Kingdom Hearts 3D: Sora and Riku to See Clothing Changes

Well I am so glad that Nomura is going to give them new clothing at some point in the game, hopefull early on in the game or by the mid point of the game atleast. It would suck if they got them at the end.

I think we can take this as proof of God's existence, because our prayers just got answered.

Ughh! I hope not. I liked the story but I hated playing Riku because of the preset decks even in the remake. I hope Nomura lets us customize for Riku as well.

Eh, I never really cared whether or not Sora and Riku were in their KH1 or KH2 clothes, but I can see why people would be relieved by this news.

I find it cool just having them change clothes in the middle of the game instead of having to see the same outfits through the entire game. It would be a fresh change to have something new to look at. This may also provide and opportunity to change some things in the game play as well as their appearance.

I'm 99% sure that IS what he meant. Nomura didn't say anything about adding new clothes :/

This is great news just to hear that he's even just considering this.
This'll also probably help clear up part of the story.
If they had just used KH1 clothes from the beginning, they'd have to skip all the stuff they could show from when Sora and Riku leave DI, up until they change in the story.

Also, just had another idea.
What if when they do the switching between Sora and Riku, they also switch between KH2 Sora and Riku. Like, all 4 of them switching randomly during the game.

and I thought TVA had armour because they were in the past and the past required them to have armour or something @_@

but I'd rather Sora/Riku have armour too to make sure the gummiship is gone from the series forever xD

TAV had armor because it was just what all Keyblade Wielders used for world travel since most likely the time of the keyblade war. The armor is basicaly like the organization coat, the armor protects keyblade wielders from darkness inside the lanes between worlds. However by the time of KH1 and KH2, nearly everyone who travels the darkness is using organization coats for some reason. But the armor could return if Sora and Riku need it to travel between worlds.

TVA had armor for the same reason Org. XIII wore cloaks.
It protects the from the darkness when they travel through Lanes Between/Dark Corridors.

Not gonna happen.
Donald and Goofy will be Sora's teammates in KH3.
And they have zero chance of getting a Keyblade w/ Armor, cause that'd be stupid.
Plus, even if they have Armor, it doesn't guarantee that they have a Keyblade Glider.

Ehh I really have no big problem with clothes. I prefer the KH2 wear just because it's been in less games, if you know what I mean. (i prefer older Riku. He's pretty awesome)
Yeah~ I had a feeling it wasn't them in those clothes the whole time. Most likely just for the test, and the rest would be spoilerish so...yeah.

I think they should just stick with the kh2 clothing. Sora should never have to go out in public with giant yellow shoes again.
I for one hope they bring back the gummiship feature. not the kh1 version though. gawd no, we need to kill it >.< I really liked the kh2 version of the gummiships. I kept getting sidetracked from the story because i wanted an S-rank on all of them XD

I have a feeling that they will get new clothes.... I know that my idea (hidden in spoilers... just incase) may sound weird... but it makes some sense.

I have a feeling it is going to be their "Master" outfits. KH: DDD is said to include the Mark of Mastery Exam, and that the entire game is not just about their exam. This could mean we may most likely find out if they pass or not in the game (or something goes wrong and Yen Sid must be forced to pass them). In honor of passing, Yen Sid oculd give them new clothes that act similar to TAV's (in that they can press a button and they get their armor... but that could be iffy).

The only reason why I thought of this was Mickey. In KH: BBS, he was wearing his all black outfit during his Mark of Mastery Exam, and at the end he passes. As you have seen in KH: CoM and the Secret Ending in KH: BBS FM (mouth full... lol), he is wearing a new outfit. This could be the outfit Yen Sid gave him since he passed. However, this could just be that his CoM outfit is what he always wore and he just wore the black outfit for the exam.... who knows... lol.

That is my theory, and this is probably the first theory I have ever written on this forum... I have been around for a while, but never took the time to comment... No yelling at my theory please! lol

I would actually want Sora and Riku's new clothes to look similar to TAV's clothing... I'd also like to see Riku and Sora have their own armor, but i think they're going to stick with the organization cloaks. But still, it would be sick to see Riku and Sora in their armor/ TAV's style of clothing. Anyone agree?

I should hope to see some new clothes but I'm hesitant about saying that because if there are new clothes in this game I still want new ones in KH3. So i'd rather have KH2 clothes and KH1 clothes with no new clothes if it means having only new clothes in KH3

Nomura only contemplates to show Sora and Riku in their current clothes (meaning KH II-outfits) in the first quarter of the game or so to actually show the slow/dumb ones that 3D isn't a remake but a continuation of Re:Coded leading into KH 3.

It's apparently necessary for them to use the overused KH 1-outfits, yet there are chances now we'll also see their KH II ones.
There's no single word or hint that they will gain a complete new set of clothes...

I agree, I think if anything, we will see both KH1 and KH2 clothing and that's it. Maybe some upgraded KH2 clothing or armor if we're lucky. But KH3 is pretty much a continuation of KH2 (obviously), but I mean that they are the same age... not a year older this time. So they will wear the same clothing.
