I've had bits and peices of theory's on the Organization, and the Birth by Sleep characters, in this thread, I will try to bring them together, and I would like to hear all of your opinion, remember to keep an open mind, Kingdom Hearts takes all kinda of turns, anything can happen, so why can't this?
First I would like to identify Xehanort (Modern, Ansem The Wise's apprentice one).
I belive Xehanort is Terra, from Birth By Sleep, I have before I read any theories, or even knew about this website.
Why do I think this: Similar hair (more grown out, and grey from age), eye color (At the end of the Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix trailer, his eyes turn from his original Blue color, to the goldish yellow color of Xehanort, Xehanort SoD, and Xemnas.
Why did his name change from Terra to Xehanort?
Well, in a nutshell, Terra was found by Ansem the Wise, with no memory, exept of the name "Xehanort"
Let's dive deeper into this.
I want to quote Kingdom Heart's wikia to start.
Quote 1: "He is the driving force of the entire series, through his Heartless "Ansem" in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, his Nobody "Xemnas" in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and a possible appearance in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. "
I don't know about you, but I see the part that I bolded as a big hint, whenever something in Kingdom Hearts is "possible" it normallly is.
Quote 2: "Xehanort was found in the paradise world of Radiant Garden by Ansem the Wise, a respected sage and the ruler of the world. Xehanort possessed no memory of his life before this, and was greatly injured, but it is mentioned that he appeared when a Great Keyblade War ended. Ansem took Xehanort in and he became Ansem's foremost apprentice. Although he was confused about his past, Xehanort learned greatly and became quite cunning. Xehanort was described by Ansem as having abilities so remarkable that they could be considered supernatural."
I admit, I don't understand how he ended up in Radiant Garden, however, this is a big hint itself right here. Found greatly injured when a "Great Keyblade War" ended, maybe this is what the Final Mix Scene "Sunset Horizons" was all about; a Keyblade War, and Terra was in this, wasn't he? And I could imagine getting quite a few injuries in a war of such. He also lost his memory? This is why (obivously) he doesn't know his name, or "his life before". Supernatural abilities? Keyblade Wielders tend to have those. xD
Quote 3: "Xehanort's past will play a large part in the series. His past is shrouded in mystery and only hinted at in certain scenes. He himself does not know his past, although it is hinted that his Nobody, Xemnas, knows more details about his past than others are led to believe. What is known is that Xehanort was found after people with Keyblades appeared and fought huge battles. When the battles were over, Xehanort was said to appear without a memory, except for the name Xehanort. The elderly bald man in the Birth by Sleep movie has been confirmed to have the name "Master Xehanort" and also wears similar clothes to Xehanort's Heartless, hinting that this man had or has a connection to the present day Xehanort. The upcoming PSP game, "Birth by Sleep" is said to reveal the long and complex story of Xehanort's past. "
Hints at a connection, I would say so! Spending so long trying to hunt him down, I would say he became obsessed, but he also appears to have some connection to Master Xehanort, a deeper connection to him then Aqua or Ven. As Namine puts it in Chain of Memories, memories are in links, remembering one thing (such as, perhaps, the name Xehanort) can lead to other memories (such as what he looks like/wore) maybe this is why he has the same clothes as Master Xehanort when he becomes a heartless?
Just like Xion took the form of Kairi because she was a strong memory of Sora's, which is who she was created from, his memories, perhaps Xehanort's heartless from projected his somebodies memory of Master Xehanort's clothes, which he remembered when he thought of the name "Xehanort" (the memory links) (I hope that worked)
That covers more then just his name shift.
Now I would like to look toward his weapon shift.
Many of you will leave comments on this like "BUT TERRA HAD A A A UMM KEYBLADE AND UHH XEMNAS GOT DOSE LIGHTSABERS"
Before you have a chance to leave comment's like this, here is my rebuttle.
But first, I would like to look at Riku and his situation when he wielded the Kingdom Key for a short time at the end of Kingdom Hearts.
Riku was able to wield the Kingdom Key because it chose the one with the stronger heart, and for the time being, Riku belived his heart was stronger, and so it was, but when Donald and Goofy returned to Sora, his heart got stronger, and he gained the Kingdom Key back from Riku (I read this on wiki somewhere a while ago, I just can't find it now).
Riku then submit to the darkness, which weakened his heart.
He later gained the ability to wield the keyblade when he learned how to use both the light and the darkness in his favor, but didn't submit to either of them.
I will be touching more on the topic of Riku's keyblade in another thread.
Back to Terra.
There are two theories that support his weapon shift from a Keyblade to his Aerial Blades.
1. As we know, in the Kingdom Hearts universe, the heart is made of up memories, and they make the heart stronger, when Terra lost his memories after the Keyblade War, his heart weakened so he didn't have the strength to wield the keyblade.
2. He didn't know he could wield the Keyblade, until it was too late, he became obsessed with learning about hearts and the darkness, and so, his heart submited to the darkness (this is how his nobody and heartless was eventually formed) and due to this, his heart was not strong enough to wield the keyblade.
He gained the Aerial Blades when he became a nobody, just like the rest of the nobodies gained weapons, or it was taken with him from his somebody (the only theory for how their weapons are formed are from their hearts when they become nobodies, just like Riku's Soul Eater was formed from the darkness of his heart, however, nothing on the Organization's weapons are known and confirmed)
Another quote speaks for himself and puts him in a direct connection to Aqua, which I would say also puts him to a connection with Ven
"Also, in Kingdom Hearts II:Final Mix+, Xemnas travels to the Room of Sleep to visit Aqua's Armor, and addressing it as friend. This ties Xemnas with an alliance to the three warriors in Birth by Sleep. However it would make little sense since Terra shows up in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+. However, Tetsuya Nomura has stated that the battle between Terra and Sora is non-canon, and meant to be merely a test for players. Therefore, Terra could just as easily have been possessed. "
As it says, calling Aqua's armor "friend"...well obviously means he once saw Aqua as a friend. Aqua's friends were Terra and Ven...and...obviously Xemnas isn't Ven.
This also states that Sora's battle with "Terra" isn't accually Terra, it's more of a hint, or like it said, maybe it was possessed, possibly by Xehanort's lost memories? It seems that in the Kingdom Hearts world, memories can't be lost, so maybe the "forgotten" memories manifested themselves into an entity of some kind that possessed Terra's armor? I know it's a stretch but, everything in Kingdom Heart's is.
Or maybe the whole battle was meaning less and was just for fun? Though the dialouge before the fight does lead me to another string of thought's that will be touched down on another time.
What we know about Terra:
The reason for his name shift.
The reason for his Heartless's attire.
The reason for his weapon shift.
Tetsuya Nomura seemed to have covered up his tracks with the Terra battle in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix because he doesn't want to completely mislead us?
If there is anything else you would like to be touched on about how Terra is the Modern Xehanort, leave a comment on it and i will try to touch down on it, keep in mind, these are bits and peices of theories I am doing my best to pull together and elaborate on.
Also, here are some "trivia" of Xehanort I pulled off of Kingdom Heart's wiki. (only posting ones that caught my eye)
If you remove the "X" in Xehanort's name and reassemble it, you can get the phrases/words "no heart" and "another". On a side note, when Xemnas visits the Room of Sleep, his password in the computer is "another", hinting that Xehanort himself realized the anagrams in his name, typed along with the original names of the other apprentices that became Organization XIII's first six members.
(I ment to comment on his name anagram, though since his name is based off of Master Xehanort's, I wonder what this means for MX)
In the scene in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days where Xemnas is conversing with Roxas at the Dark Meridian, Xemnas seems to be almost friendly to Roxas, and puts a hand on his shoulder before leaving. This action along with the rest of the scene almost exactly mirrors Terra's conversation with Ven in a scene in the upcoming game, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.
My next topic (and probably my last because this is much MUCH bigger then I expected)
Braig (The Somebody of Xigbar)
I think Braig was the Dark Apprentice
Now we can't just leave it at that, can we?
NOPE.
Evidence Time!
Let's begin with quotes, curtisy (I spelled that wrong) Of Kingdom Hearts Wikia!
Quote 1: "Organization XIII's Number II. When Sora called out to him, thinking he was Riku, Xigbar gave a curt reply.
His motives and his methods remain unclear. Surely he has a greater goal in mind, but what could it be? "
Greater goal in mind? These are one of those hint's that surely are not just dropped by Tetsuya Nomura for no reason at all.
Quote 2: "Organization XIII's Number II.
He told Sora once that he reminded him of someone else. Puzzling words, indeed...
Some part of him did seem to be enjoying Sora's reaction. "
Reminded him of someone else? Perhaps it was Roxas...perhaps it was Ven?
Or even Terra or Aqua... makes you think. Tetsuya Nomura does like to mislead us.
Quote 3: "On day 352, Xigbar fights Xion in Wonderland in the Tea Party Garden where Axel is watching. Xigbar sees Xion as Ven and is distracted but Axel sees Xion. Xion defeats Xigbar and leaves."
Ah-ha, something I definatly wanted to touchdown on, it seems Xion can reflect memories in some way (and I played, and beat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, imported, not on a ROM because that's fail x3) so Xigbar (or Braig) must have seen Ven some time in the past.
Quote 4: "He also makes a very cryptic remark on how he wasn't "half the hero the others were". Sora simply takes it as an attempt to throw him off. Tetsuya Nomura, character designer for the Kingdom Hearts series, later stated that the "others" Xigbar referred to were Ven, Terra, and Aqua from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, which takes place 10 years before. "
Well that quote says it all, I never knew Tetsuya Nomura confirmed who the other's were, and I thought I had to go through that...but I guess that saves me the trouble...but this does mean that Xigbar (Braig) know of Terra, Ven, and Aqua...perhaps have met them?
Quote 5: "I guess that must be why the Keyblade chose you. But MAN, did it pick a dud this time."
This seems to imply he knew the other hero's, and their skill level, meaning maybe he fought them?
Quote 6: "Xigbar expressed his knowledge about the events of Keyblade warriors that appeared before they found Xehanort."
He seems to show off all he knows about the time of the Keyblade War and Terra, Aqua, and Ven...almost as if he had a/several first person experiences.
Quote 7: "Xigbar has been confirmed to have seen other Keyblade users besides Sora fight, something that was originally implied by his dialogue with Sora. Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that, when he was a human and an apprentice to Ansem the Wise, Xigbar/Braig saw the three warriors Terra, Aqua and Ven battling with their Keyblades."
Or maybe he fought with them, and became an Apprentice to Ansem the Wise later when Master Xehanort was defeated (which is implied because a character that big and powerful wouldn't just dissappear completely within a span of 10 years without a trace by the first Kingdom Hearts.)
Quote 8: "Quote from Nomura Interview: "–Will the relationship between Sora and ‘him, Xemnas, and Xigbar be revealed in Birth by Sleep?
Nomura: Please look forward to it. In Birth by Sleep, the initial Organization members appear, but I can’t say they play an active part. At that time, they were humans. Pay attention to Xigbar in particular. Although, when you think you understand his true nature… The mystery may deepen even more. (Laughs) He has a different standing than the other Organization members, there’s speculation about his original form."
A hint like that is something important...it implies Xigbar has an important role in this game...
Xigbar also acts strikingly similar to Master Xehanort, however I, by no means, will say they are the same perosn because that's crazy, but perhaps an apprentice that is around their Master a lot picks some things up.
Here are some things I accually found stated by "noshade15 "
1.MX seems to be like a man of wisdom and of power, but also I've noticed that the way he acts around Terra, Ven, and Aqua is also "sort-of like joking?" like he seems to have "mixed" personalities. It's tough explain with the right terminology but I hope that you get to understand that it resembles Xigbar's personality in a way.
My comment to this is perhaps he picked up his joking manner from his Master.
2. Now with appearance... It seems obviously that both Xigbar and MX have identical eyes!
Comment: It would seem Terra gained these eyes too, after looking into Kingdom Hearts, maybe your eyes shift to these colors when you become obsessed with Kingdom Hearts, or your heart becomes engulfed with darkness, post your theories to the eye color!
3. Now with appearance... It seems obviously that both Xigbar and MX have identical eyes!
Comment: Like Master like Apprentice?
Now I am going to paraphrase what he says about Xigbar's scars.
Xigbar's scars are worth a thousand words, and must be there for other reason's then cosmetic...because...they are pretty ugly, unlike Saix's scar that is pretty cool (lol). I've also heard two summaries of what happened in the hidden trailer. One is that the helmet is knocked off by Terra's keyblade, and the Dark Apprentice covers his face and runs off, some say this is too hide his identity, but what if it was accually to just cover up a wound let led to his scar, (as most people naturally do, cover up there wound with their hand), and then he ran off to seak medical attention. I'm just throwing this out there...but the width of the scar looks like it could have been done by Terra's keyblade...maybe...it is a bit far out, but who knows.
I also heard the the helmet is pulled off, in which case maybe he covers his face because he is ashamed of his scars, or the Keyblade Hero's would recognize the scars (even if they don't recoginize they face) from someone in their past, either something one of them did to him in the past, or they have seen him in the past, and the scars made him stand out.
Also, Terra seemed to have a closer connection to the antaganists of the game (Maleficent and Master Xehanort) so perhaps he did to the Dark Apprentice too, which would explain why Xigbar is Number II, though Xehanort lost his memories, as stated above, Xemnas seemed to remember much more then he let on, so maybe he recognized Xigbar as the Dark Apprentice and they had some kind of friendship or something and he made him Number II. Or again, post your own theory on this...to be honest I lost my trail of thought on this one.
Also his weapon. The Keyblade, he could have lost it by the same theories I used for Terra, I pisture he could have been injured after that battle too and forgot his memory, however, this theory may make more sence. Master Xehanort commented on how he was infused with the darkness, perhaps that took over his heart, and once again, he lost the ability to wield the keyblade because his heart was too weak, or after he was defeated (which I think it's safe to say he probably was) the darkness left him and he lost his memories because all of his memories were part of the darkness in his heart, still similar to my theories to Xehanort.
Or Hey, Just maybe Braig is another major character who just hasn't been reveiled yet in the story, and the Dark Apprentice is someone different entirely, who knows? Maybe in a couple months the Dark Apprentice will be revielded like Xion was.
Now, my theories are far out there, and it was hard for me to elaborate and pull together these thoughts into a put together theory, but I did my best, and I hope they make sense, if not, post your own theories, please no blunt comments such as "NOT TRUE" I want to hear you contridict me.
(P.S. This took four hours...SO YOU BETTER ENJOY IT >:O.....^.^;

(P.S. This took four hours...SO YOU BETTER ENJOY IT >:O.....^.^;
