Famitsu is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary, with some section planning special events and features - ones relating to Square-Enix being of particular interest. As of March 2012, the Kingdom Hearts series will officially be 10 years old, and it seems just a tad more than coincidental that Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase has stated that the company is interested in PSP-to-PS3 game remasters. While nothing yet has been announced for the Kingdom Hearts series in terms of PSP remastering, we can assume that it would be Birth by Sleep up for the rebuffing. Hey all! Remember a few weeks ago when we discovered the existence of the Kingdom Hearts Re:coded novel, as well as the month of its release? Well, now we have an exact date to share with you. According to Amazon, the novel will be placed on sale on July 28, 2011 at ¥800, roughly $9.95 USD.

At the Sony Press Conference a few days ago, Sony's new handheld (known until then as the NGP, Next Generation Portable), the PS Vita, was formally introduced to the world, with hardware specifications and a price tag. First up, Square Enix is re-releasing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days under it's Japanese budget series named "Ultimate Hits". It will be available on August 4th, 2011 for ¥2940 ($36.71 USD).
