Kairi's role [Possible spoilers if not finished BBS/coded]

What do you think Kairi's role will be during the time of Dream, Drop, Distance and Birth By Sleep Volume 2?

Obviously she sees Sora off in Blank Points to be called to his Mark of Mastery exam, but do you think she'll do nothing, or perhaps become a playable character?

I think she'll try and investigate things with her Keyblade, and open up a door to Castle Oblivion, and get stuck there, leading Sora & Riku back in 3D.

For BBS Volume 2, I think she'll have minimal involvement with the story.

i agree with kairi having a role in the future, but you said something that im tired of people saying because its SO WRONG. KAIRI DOES NOT HAVE A KEYBLADE! the keyblade given to her was rikus second.
and, spoiler however i dont know how to make one, she hasnt unlocked her own from the aqua accidental keyblade thing yet. when i say hasnt unlocked i mean, she has no idea she has one, so she probably wont use it.

Both BBS and Re:coded spoiler bans have been lifted, so there's no need.

He didn't come out of retirement when his long time friend was wreaking havoc across the worlds. I doubt he'd do so to teach Kairi.

Since Sora and Riku will be leaving Kairi behind again, I'm assuming her role in 3D will be similar to her role in CoM and Days. There are many thoughts and memories about her, but Kairi herself is never really in the game. In BbS V.2, I'm hoping Kairi will have a bigger role (and character development?) to play. Maybe not fighting, but something so she's not waiting around the entire game.

I don't agree with this, I believe she will have her own scenario in BBSv2. She needs her own scenario, imo, mostly to show that she isn't a weak little princess anymore that needs to be saved, and to show that she can in fact be a person who can actually save other people instead of being helpless.

Now, there might be something hinted for her to do something. In the secret ending of BBS, she is seen outside the Old mansion in her KHII form with HPO gang. Well, I know in the manga, they showed the Twilight Town gang showing Kairi around town.

Maybe she should just have a role where she meets Queen Minnie, and helps her make Disney Town a better place (like in My Life as a King, or something).

I think Sora will be The Mario, Riku will be a Fragile Speedster/Lightning Bruiser (kinda like in CoM), and Kairi will be...I can't think of a trope for this atm, but she might be a ranged fighter.

I'm going to agree with Maxyli138 and say that it'll be the same as in CoM and Days. Kairi's role so far hasn't been expanded much out side of numbered titles (and BbS which semi counts) so I'm not expecting much. It'd be a pleasant surprise if they actively tried to expand it but right now I don't expect much.

This is what I want for Kairi:

1) Discover that she has raw mage powers from her being a PoH. I am convinced that she has them. She discovers this because Yen Sid knows about it, and Donald and Goofy escort her to Mysterious Tower and she becomes Yen Sid's apprentice. Yen Sid may be an all powerful retired keyblade master, but his original role was an all powerful sorceror. I'll be genuinely unhappy if Kairi ends up permanently wielding the keyblade. I'd rather her wield a staff and be far better fighting with magic than fighting with a keyblade.

2) She gets new digs because of this. Scrap the stupid way-too-short barbie doll pink outfit. Go back to her lavender scheme and perhaps borrow from some various designs worn by female mages/sorceresses in the past to combine and create something original.

3) She ends up going on a journey to unlock the memories locked deep within her heart that was stored away as a child. What are those memories? That she is technically the Princess of Heart for Radiant Garden. And it would be really sweet if someone like Aerith actually has memories of Kairi before Radiant Garden fell. Remember, Kairi's memories of Radiant Garden were essentially wiped when Aqua's magic sent her to the safety of Destiny Islands.

4) Going along the "duties of a princess," perhaps another major attack happens on Radiant Garden. Kairi, at the end of her magical journey, stays at Radiant Garden and helps the Restoration Committee fight darkness/heartless/Xehanort/Xehanort's lackeys etc. She fights to defend her original home. While this happens, Riku and Sora go on their epic battle to destroy Xehanort and get Terra back in the proccess.

I think in BBSV2 we might see how she ended up on Destiny Islands and I think she might play a huge part in the game. As for, 3D I think she might play a very minor role.

Hmm, I don't really know what she's exactly going to do, but I have a feeling she's going to be more active in DDD or BBSV2. Considering the scene where she's outside outside the old mansion with HPO, I think she's going to investigate on something important, possibly the data inside Sora DiZ mentioned (and this also kinda excuses her from not going to the MoM with Sora and Riku...I think). Now how she knows about the data, I have no idea, but I still believe she's going to something about it.
And Kairi being the whole keyblade master/mage... i'm kind of doubtful about that. I don't think fighting suits her, but I could be wrong . But if she harnessed her PoH powers kinda like Queen Minnie... I think that would be more plausible and interesting.

But then again, what do I know?

we just need to confimr a couple of things
one can she sumon the keyblade, cuz she didnt seem to awed by it in kh2
somtimes im also not sure if kairi know or understands she is a princess of heart so there that too, and finally she needs to go back and really look at radiant garden

Kairi needs some plot development and have a use to the story, not just be a damsel.

I could see her using her light as a weapon, similar to Minnie did in KH2. This would allow her to be somewhat useful without doing too much

who will be the kairi of kh 3d she in each gam and if she cant appere she takes the form of one of her many clones, namine in coded , chain of memories, or xion in days, and she paeere as herself in all the others, so will she be active, kidnapped, or take a journey of her own?

After all, other than that one part in kh2 she's basically the damsel. Unless Nomura justifies her sudden ability to fight in a believable fashion (which I kind of doubt D: ) I'm just gonna have to reject the concept of Kairi being a full fledged party member.

Of course, this is just an opinion.

i dont know if shell be good but i have a strong feeling of combat in kairi's future, and after seeing the makeover they did to serah i know its actally very likly, esp since square is embracing female heroines

Well, in Serah's case she had to learn how to fight since they're in Gran Pulse now. As for Kairi... Unless Nomura pulls something off to justify Kairi's full involvement in battle, I kinda doubt it. Small roles, I can perceive (i.e. KH2) but having her as part of your party would require a good reason for my mind to digest. Right now I can't see any good reasons for her to join other than having a keyblade war or what ever happening, which would just make Nomura look cheaper than he already is. Not like that's stopping him from doing that though.
