you’re waiting, I’m very happy KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ has been popularly received.
Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the KINGDOM HEARTS seriesFinally an official concert for KINGDOM HEARTS will be held by a symphonic band! Personally for myself in high school, I played the flute and was conducting for a symphonic band. I thought the concert band there was extraordinary. (laughs) For how I started the concert band, in a junior high school festival, I heard a symphonic band playing African Symphony. (It is a classic!) Because of this one song, it had a significant effect in continuing the symphonic band over five years. I thought about being the person to start a symphonic band just so you could listen to a symphonic arrangement for KINGDOM HEARTS, and being the person that loves symphonic music more and more, I’m very happy. Thinking about the days we practiced everyday, I would like you to be immersed in a new world music in KINGDOM HEARTS. By all means, everyone please come listen. See you at the venue!

Messages for -World Tour-"The idea of a KINGDOM HEARTS concert has been in the works for several years, but even so, I was astonished to learn that our music would be performed by a full orchestra, in other countries no less. I’ve been given the opportunity to oversee the creation of the title, logo, and many other aspects of this amazing production, and as the director of the series, I am confident that what we’ve created will touch the hearts of our beloved fans everywhere.
The World Tour is slated for 2017, the same year as the KINGDOM HEARTS 15th anniversary. In the meantime, fans will get a chance to explore the world of KINGDOM HEARTS II.8, which is coming out later this year. I hope the excitement and joy they get from the experience will only increase their anticipation for the release of KINGDOM HEARTS III."

I heard this quite often, and it echoed my own feelings. I’ve wanted to have a concert for some time, and I’m happy to announce that it’s finally become a reality. When I began composing for the KINGDOM HEARTS series, I couldn’t even dream this day would come. But it has, thanks to our beloved fans. This concert and the music of KINGDOM HEARTS could not have existed without their undying support. I can’t thank them enough. The concert will encompass my feelings toward the series and those dear to me around the world. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

New cutscenes featuring the main cast at the concert. The music is a power to defeat the darkness. Everybody who attends the concerts gets a special DLC code to unlock a music-themed item in KH3.

If I remember correctly, to make a SE e-Store account, you need a Japanese address at the very least. If you have your hotel booked already, you can use that as your address.

Closest one for me is UK. I'm probably going to try and get tickets if I can before it sells out. Kind of really annoying that you have to buy the tickets a year in advance, anything could happen and I'm worried I'll have some super important school thing on that day but… man, I think I'll give it a go anyway. Sadly it isn't something we will be able to hear unless they release a brass album after First Breath ends.
(And by that time we will be playing 2.8 so that surprise will be gone)

Anyway, this is absolutely amazing. The KH series' music more than deserves to be showcased like this, and I'm so glad that it's now going to be a reality.
I also dreamed about this day, but I never thought it would happen, either.
But this is such an impressive milestone for Shimomura-san, Nomura-san, and everyone who's worked so hard to make these games something wonderful over the years. I'm so happy for SE right now, and couldn't congratulate them enough. To have such a long series, that you can pull such great music from for something like this, is really an accomplishment.
And Yoko Shimomura and Tetsuya Nomura's messages were so cute. Imo, you guys completely deserve every "beloved fan" that you have:)

Nevermind, I looked at the high premier price of $128 and assumed that'd be the standard price.
Tickets are about what I expected. I'm definitely willing to pay some of those prices, but I'll have to wait and see if it comes to someplace closer. Hopefully I can find a job soon that will mesh well with my college work next year so that I can potentially afford these sorts of things. At least the price isn't outrageous for the quality that I'm sure the orchestra will provide.

It could be little more than just smart thinking -- of course you would plan your concert the same week a huge influx of people interested in the same area (gaming) would be in town, it'd help guarantee ticket sales.

They are different seating. Cat 1 is the best after Gold and Cat 2/3 are your basic to bad seats.

We may or may not be getting a chance to meet Yoko Shimomura, though. Some of the VIP events for the concerts are different. Here's hoping!

Yoko Shimomura likes coming to California to shop. I feel pretty certain she'll be at the LA shows.
Fingers crossed! I'd be ecstatic if she attends. Icing on the cake would be if she conducted a song. I was at Star Wars in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl back in 2011, and after the last song, John Williams came out and conducted an encore of The Imperial March. One of my biggest geek-outs.
I am so happy an event like this is finally taking place! I've been several times to see Distant Worlds and Kingdom Hearts definitely deserves the same treatment!
I'm holding off on buying the NY tickets, because I'd like to see the show in LA.

I haven't posted for a long time but I figure now's a good time as any! I noticed the price range for the LA tickets is $59-134, but the description still mentions the VIP tickets (and Yoko Shimomura meet and greet) which have all been much over $134 for the other venues. I wonder if it's a case of copy-paste event info or something else. Though I don't buy tickets to things often, so I don't know how VIPs usually work.
Honestly we don't know either. We are waiting to see what happens when tickets go up. It wouldn't make sense for there not to be VIP at this show when every other show has it, though.

VIP is just out of the question for me right now *sigh* the surcharge pushes it out of my range for no, so unlucky that this was announced when times were tight. I will still go, but I'll have to hope that the continued support will convince them to come back to LA at a different time when I can afford to toss $214.

Managed to sneak away at work this morning to purchase seats for the Wednesday evening concert for myself and my boyfriend. It was spur of the moment and I just swallowed all my senses and went VIP so this is me for the next few months:

I'm about four rows back in Orchestra L, basically center but for the aisle divide. Honestly I was so afraid of losing the tickets I didn't even bother to check I was just like, yeah sounds good if I just ignore the total!

Looks like the Dolby website says there is no recording/cameras of any kind allowed at the event. Unless the other events allow recording, hopefully they release some sort of collection for those who are unable to attend. :(

I imagine (read: really hope) they will release a recording or album for the show. SE has allowed it for their other tour concerts in the past.

Yeah, I'm going to the NY show and I bought through WildFaery. I checked and I got the email as well, so the tickets should arrive between mid to late June.
I might be able to go to the LA one on June 14th

It seems that TicketFly is the only site that has them now. The other one is completely sold out.
And now there's only one ticket left in the second to last section and just a few left in the balcony.
If you still want to attend this event, you guys probably shouldn't wait another moment to make your decision. These tickets are selling like hot cakes. LOL.

Well, Square Enix hasn't actually promoted the concert outside of an email to subscribed fans and they are a year out so it'll probably gain more traction once SE decides to get their crap together and promote it on the English language Kingdom Hearts social media accounts.
It's improbable, but I hope they play Atlantica's combat music in the brass concert. Hands down one of the best and brassiest battle tunes from any of the games. I tried to learn it on my trumpet and almost died (like jesus, who did die)
I agree, Launchpad. I really like that track myself. [strike]I really like KH1 Atlantica in general.[/strike]
But personally, I'm hoping that we'll get a mix of all kinds of things. This is the fifteenth anniversary, after all, so there's no better time for such obscure tracks to be paid homage, imo.
Best case scenario, we'll get a nice selection of tracks from all the games (and maybe even more from the games that aren't Days, Coded, CoM, and/or KH2; not hating on these games, or the music in them, but I think Shimomura-san was maybe limited by the system capabilities in those--especially in the original CoM--so I think games like KH1, BbS, and DDD have much better soundtracks).
Hopefully they'll play the most popular tracks, of course, but also some of the less known ones. *cough* March Caprice *cough*
But even if that doesn't end up happening, I know that it'll still be a stunning event all around. Yep!
But anyway, now I'm curious: have we gotten any word on how long the concert's supposed to last at all?^^
(I'm totally listening to all of my favorite KH songs right now, with no shame, to get hyped for this monumental occasion, btw. LOL. Hollow Bastion's main theme will always be a favorite of mine, and that's the one I'm listening to currently.)

The random choices of Terra and Naminé's actors being at all the events has me suspicious. Especially since Nomura said something is in the works.
Maybe he's going to try and make these concerts canon, after all. o_0 (Please don't, Nomura-san.)
It's probably nothing to overthink at all. Who knows? Maybe the two of them are just the only ones who can always make it. And/or maybe both of them can sing, or something, and might accompany Shimomura-san by performing lyrics to some of the songs (probably not).

i think aibo will tweet about on what they heard i mean aibo tends to tweet baout this kind of stuff
I'm hoping aibo does, she typically tweets the info at the least, if they decide to keep any potential footage private for attendees only. She did something similar with D23 Expo Japan 2015.
i dont they show new footage i think maybe that for december but i could see aibo tweeting the songs they played there and i hope the new songs will be awesome
