Don't respect the mods just because they have authority.
The only way for me to respect someone is if they respect me in the first place, they'd have to earn it from me. Half of the people here try to impress others by flaming other members, that does not fly by me.

I respect a good portion of people on the forum. The only people I have no respect for are people who cause major disturbance to the forums. There aren't exactly that many disturbances anymore, since most of them have been banned.
