Sup guys, welcome to the new Official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread, complete with an archive of everyone's friend codes in the first post for convenience. Big thanks to Jay Chou for doing that.

Re: Brawl Codes

lol, i like how tmm just changd it like that, the old thread was getting big,

charmed, i remember that show, my mom and tia used to watch it, while it is targeted towards girls, that doesn't mean a guy can't watch it

wiimote and nunchuck, i actually prefer that control scheme then the gamecube controller

i like metaknight, i'm trying to get better with him now

Re: Official Super Smash Bros Brawl Discussion

Well, that sucks that the whole clan thing didn't work, but it was kinda poorly planned.

Anyway, I'll repeat my previous question: Does anyone who plays with the Wiimote + Nunchuk use the Shake Smash?

I have yet to try the game any other way other than the gamecube controller.

Nah, Snake has Bowser beat in sexy. . .ness. . .

Him and Wolf. . .

I can ONLY play with the Wiimote and Nunchuk. I guess I could go with the GC controller if I have to, but I'd prefer the other.

Re: Official Super Smash Bros Brawl Discussion

Daw, no more clans! But I enjoyed it. Oh well, hopefully we can have a tourney with more dedication and planning in the future >_>

The tournement was canceled because no one from Team smash wanted to join, right? I guess without the Clans, we won't have that problem.

I just sent PM's to Lycy and Wolfedawg about the clans. I'm officially crushed.

I joined lol

Besides, if they had planned it better, there probably would have been better participation.

There's a shake smash for Wiimote and Nunchuk? .-. I had no idea.

Ah well I'm keeping Team Brawl in my sig. >> Although I could use a new siggy that says Team Barrelroll on it for Gamebattles.

Re: Official Super Smash Bros Brawl Discussion

So, the game is finally release and we're all having a good time with it, so let's celebrate a great game with a fresh start and a fresh thread that isn't so cluttered.

Well, it hasn't released in Europe or Australia yet.
Secondly, what's with wanting to create new threads every so often? Isn't that MORE clutter than having one thread? Besides, long threads with bazillions of pages are epic.

ugghhh, seriously, people really need to start opening up to the different gameplay styles. I admit, I do find the gamecube controller the easiest to use, but remote+nunchuck isn't really that hard to use. people just don't realize it because most of them refuse to use anything besides the gamecube controller.

anyway, I don't usually use shake smash with the remote anyway. I tried it, but I realized that whenever I tried to do a regular forward smash, I had this habit of pushing my hand upward slightly, thus making it almost impossible to do a forward smash instead of an up smash. also, I did have to change some settings on the remote+nunchuck combo to suit my needs. for example, my taunts are all set to the d-pad, and my c-button is set to grabbing instead of jumping. I prefer using the analog stick to jump.

You're telling that to someone who uses the Wiimote and Nunchuk often >_> I just never knew that or attempted it.

Yeah, Sakurai first mentioned it in one of the Dojo updates regarding the controls. If you go into the control configuration, you can turn on the Shake Smash option and it works essentially in the same way as the C-stick.

Also, like I said in one of the now closed threads, you are a beast with Ganondorf. At least i somehow managed to kill you once each of our three rounds.

That's the same story with me. Given, I haven't used that control scheme often, I still tried the shake smash in the control practice and realized that I'd mess up and use the wrong smash.

Ya, sure, ok. :) lol

Just surprised that you use the remote and nunchuck so often, and yet never once decided to go through and customize the control scheme, consider that if you don't, then a+b is the only way you can grab, which is pretty inefficient. Some people don't grab very often, but according to KH Vandread, you tend to use Ganondorf. I find it hard to believe that somebody can be good with Ganondorf without grabbing at all.

Not saying Ganondorf's bad or anything, just pointing out that grabbing is a big part of his fighting style.
