As deviously slick as his silky mane, Scar lusts after the position of king of Pride Rock, going so far as to murder his own brother, Mufasa, in cold blood and blame his nephew for it just to gain the title. His rule over the Pride Lands has led to starvation and despair, yet Scar continues to relish his power. When Simba arrives to overthrow the pretender off his throne, a reckless Scar reveals the true circumstances of Mufasa's death, provoking Simba into a rage which ultimately led to his downfall. However, hatred and jealousy has turned Scar into a Heartless. Even after his apparent death, manifestations of himself began haunting the land, feeding off the doubts in Simba's heart. By overcoming his insecurities, Simba is able to vanquish the spirits once and for all, finally releasing all remnants of Scar's rule from the land. |
