You may recall there was a special promotion campaign for the Japanese release of KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5 ReMIX- at 7 Eleven where players could pick up a custom PS3 theme. Due to the nature of the stores, there were some doubt as to whether we'd receive a similar bonus overseas. We won't be completely left out in that regard, as we'll be receiving a dynamic PS3 theme of our own via preorder!
That's right! Asides from the previously announced bonus of the concept artbook, those who preorder HD 1.5 ReMIX will have access to a dynamic PS3 theme featuring familiar Disney worlds and characters from the game, particularly Wonderland, Agrabah, 100 Acre Wood and Olympus Coliseum! If you haven't already, don't miss out on this fantastic bonus!
If you have already placed your order prior to this announcement, you will be automatically upgraded to receive the theme.

Awesome! I had this pre-ordered before there was ever any bonus attached. First an artbook and now an awesome theme. Totally worth a mere $40.

My current theme is Lightning from XIII-2. I've been severely disappointed that Journey and Ni No Kuni did not give me any new themes. This will do.

Yes, that's right. And if you already preordered, you'll automatically be upgraded to receive the theme.
Not much of a fan of SE PS3 themes, but it's good we're getting the same treatment as Japanese fans.

I've been using the Days HD theme for a few months now so I'm pretty happy to have something new. I didn't feel like switching back to the Journey themes and I haven't tired of Roxas yet but I will soon enough.

You might be able to pre-order, then lay-buy once the release date rolls around. My mum used to do that with Christmas presents at EBgames. :P

They didn't specify a region, but I would assume so as this seems to pertain to all limited edition preorders.
Whether you would be able to receive a preorder bonus also depends on the outlet you use. There have been some instances in the past where stores that had offered a bonus would not have them available upon launch because there weren't enough orders for it.

I actually prefer the full color render backdrops, compared to the Japanese 7-11 themes. *u*

So, I'm looking at the official site where they've updated the preorder bonus popup window that opens immediately when you visit it. The image has been updated to include the PS3 theme when you click the America flag, but the European flags remain the same with only the artbook. I'm going to ask to make sure.
Wow, I actually like this theme way more than the 7/11 theme from Japan. I enjoy the argyle, but all the in-game unlockable themes contain the arglye so this will be a nice break. On top of that, IT'S DYNAMIC! I doubt any of the characters will move, but I assume that it will constantly change the worlds you're in. I kind of wish they included every world in KH but the theme itself is so awesome I can deal with it. Now I have an even harder decision on which theme I want to you, I might just go with this one since it's dynamic. That is until 2.5 has a BbS theme that I'm going nuts over.
Fingers crossed for a UK release. I've been wanting an official KH theme since I bought the PS3. The fan-mades I have tried are not very good. This looks fantastic!

Well even if you get it or not, the game itself gives you a theme per game so that's something. It doesn't have the cool icons like this one.

Journey Collectors Edition, which you can buy in stores. Also features Flower, Flow, three of their(TGC)earliest (mini)games and featurettes and trailers for all of them. The three main games also have commentary videos. Worth it.

Usually I see people just selling preorder codes on Ebay after the game comes out without the game for those who didn't pre-order it but IDK if people will sell a theme since I wouldn't expect to go for all that much anyways. It also might expire as you said, but IDK how that works.
I wonder if there's more besides those specific worlds. I would love a Neverland theme.
Its nice that they are giving us these free things with the game! I'm very surprised as well considering its just an HD collection, but I guess that gives the fans it already has more reason to repurchase.
The theme is very nice, just not sure if I can give up my Last of Us theme just yet
The theme looks pretty sweet. Even more incentive to order a great compilation of great games.
Not again, this is the reason I wanna switch countries, I live in a country where those pre-orders do not apply to us, the only way I can get it is by ordering through Amazon (or something similar) but the shipping price is so high, and with our local Customs, some stuff... well lets just say they aren't in the best of conditions.

It was the only choice. Collector's Edition came out a few months after its initial release.

What Echo said, plus the disc installs the game the way a download would. It's not used to run the game itself; just the bonuses and installations.

I am in full agreement with this. They made PSN avatars for Dissidia FF so I think KH should get some. I'd use a Moogle one forever, but any KH character would be fine.

Here's a quick tip for EU and all international fans hoping to get this theme ;)
1. Find someone who works at a US GameStop
2. Have them print out a code for you when the game comes out (I have a friend who works at a GS and apparently workers can print out a receipt with a download code on it and then just "return" the false game even though it was never bought. The code will still works, I know because I've gotten some GS exclusive DLC that way when I preordered at Best Buy to get their preorder exclusive).
3. Create a NA account on your PS3.
4. Log into PSN and download theme.
5. YAY!
I doubt I can get my friend to print out 5 or 7 codes (not sure if he still works at GS) but that is one solution ^_^

If they're a "preorder bonus" (or something included in all first launch copies) then they won't be on the disc if anything it'll be a code packaged with the game if not a code printed out with the receipt at pick up.
^most likely, though we don't quite know when initial printing starts(probably did by now) and it's not there hasn't been on-disc themes in unusual places before. Sony has them for their movies, And some CE games get them too.

You might be right Chaser, while it's possible that they will print out the codes for "pre-ordering" the game, the "pre-order" might actually just be a thing that's included in all first edition copies. The Injustice Wal-Mart "pre-order" gift turned out to be included inside the game case as a code in all first print copies. If it is like that then in order to obtain a code, you need to buy one of the copies in the US when it first comes out which is problematic.
We won't know until the game comes out but I don't think SE has ever done something like that where they include the code inside the game case (for anything that isn't for SQEX Members).

They also did the AR cards in DDD thinking about it now. The codes may just end up coming in the cases, we really won't know until the game comes out :( I wouldn't be shocked if a few codes come up on Ebay though (people are always out there to make whatever they can) so if that's the case, they could try there. Let's wait and see how this turns out.
I'm just waiting in the post to receive a debit card so that I can finally shop online, will probably order this first :D

It would be neat if the theme had custom sound effects from the game just like Final Fantasy XIV's custom theme.
^ That would be cool but as far as I remember, the PSP theme didn't have anything special (can a PSP theme have anything special sound-wise?) so I'm not expecting it, but now that you mention it, that would be a cool plus ;)

Well the PSP themes weren't Dynamic.

Ahhh, but can themes have audio-changes? If only dynamic themes can then I'm really hoping this one has one too :D That would just make it more cool. Based on how SDG are always positioned in the same spot in all the worlds, I'm assuming the dynamic theme will just fade into different worlds. My favorite dynamic theme is the LBP one where Sackboy is running across the world, I like that it constantly is moving, but any dynamic theme (especially KH) is cool in my book...even better if it's FREE!!!!
I'd be perfectly fine without sound effects. The only themes I've got that have sounds, including vintage Mickey, have been a little annoying, for some reason.
Love the artwork, but I don't need the sounds.
