And hopefully it is promising lol. I just want to get things moving again ;0; Okies quick update -- I'm still on semi-hiatus 'cause I still don't have internet lol. I keep using the data up on my phone, so I don't want to make promises to do stuff then randomly disappear, so that's the main reason why I haven't really done anything with Arcana since I came back unfortunately >.< But I should be getting internet back sometime this week, so when that happens, I will be back full-time to work on this!!
In the meantime, I'll see if I can come up with some ideas and everything on where to go~ It may be a matter of getting the stories moving with just posts at this point D: Not sure if there's really anything I can do at the moment, but I'll try!

Hey guys, I wanted to post a quick update on this. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to bring this back to being active and I'm starting to lose a lot of interest in this as well. I do still want to bring this back, though I don't know how, even if I'm not an active part of the IC part of the roleplay. If anyone has any ideas, please do not hesitate to post them; that would help me out a lot. Otherwise, I'm seriously at a loss and the only thing I can think of is starting completely over from scratch, at least with what's happened in the RP ;__; I'm really sorry, guys.
Ok... I read the future of Arcana post and think... I can run it myself. It's an awesome idea, and I wanna participate, but with a more authoritative stance. If your still down to keep this running, I'm in. I kept up for a minute but slowly faded and dwindled. I have the time and would love to talk to someone about saving this RP section, running it, keeping it running, and also making it entertaining enough for us to keep interest, yet not tire our minds. I've been thinking alot during my absence... And as sad as it is to say it, post like this are why RP's don't last. Radioactivity blaring to the face for 15 min per post can get ruthless when your catching up on so much. Plus no one wants to tire their brain so much they skip on real life. Let me take the brain work and workings of the RP and we will run this as planned, but sadly post, like CD's and Omni's in the Future of Arcana Post, are tiresome to the average lazy american and will cause the less adamant RPers to leave, due to the feel of insignificance. If you can read this post, you probably won't wanna participate as enthusiastically as needed, but if you can get through the majority and still have the will to read this at the end, then you might last long enough to participate and still enjoy yourself. We just need to be true to ourselves as the people trying to keep this thing running.
Long story short. In efforts to keep this running, lets keep things entertaining. Sh!t happens. People get left behind. Characters die in worlds. Whole worlds get destroyed. Characters are forced to become heartless or nobodies... Or both! New Characters are made. Sometimes it's just in time. Random Heartless knight to the chest. Sh!t happens. Don't sh!t happen? >.>

The thing is, that running an RP takes a heck of a lot of time to figure out how things like player vs. player balancing, a general idea of what the plot is doing and where it's going, as well as trying to craft a way to get the players to choose you're plot path or give them something to relieve the darker moments that you're proposing. The thing is, when Rena made this board (which we had voted on) the idea was that we would have a big wide open sandbox adventure. However, the idea hit a snag, mainly ideas that were too grand in scope for the moment we were trying it. Things that we weren't prepared for and had too many scattering ideas. Even sandbox games give you a general direction to go. What ended up happening was that everyone had a different idea of where the story was going to go and at what speed we were going to hurtle into Omni's plot, whatever it was. It is no simple feat to do all of these things with others, which is I think what was the decision, let alone on you're own.
We just think that things will move a bit smoother if we moved into a somewhat structured RP idea with a couple of roles to fill (e.g. Hero, damsel in distress, villain) to give the RP the direction it was lacking before.
Also, that is a Soldier heartless.

It's already been decided and agreed upon that the Arcana sub-section is going to be taken down, so I see no need for us to discuss this any further.
Roleplays die out for a number of reasons; people begin losing interest (as seen in this one), real life demands too much from the roleplayers to allow them to actively participate, etc. This, however, is not one of them. This is in active effort in keeping this roleplay alive, even if it needs to be restarted. This is discussing between members of the community, coming together to figure out a method in order for this all to work, and place in that extra effort to do so. This is how you try to keep roleplays alive.
The truth hurts, but it doesn't make it any less the truth. And just because shit happens, doesn't mean you should expect shit to happen. You can't just sit and hope something happens, you have to put in the effort and make it happen. This is something I learned the hard way from real life. If you want to beat a game, you have to put in the effort to level up and solve the puzzles to do so. If you want to make a beautiful painting, you have to take that first brush stroke. If you want to write a story, you have to put the effort toward writing it. You can't just wait and expect things to magically fall into your lap.
Further, KHI's roleplaying section has held itself in a higher standard for a long time now. Bare minimum effort, be it in the form of roleplays or posts, are often overlooked by most roleplayers due to the rather competitive nature of trying to attract people. If people aren't willing to put in that extra work beyond the minimum, then they often leave to find a different place more suited for their style and needs. It is what it is.
If you want to talk about turning people away from a roleplay, that right there is it. Nobody wants to put the effort into making a character (at least one that's more than a two dimensional piece of fodder), only for it to be randomly killed off, thus putting all that effort in creating and molding that character to waste. Not only is it an annoyance to the roleplayer (unless they specifically agreed to it), it's also a blatant violation of the roleplaying section's rule on powerplaying (again, unless the roleplayer gave permission to do so).
Okay, quick thing, SwagStar... From what I'm getting by your post, you're trying to reboot Arcana yourself. That's cool and all and I understand why, but please, please do not do that. I'm very sorry that I've disappeared over the last few weeks -- I've been insanely busy and I've had zero time for things right now, including this. I wanted to start working on the reboot sooner, but I just haven't had the time; however, I am trying my best to get something up soon.
However, if you're trying to reboot Arcana, please don't. It's going to take time to figure everything out, so everything works together well and so the RP can be successful. Jumping into things (even though I know it's taken a while to get everything started again) isn't going to work out well at all.
Plus, this is also my idea, even though it's an extremely basic idea; it's still my idea and my story for the premise. I don't want someone to take over my idea and run off with it, especially when it hasn't been discussed at all. You're more than welcome to develop your own ideas and start your own roleplay, but please don't take Arcana and run off with it on your own.
Otherwise, I will try my very best to get things running again ASAP, but to be honest, I need help lol. I've been extremely busy and I don't have time to do much of anything besides my work and stuff, so if possible, I would really appreciate some help to get this going again. Besides that, I will try my best to have something up next week so we can start planning everything out so we can get this up and running again. I'm really sorry about the delay, guys.

Hey guys, just an FYI but my computer stopped working and I'm not sure when it'll be fixed but I'm trying to get it fixed ASAP. It's a pain in the butt to post on my phone and I'm also still REALLY busy but I am going to try to start the first stage of the revamp within the next week. I dunno, we'll see. (At this point, I may just start a regular RP with the same storyline and just let everyone run with it lol, but that's up to you guys D
