The Kingdom Hearts Premium Theatre at D23 Japan last month left many fans upset when the footage and trailers shown at the event were unfortunately not uploaded online. However, thanks to I Love DCS JP, we can see some offscreen Kingdom Hearts 3 footage from Mysterious Tower including the new Attraction Flow based on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster!

I see where this is going. I be the theme park rides are summoned from the Dream Realm. You can see a portal opening up. Probably something Sora learned post DDD.

Even just those few couple of seconds, wow this game is looking so flashy and smooth and awesome. Fingers crossed the full trailer finally gets shown at Jump Festa.
I've always loved the particle effects, but there's really something about the shading that's turning me off. I sincerely hope it's unfinished. If not, then I'm afraid I'm not gonna be a fan of the Kingdom Shader.

Holy heck that looks smooth. All the little things, like Sora`s hair moving when he enters the ride... dam it looks good.
Lookin' good so far. Nothing that I can really complain about.
Though let's hope that this ttraction Flow has better targeting mechanics than the actual ride it's based off of. =w=
This is the first attraction flow where it appears you can actually DO something while riding. Much better than 'automated boat of splash damage'.

I have my concerns about KH3 but the visuals are definitely not one of them. Everything so far looks so amazing! Can't wait can't wait, I've been trying to keep the hype down but it's getting harder.
i know jump festa is this saturday but i'm going to keep my expections low and maybe get a surprise from square in a kh3 snippet alont with 2.8 trailer

Neat. Yellow Opera was always a little piece of shit imo. You can dodge the fireballs and blizzards, but lightning comes from above, you pieces of shit, you can't dodge it! you can't.

Those little things always made your life harder in KH1.
Anyway, glad to see those heartless returning, was kinda dissappointed that we only got that extremely annoying Crimson Jazz in KH2.
And lets all hope that the Attraction Flow wont turn out like the mess that was done in BBS.

You and me both, but I doubt it. Square has been gracious with the KH news this year, but I don't think Square will be cool enough to have two entirely new trailers for both 2.8 and 3 at the event. If anything, that's where they'll show the D23 trailers to the public. Only other thing I can think is, assuming both get shown and not just 2.8, that maybe they show expanded/extended versions of the D23 trailers. But completely brand new trailers, I highly doubt it.

The portal doesn't look like a Reality Shift or the bubble-like portal-thing that Joshua and Riku used in the Dream Realm, though. My dumb headcanon is that those rides are getting summoned from a Disneyland world. Oh, or maybe they're constructs made of light, imagination, and a need to blow things to pieces!
I thought the square was like a representation of when your car for a ride comes out ride zone to let you hop on.
1) Sophia the First is horrifying.
2) KH3 is looking beautiful! Wow, the gameplay is going to be ridiculously fun. I have a feeling that grinding might actually not be a chore for once.

They do move, though. Once Sora puts the glasses on, they are running around...
That's a good thing though, nothing would make this mechanic more useless than being able to be knocked out of those overly long summoning animations. That's an issue that the command system has you had lots of cool flashy attacks but being donked in the face during their start-up animation would make it so you never use them. What's important is the heartless move around while the actual attack is happening and they do.

It's always been that way when it came to summons though, no?
Just as Hiro said, it wouldn't make too much sense mechanically during a flashy entrance to have some enemy attacking you. Plus the entrances never cause damage so they aren't 'broken' in that sense either.

I definitely do think what it is, is an evolved form of reality shift. I've thought that ever since I saw Sora use one against Rock Titan. The way it seems was hitting his foot made it crack and when his foot cracked Sora was able to activate it. This seemed very similar to how say when Monstro was frozen or the mirage machines in TWTNW, once you hit them enough they cracked and you were able to do a reality shift on them.
Reality shifts were limited in that they had only a chance to activate or could only activate during specific situations. So I think attraction flow is going to be something like that just with more variety. Not sure if it's world specific though the only time we saw a the same attraction flows being used in two different worlds was the ship, but that was also a really early trailer. It could very well be it can only be used in Tangled it's just at the time they didn't have Tangled read or didn't want to show it off. Otherwise every world has shown a different attraction flow. The Blaster for Mysterious Tower, Cups for Twilight Town, Train for Olympus, and Ship for Tangled.

Perhaps not all, but I definitely expect some. There are a lot of unique Heartless in Chi that could fit in various worlds. Since they already have the designs down, they might as well try to take advantage of them.

My thoughts exactly, the Ice based heartless are perfect for a Frozen world and the Candy heartless would be perfect for a Sugar Rush/Wreck-It Ralph world.
I'm betting we'll get the trailer after Jump Festa arrives...

It seems like there's a point system for the attraction flow, but I don't really understand how it works. All of the enemies on the screen are soldiers yet the score went from 10 to 20 and then to 30. The only thing that makes sense is a chain system. I'm also curious to what those points could be used for (if anything)

If you knock the Heartless into the air, then you get more points. When Heartless are knocked to the highest level, you get "CHANCE" and the number appears in purple (60).
Not sure what the requirements for the yellow numbers are, since it only appeared once.
My first thought when I saw the numbers was "omg tech points are back." Looking at the footage again, however, confirms this is not the case. Totally stuck in the retro zone. Sad face
