Such a shame about Rapunzel and HPO (especially Hayner) being recast. I hate recasts. I wonder why Moore didn't return for KH2, much less in KH3 where she has an even bigger character she's consistently played. Strange.

I don't know, Mandy Moore not returning to voice Rapunzel in KH3 does leave me perplexed and bewildered given that she has been the OFFICIAL voice for her in the majority of her appearances since the 2010 film (e.g. Disney Princess merchandising that have Rapunzel, Disney Infinity, the TV series, Ralph Breaks the Internet). :/

We don't know the real reason for Moore not returning either it was availability/scheduling, not being asked by Square to return (which is what happened with Hayden Panettiere) so who's to say. Still a little disappointed by this, I'm sure that whoever is voicing Rapunzel in KH3 will do a good job voicing her (cause tbh I was fooled thinking it was Moore from the trailers), but Mandy will always be Rapunzel 100%

- Olympus: Megara shows Hercules the completed new Statue with the Crowd cheering and Herc doing his pose. Also Phil starts waving to the crowd.

- Twilight Town (Okay not a Disney world, but you'll see what I mean): Everyone lines up at Grand Bistro with Scrooge feeling worried, he goes into the kitchen telling Little Chef (Remy) to move faster but is surprised that Remy has advanced ahead on schedule much to Scrooge's surprise.

- Toy Box: All the Toys are back in their world and still await for Andy's return. Eventually the Door Knob opens and go in their non-movable state with Woody and Buzz looking at each other. Also Hamm and Rex are reading the game guide to Verum Rex.

- The Caribbean: Will (after becoming the new captain of the Flying Dutchman) sails of in the sunset while Elizabeth watches from afar. In addition, Jack and Mr. Gibbs are shocked that Borbossa stole the Black Pearl leaving him with a small boat.

- San Fransokyo: The Big Hero 6 team plus the reformed Baymax help save civilians and do their pose to the cheering crowd.

- Monstropolis: Sulley and Mike returned a Sleeping Boo back into her Door. ^__^

- Arendelle: Anna and Kristoff (on an Ice Sled) race against Olaf in the North Mountain with Elsa creating an Ice Slide to safely land the Sled. In addition Marshmallow is present during this scene.

- Kingdom of Corona: Rapunzel (now with her short hair) and Eugene share a kiss with Maximus and Pascal watching in the background and the Floating Lanterns flying above.

- 100 Acre Wood: Everyone helps create Rabbit's new Garden.

So some things I notice regarding some of the Disney characters and the worlds:

- Despite appearing in Olympus, Phil doesn't actually talk in the game, which is unusual but I have a hunch it may have to do with Ichiro Nagai (the Japanese voice of Phil in the film) passing away in 2014 which is why Phil and his English actor aren't listed and also why Phil isn't in Thebes.

- Hans, the Duke of Wesselton, Oaken and the Trolls don't appear in Arendelle. Okay maybe not the former but since Hans name and his voice actor Santino Fontana weren't listed it seems he's going to make a non-speaking appearance.

- The Captain of the Guards and the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs are written out in Kingdom of Corona.

- Despite Toy Box ending showing Woody and the Gang back in their home world, Jessie, Bullseye and Slinky aren't shown.

- Eeyore, Kanga, and Owl don't appear in the 100 Acre Wood.

- Krei, Aunt Cass, Abigail Callaghan and Yama aren't in San Fransokyo.

- The Summon links (Ariel, Ralph, Simba, and Stitch) don't talk.

There was some thread about Kairi earlier in the year, and I still feel the same in that KH3 was not the place for her to suddenly receive character development anyway. It should've been somewhere in CoM/KH2/3D or not in this saga at all. I won't criticize people for their expectations--which oughta be a meme by now--just say I'm not surprised or disappointed.

Minority opinion: I'm not rooting for her to be developed in KH4 either tho... >> There isn't going to be a PoH or GoL quota to fill in KH4 + now that KH3 is done, the symmetry of the SoKai paopu moments in the endings is complete and hopefully there's no more of that. What else can they do with the character now anyway if none of those things need to be checked off anymore? There are many other characters--female and male--that I'd rather see more done with than one who's added nothing to this series thus far.

People who talk about the futility of Kairi seem to forget that she is a beginner keyblade weider. Hemnas is too strong, if Riku almost died from his hand in KH2, then what could Kairi take against him?
She held on as best she could. The fact that she is a party member is already a big progress for her.

nobody expected her to be top tier badass, but she goes from “yeah I can fight too” to fridged super quick.

Hi guys!Glad to be here^^ I'm Spanish so I will be likely to make some mistakes. I apologize for that.

I've been following the gameplay related leaks, but as soon as story spoilers started to come out I stopped reading spoilers. However, I'd like to know some things quite general. If someone could answer this questions without giving many details I would be very thankful.

1.Does the story of KHUx/Back Cover play an important role on KH3?I guess the answe is yes but, is it too much or just a tease of the future of the series?

2. From what you've seen and read so far, is the plot good and the ending satisfactory?Are the main mysteries resolved?

3. It's the final boss battle as impressive as it should be?

4. Do all the charactes receive an aproppiate development and closure?

5. Do we get to fight against all the Organization members, or at least, most of them?

6. Are there big surprises and twists or is it quite predictable?

7. I've seen complains about some humor and stupid situations that doesn't fit with the game. Is it that bad?Or just typical Kingdom Hearts stuff?

8. And last: Is there too much Sokai in the game?Because even one single scene of Sokai is too much for me. Sora and Riku deserve to be happy together.

There are a lot of questions, I understand that you cannot answer all of them, but every little information will be well received. And remember: no spoilers. Thanks a lot!

It’s been a consistent problem so everybody was going to be on board with it. It’s a problem that had to have been known by the developers. i just can’t believe they decided to double down on her damsel-ness to the point of pulling a shitty trope on her

Regarding Kairi I had very low expectations....Actually no expectations and still it stings. Like all you had to do was make her act like she wanted to do something outside of Sora. Give her more lines, a sub plot, anything.

And I still can't get over the Paopu scene. Why even show Riku, why MENTION him?! Its so awkward. I'm just glad RAX's characterizations were left alone, and honestly they got the best ending.

* No explanation how Roxas can still DW (Nomura interview probably, typical)
* No explanation as to how everyone suddenly remembers Xion (Nomura interview probably, typical)
* The screen time for the characters were abysmal, that I can't even be upset at Naminé being saved until the end cut scene. At least she didn't have a weapon. It was basically group A, they get reunited, happy tears and hug, now let's head to group B, same thing, now let's head to character C, who has closure with Riku, sad, sacrificial moment. Have them all gather to stand around together in the background, have one or two throwaway lines, Roxas and Ventus doing the Spiderman meme without the finger pointing, and that was it. Not too in depth. Rushed.
* You literally have a character with powers over everyone connected to Sora, and you couldn't do anything else better except shafting her until the very finish? You have, legit, a plot device, that can solve some characters' return in the most simplest manner without having to convolute anything, which Nomura more than likely will. Man, he's lucky he screwed everyone else over with screen time relevance cause oh boy, I would have gone to Japan to personally choke him. You have such a limited amount of females as is, and you leave one out? Nerf another, and...
* I can't even mention Kairi's name. Poor gal. I don't care for her and Xion whatsoever, but it's gotten to the point where her treatment as some manpain tool (something Xion also served as) is making me feel so bad for her. And she's not even a bad character, she just gets sidelined, told to take care of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, gets kidnapped, and offed. She managed to help Sora find the light, yet they did not keep up with the momentum. The biggest disappointment. She was rather hyped with being a fighter and failed to deliver.
* Naminé has created many connections in this series. We only get to see a few seconds of her interacting with Riku and Xion, but not Roxas (shipping aside, they did make a promise and all that jazz that amounted to nothing), or Sora, or Kairi, or Terra, or going into more detail with the scene when she wakes up and sees Ansem the Wise. Didn't get to witness her reaction once she found out what Riku Replica did for her. We don't get to see the reunion of Roxas with Hayner, Pence, and Olette when he returns to them, no scene of Isa apologizing to Roxas and Xion, no scene of Ansem apologizing to Roxas (goes back to Naminé), Roxas and Sora don't even actually talk to each other, Riku and Xion don't get to have a conversation. Roxas and Ventus was already mentioned, we don't get deep information on how all these characters return other than the BBS trio, we just get it summarized by exposition. Rushed.
* Sora never got to thank Naminé, making the implications of this in CoM, Coded, and DDD pointless (the Dive to the Heart also has you choose a Sora and Naminé scene). It falls into the same bracket as Roxas and Naminé.
* No explanation as to why Xemnas never used a Keyblade despite being able to due to being connected by way of two wielders...doubt Nomura will ever open that plot hole.
* Not touching Master Xehanort.

Story: 7/10.

If you cannot handle a large cast of characters, do not create them. It felt like they wanted to get all these resolutions over with rather than set the building blocks to get to those moments. Most character to character aspects that got implied in the games gets tossed or weren't bothered with. Fanfiction can do better. I don't know what the Epilogue will bring, but I doubt it can fix all of this unless it's long.

Oh, and great, tack another m/m/f trio. Gawd Nomura. No ounce of originality. Is this like your obsession with Gackt?

People have shipped things for way lesser reasons. Way lesser ones. Like breathing the same air. Literally everything in this game with the exception of Sora/Kairi and Sora/Riku (cough) was platonic. Riku being the one to pick up Naminé in the Gummi ship now that Sora is absent makes the most sense out of any other character. It's especially significant because it was Riku's replica that sacrificed himself to give her a vessel and heeded his last words. Riku holding out his hand for Naminé and her taking it seems really meaningful in this context.

I really had low to no expectations about the Kairi stuff. However, it is still uber disappointing to see that nothing changed.

I'm positive this will be the best game in the series, regardless of the issue mentioned above. Everything I've read so far made me feel sure about this.
