okay I just finished the anime yesterday and watched the end of Evangelion.
I really liked the first half of the anime, but I really hate everything after. not that I was expecting a happy ending but I wasn't expecting to hate Shinji by the end of it... I just do. I dono, I hate what they did with his character
ive got only one question though
at the very end why was he strangling Asuka? because she wouldn't help him???
Lol, Shinji. Man I watched that movie for the first time when I was 14 with my 10 year old friend and like spazzed when that part came on because of her age... Wanking off to comatose Asuka wtf boii.I made some NGE demotivators. xD
They aren't meant to be offensive in any way. :3
Spoiler Show
Rei is a veg, by the way.
Did you guys see the one where Asuka fights alone against those white things and Shinji doesn't help her? I mean that was just... horrible to watch.. and wrong..
Was that part of a movie in Neon Genesis Evangelion? Also why did they end the anime the way they did in episode 25 and 26 episode?
I know part of it was money but still did they ever fix it so it could make sense? or at least a better ending?
for it made no sense when I watch it... other wise the rest of it was fine...
Spoiler ShowThey were manufactured in secrecy under Seele's mandate at seven different facilities around the world, including ones in Germany and China.
Nine MP Evangelions were created out of an originally planned twelve Evangelions (through Eva-16). However, Seele had to advance the construction schedule for them, as they wanted to initiate Third Impact as soon as the final Angel was destroyed, and, as a result, three units were never completed. The nine are deployed as part of Seele's assault on the Nerv HQ Geofront, but their primary function is to carry out Seele's version of Third Impact, which ends up utilizing Evangelion Unit-01.
Within the series itself, these Evas are referred to almost exclusively as the "Eva Series" (エヴァシリーズ). This is slightly confusing, since the "Eva Series" technically encompasses every Evangelion ever made.
Alright then thanks for explaining what the white things were, and where they came from including what movie.
I didn't really get why after wards in the movie Death and Rebirth with those White Evas were created to attack Nerv for? If they came from other places what were there true goals then? Just to get rid of Nerv? When Nerv took out all the angels thus leaving no impact...? So why attack them?
And that one boy who was recruit for the suit that went crazy why was he put in the suit to begin with?
So was Shinji father the bad guy then? I mean he had something to do with the angels and everything right?
AHHH I don't get it any more... oh well, It's been awhile since I've watch the series, so sorry if some of the questions sound silly
Spoiler ShowTo begin with, they didn't really plan to attack Nerv's Geofront. Seele was actually trying to hack the Magi, a trio of supercomputers designed by Dr. Naoko Akagi (Ritsuko's mother) during her research into bio-computers while at Gehirn.
The Magi's 7th generation organic computers were implanted with three differing aspects of Dr. Naoko Akagi's personality using the Personality Transplant OS (Operating System). The same system is used to operate the Evangelions.
Spoiler ShowAchieved by an Angel reuniting with Adam, being held in Tokyo-3.
Unlike the various versions which different humans are trying to achieve, the Angel-version of "Third Impact" does not involve Instrumentality: trying to forcibly re-unite Adam and Lilith for humanity to achieve a new evolutionary level of existence. The Angels want to reunite with Adam, perhaps as a coherent motive or maybe as simply an instinctive drive.
Like what happened during Second Impact where all life was erased in Antarctica (aside from Misato), presumably, an Angel reuniting with Adam will result in Adam generating a world-wide Anti-A.T. Field, eliminating all Lilith-based life on the planet, from bacteria to humans. The result of Second Impact was what Fuyutsuki describes in Episode 12 as: "The South Pole, a world of death which permits no life to exist."
Kaworu, in Episode 24, also mentions that "Because it's my destiny to continue to live even if it may result in the destruction of humanity", implying that his goal to reunite with Adam would cause the end of humanity.
Spoiler ShowSeele wanted to initiate Third Impact to bring about Instrumentality.
They would use an Anti-A.T. Field to neutralize the A.T. Fields that separate human beings from each other, causing all of humanity to revert into a giant ocean of LCL, freeing their souls.
All the souls of Earth would then be collected inside the Adam/Lilith hybrid being and her Egg, the Black Moon. This could be achieved through several alternate scenarios involving the mass-produced Evas, the Spear of Longinus, Lilith or Eva-01 as Lilith's substitute.
Spoiler ShowGendo wanted to reunite with his wife Yui Ikari, whose soul was trapped inside of Eva-01.
It is not entirely clear what the full scope of Gendo's version of events would entail for the rest of the human race (in all probability, all he cared about was Yui). However, judging from Gendo's remark during his conversation with Seele at the beginning of The End of Evangelion that "destruction creates nothing", it is possible that Gendo's version of Third Impact would not have been as destructive for the human race as a whole as Seele's version.
As Gendo's full plan was ultimately not realized, it can not be determined with certainty exactly what would have happened. However, it is clear that Gendo's version of Third Impact involved the use of Rei Ayanami (a clone of Yui Ikari serving as a vessel for the soul of Lilith), Lilith, and Adam (which he had fused to his hand).
It is assumed that this fusion would allow him to reunite with Yui again inside Eva-01.
Spoiler ShowAt the beginning of Episode 26' (the second half of The End of Evangelion), the mass-produced Evas capture Shinji along with Eva-01.
Along with the Spear of Longinus, a ritual is performed that creates an inverted Tree of Life in the sky, and turns Eva-01 into the Tree of Life.
The mass-produced Evas unleash their A.T. Fields, causing a giant explosion around the Geofront. In its wake, Lilith's Black Moon is revealed.
Meanwhile, in Terminal Dogma (the deepest level of Nerv's HQ), Gendo attempts to fuse the Adam embryo in his right hand with Rei. Rei rejects Gendo, taking his hand along with Adam's embryo, and merges with Lilith, thus achieving the "forbidden union of Adam and Lilith".
After assimilating Adam, Lilith begins to merge with Eva-01. During this process, Shinji's states, "Nobody cares whether I exist or not... Nothing will change. So, everybody just die." This wish seems to manifest itself into reality, as Adam/Lilith proceeds to create an Anti A.T. Field which spreads across the globe, reverting all Lilith-based lifeforms into LCL.
The liberated souls of humanity are gathered by Lilith and funneled into the Black Moon (her "Egg"). When this process is completed, Instrumentality begins.
This is clearly not what Gendo had intended, but the Seele council seemed fairly content with the outcome (even if it had not happened quite as they had planned).
However, Shinji ultimately rejects Instrumentality, and the Black Moon is destroyed, dissipating the souls back across the Earth and into the oceans. Lilith's body falls apart and descends to Earth, and she apparently dies.
All disembodied individuals are left with the option of recreating their bodies and returning to a life in the physical world, regardless of the pain it would inevitably entail.
Shinji, and later Asuka, return to the vicinity of Hakone, but the fate of everyone else is left open.
I think it's quite apparent at this time, if you've watched Evangelion 2.0/2.22 that this series is heading for an alternate ending of fangasmous proportions. I believe even some of the team and the series creator stated he planned to give Rebuild of Evangelion a completely new ending, one no one would see coming... and he included in the process a brunette as mysterious as sephiroth was... for the fanwankers.^
the part where Asuka fights is in the movie, yes.
and the last episodes were like that because the director had no time.
the movie is an alternate ending, and I believe another alternate ending is in the making now....
