The reason I mentioned "Gen 6.5" was because of the lingering Zygarde mysteries, and the possibility of "South Kalos" being a thing from that theory posted towards the beginning of the thread.
ie, Sun and Moon be sequels to X and Y in a bordering "region" that has different Pokemon from Kalos, and different Legendaries, but also has one of Zygarde's two cores and is connected back to X/Y Kalos.
Probably won't happen, but considering we have little information to work with it technically could still stand.
Also, can anyone pinpoint the architecture style of the building shown in the trailer? It still looks very European to me but I'm not sure if it's French (possibly confirming the above), or British/German etc.

At best we may get a GSC situation were we can travel to Kalos after clearing the league of the new region.

Mixing the three starter types with each other could be something kinda different. Like grass/fire, fire/water, and water/grass starters?
No fire/fighting starter. We skipped that for gen 6, let's keep that going for maybe another three generations before that comes back around.

Hmm... New type combinations. I liked the setup they had with second types for Chesnaught/Delphox/Greninja.
Maybe actually have a defensive Fire type? Like seriously Grass and Water have both had a mixture of tanks (Torterra and Swampert), walls (Meganium and Blastoise) and sweepers (Serperior and Greninja). Even physical and specially focused members like Chesnaught and Empoleon.
Fire types always seem to be sweepers. Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken, Infernape, and Delphox all focused on speed and offense. Delphox had decent Special Defense at least.
The only Fire type starter that is close to a tank is Emboar, and while he has impressive HP bulk, his Defense and Special Defense stats are lackluster in place of powerful Attack.
So yeah, how hard can it be to have a wall Fire type for once?

I want the starters to fit with the concept of the new region like the Kalos starters did for XY.
Since the focus will be on the moon and sun, maybe the three new mons could have night and day concepts

"It all comes together." What if the 2 versions connect past games into 2 new singular timeline? For example Sun version could connect to Red, Gold, Ruby, Pearl, Black, and Y and Moon version with the others.

1. Give them night theme such as star like design or patterns on their bodies. As for daytime, have that go to the fire type and possibly make iit tiger like you suggested or another big cat.
Another great idea would be to have each of the three evolve at different times in the day. One could evolve during the day, one at night, and the third during twilight period.

I just noticed that the red car looks like a Pokemon Center ambulance, and the yellow truck has a Blastoise riding on the back. I guess there's going to be a lot of emergencies in S&M.

Yeah no. It's been officially confirmed by the UK press release that this is, in fact, Generation 7.

Why 6.5? It could still be Gen 7 and connected in a way to Kalos.
