Kairi's beloved grandmother was clearly a lover of stories and fairy tales, seemingly having a bounty of them to tell to her pure-hearted granddaughter. Amongst them is her absolute favorite: the story of the light and the creation of the world they live in today. Like in a dream, Sora somehow manages to see a vision, or perhaps, one of Kairi's memories of listening to her grandmother's story in the library within the Hollow Bastion castle.

Kairi's loving grandmother who never gets tired of telling the little girl's favorite story about the light even if she has heard it a hundred times.

She finds Kairi with Aqua not knowing that her granddaughter had just been rescued from a group of Unversed. The little girl asks her to tell her the story about the light and darkness again while they go on their way. Aqua listens to the story before she continues on her journey.
