Sora Vs. Roxas

Hi all. new to these forums, did a search didn't find anything.

Which do you guys prefer as a main character? I'm on the Roxas side simply because he has more anger in him and I think he acts more like a human being. I understand Sora having to be the 'White Knight' and all but he just seems too happy all the time for me. After playing and completing Days it just adds to my opinion that Roxas is a better main character. I think Days definitely had the best plot out of all the games. And please, this is strictly story-wise, not just because one is cooler or not. Like I said, I just like my main characters to have more.....emotion.

I do agree that Roxas seems a bit stoned all the time. IDK, I guess Sora is just too cheery for the dark story that Days has. And I posted it in this section because some of the story elements of Days added to Roxas' character. So, my bad I guess

Sora can get angry and vindictive and bad ass too. If KH2 didn't clue you in about it go replay CoM/Re:CoM. It's just that the rest of the time he's actually smiling.

As for which we prefer it doesn't really matter. KH is Sora's story, and Roxas's role in it seems to be either over, or Ven related so it's not really up to Roxas himself anymore.

I like Sora whenever he's not being a moron, such as during a fair portion of KH2. He was a pretty nice main in the other games. Roxas is nice and all (thanks to Days/FM+, since I used to hate him otherwise), but I'd probably prefer Sora as a main.

Sora is obviously the better main character.

I like them both. Roxas a bit more but... I wouldn't change the way things are one bit. They each have their respective roles and Sora's just so happens to be that of the main character.

It IS Sora's story. I just prefer Roxas is all. Yes Sora can get angry I just feel like his character is forced to be super happy all Thr time.

I found Roxas to be a better character because you know his whole life, which is sadly only 1 year, however with Sora, you know from the islands when you make the raft, omit the few flashbacks.

This is what I mean. Despite the short attention Roxas has been given through the main games, he seems to be more of a developed character. I find Roxas' choices believable whereas Sora's are always the same.

Also, Sora is much more childish, whereas Roxas is much more mature. Oh, and why is it that in KH2, Riku seems so much older than Sora?

To me, Roxas is a much more developed character than Sora and his actions and words all seem like a distinct personality rather than the plain "I GOTTA SAVE KAIRI" and such. The diary that he keeps really gives you a look into his thoughts, maybe if Sora had one I'd find him slightly more fleshed out, but Roxas just has so much more detail to him.

And I think you're all judging Sora by KH2. You want a proper comparison? Take CoM-Sora and Days Roxas. That's farer, me thinks.

And, I agree with Smile. It seems everyone is comparing Roxas from Days to Sora in KH2, which doesn't really make any sense.

Actually, it was more Xion's and his. Axel plays an important part, but the only aspects of him shown in the game are mostly connected to Xion and Roxas, so it isn't his. I know this is all technical, just pointing that out. XD

Going by the previous posts, I think what they mean to say is Roxas's story is more personal, that is, they feel as if they went inside his head through the diaries. Sora's journey was to save the world, Roxas's is more on the quest for his identity, friendship and betrayal. Maybe they related to Roxas's better because it is more personal and close to our lives, even if it is fantasized through replicas and such. Not all of us can relate to Sora's eternal quest to help people without complaining, since there are so few of such people in real life.

And I can't choose between them. They both have their roles to play, and both are kickass in their own ways.
