Isn't Rapunzel supposed to be done in the 3-D type digital art? I don't see her fitting well with the others.

Yeah, but the movie is going to be colored in a 2D water color way. So Disney is trying something new with the Princess franchise, as well as creating a new program to make this movie.
Besides i bet Disney will have a traditionally draw form of her so she can match the rest. Like when Disney had 2D versions of Enchanted.

Oh that sounds very cool...watercolors...so do you know if it's true that they were going to add the girl from Enchanted but decided against it?

No she won't be added to the franchise because Disney doesn't want to pay Amy Adams every year since the character is based off of her.

With simple instructions, large photographs, and charming character art, the book features everything from Tiana's famous beignets to a bayou smoothie. A star-rating system lets kids know how difficult the recipes are and the characters offer cooking tip.

The second book has a stunning looking cover for the Royal Ball that will continue the story of Tiana and Naveen after the end of the movie. Thet book, with text written by Natasha Anastasia Tarpley, is illustrated by Disney Animator James Finch - a not so familiar name to the fans, as he worked his way up the Disney Studios through the Disney sequels like Pocahontas 2: Journey to a New World, and Mulan 2 as continuity coordinator.

It kinda saddens me that people always have to pull out the "racist card" when it comes to kid movies like these.

Many past Disney movies had alot of hidden sexism, racism and such but kids never noticed these things. It's the adults and it's becoming an annoying trend. Why don't they stop making assumptions, sit back and enjoy the movie as it is?
Bleh.

Anywayz, I'm definately going to see this. Maybe this can be the start of Disney going back to its youthful years :]

I wholeheartedly agree with this. It's not like the kids are going to be disapointed because the black princess is getting with the white prince. Disney could havejust done a white princess and there woud have been no so called 'controvery'. But there always has to be whingers. Have you every heard the nurserey rhyme Ba Ba Blacksheep? Somehow somebody changed it to Ba Ba Rainbow Sheep. It is sad that this happens.

Ok, here are 5 brand new sneak peaks of the Princess and the Frog
I really like how Anika's voice really goes with the jazzy/R&B rhythm in the music.
And as you can see by these sneak peaks, Prince Naveen is definitely not white, so all those racist people can stop freaking out! Even though there was nothing to freak out about in the first place.

People never stop their god damn bitching.

The trailer makes the movie look good and hopefully if it succeeds will make Disney rethink its whole approach

(Pixar will always be better)

The Princess and the Frog will be getting a place in Disney Wold and Disney Land.

Disneyland and Walt Disney World plan to add a Mardi Gras-style musical cavalcade called Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee for the 2009 holiday season, according to theme park officials. The jazz-infused “riverboat extravaganza” will debut at Disney World on Oct. 26 and Disneyland on Nov. 6. Both shows will run through Jan. 3.
Tied to the upcoming “The Princess and the Frog” hand-drawn animated movie, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee will feature a procession of jazzy musicians and performers parading through New Orleans Square at Disneyland and Frontierland at Disney World.

As the “second-line” procession reaches the Rivers of America dock, a group of pre-selected theme park visitors will board the waiting riverboat (the Mark Twain at Disneyland and the Liberty Belle at Disney World) where Princess Tiana and other “The Princess and the Frog” characters will greet them. After departing, the riverboat will stop along the riverfront for a performance including songs from the film. The show will be repeated several times a day, with viewing areas along the waterfront. Mice Age reports that the pre-selected riverboat riders will be able to pose for photos and get autographs from Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen and Louis the singing alligator after the performance.

“The Princess and the Frog,” a Jazz Age story featuring Disney’s first African American princess and set in New Orleans’ French Quarter, opens in theaters Dec. 11.
