I'm just curious as to what you guys would consider a terrible anime. I've seen quite a few anime's myself but the worst one I think I've watched was called Colorful. It's a terrible waist of time. Don't watch it.

If so, either you've seen very little anime or have very bad taste. It's not the greatest from what I remember but it is by no means the worst thing ever, it had it's nice moments.
I'll need awhile to think about the worst thing I've ever seen, I tend to have quite a good eye when it comes to finding things that I would enjoy. Chances are the things I pick I enjoy. I think the worst series I might have seen, whilst not terrible but by all means my lowest was Samurai 7. Watching that in dub. Eurgh. I watched all of it for completions sake but that was not an enjoyable experience considering what it was meant to be a retelling of.
Nyan might have a few select choices from the current season I imagine.

LOL well thanks for the insults but I disagree with you completely and yea that's it. Is it the worst thing ever for everyone? probably not, but for me it was, does that mean I have bad taste? nope not at all, it means you're terrible at reading people lol. oh, and i've seen quite a few anime's considering that i've gone to japan and back so I wouldn't be so quick to judge sir :3

I don't think going to the place makes you an expert or you've seen a lot of it. I've been to France doesn't mean I have a knack for fine dining or building really tall towers.

Gunslinger Girl was kinda crap. Other than that probably Air.
Well I have dropped several series here and there, but not too many of them I'd call by the worst.

Boy was there a lot of hate from the reviews and other message boards I've read. Then there was Senki Zesshou Symphogear which left very good impressions imo on the first episode, but I felt pretty dissapointed after the second, so I never got back to it again.

Prince of Tennis. Shit was so fucking terrible. Who wants to read a comic about tennis? Ugh.

You get that kind of shit every season. There just happened to be more of it this time around. Had to mock some of them just to retain my sanity.
But I've seen worse shows than anything that aired this season. I'll need to think on it before I pick the worst anime of the bunch.
Manga, on the other hand. Oh, that one's pretty easy. I have yet to read a manga that made me as goddamn livid as this one did. And I'm willing to bet that some of you could even fathom a guess as to which one I'm talking about.

At first, I thought Red Garden was crap. It was a bunch of girls crying every episode. But then things really picked up in episode 16 and the rest was pretty entertaining. So I changed my mind. I liked it.
I never read the Shigurui manga but I watched the anime and while I don't know if it was the worst I've seen, I think it was definitely pretty bad. The pacing was terrible. I would spend an entire episode wondering if something interesting would happen.
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was so boring I literally fell asleep while watching it. It was definitely the worst I've seen.

I generally drop a title I don't like rather quickly, or try to forget about it. I Can't think of a single manga I've read that I'd describe as terrible. I have a pretty good eye when it comes to stuff like that. Pokemon is probably the worst anime I've seen, but it's not torture or anything.
You guys have some interesting picks, I must admit.
My last post was mainly anime. I am a lot more selective when it comes to manga so I can't say I've read one that I would call bad.
I personally hated Evangelion, I thought it had potential near the beginning, but then when it went all psychological I felt like it was just garbage after that, one I finished watching the end of the end of Evangelion I wanted to throw up and crawl into a hole to die

Not the entire manga, just the second half of it.
The first half was pure gold, and that's the part that was adapted into an anime (god bless their fucking souls).
But the second half... just ruined every single thing that was good about the first. It didn't even feel like the same manga. It felt like a shitty doujinshi from some dumbass shipper who had to strip away everything from it to make the pairing happen.
So, so terrible.
