Well, us PLAYERS know Eraqus has an influence of some kind, even if he doesn't actually DO anything.
Or maybe Xemnas was like Xion, and he simply can't REMEMBER?

True, it WAS a sham. But then...does that mean any thing for Xehanort's Keyblade?

Xemnas remembers something, at least. He does talk to Aqua's armor at one point in KH2 Final Mix, calling it his "friend".

It shouldn't. MX is a true master with a true keyblade. It's just that for whatever reason, Ansem & Xemnas aren't able to summon it. Doesn't mean they can't use a keyblade though should they get a hold of it.

It's been pointed out that, that could also being Xemnas' dry humor and him referring to other Xehanorts. Ever seen DDD it's been proposed that could've been Xemnas talking to Ansem or other Xehanorts since DDD revealed Xemnas to be more or less just MX's enforcer for nobodies.

Many theorize it's cause he was going there to reclaim memories via sleep/meditation or something like that. He had no reason to go there if otherwise either though.
Xemnas was a puppet of MX as DDD revealed and if he wanted to talk to armor there was no reason to place it in that specific room. Could've taken it to his private office in TWTNW and talked to it if that's all he wanted from it.

He could've made a seclusive place of any room though so that doesn't hold much water. Heck the room he was in wasn't to secure because Xigbar was ease dropping, it's from Xigbar that we learned Xemnas said "friend".
It's were it was put after that lab was made.
