A nice theory, but if players chose the shield or staff over the sword for their particular game, then Square wouldn't have the option of negating their choice in future games. Well, I guess they would, but if that were the case, they wouldn't have given players the choice to begin with.

Either way, I always wondered how Riku got the Soul Eater/where Malificent dug it up from. Not to mention in KH1, Riku's all 'there can only be one chosen keyblade master D<' then in KH2 he's all, 'oh, nevermind ^^'.

As with all theories, that one has very valid points and some holes...thanks for bringing it up though ^^

How are we to assume that Riku had an Awkening? Sora did and he got someone else's Keyblade.

It's accetable because Im pretty sure he sleeps
the awakening was dream a after all
as for finding a basis for it SCREW THAT TO MUCH WORK
NOT ENOUGH REWARD

The Awakening process actually happens. It's not JUST a dream, as Xemnas was looking for that place.

Another idea is that the keyblades are pieces of the worlds heart

Which could explain why the resemble
the area from which they originated

I thinks might be possible due to how the POH keyblade was made
(not so much as the exact way it was made
but the concept of how it was made using hearts)

So I keyblade could be made using hearts
then cetainly a keyblade made from a piece of a worlds heart is plausible

But then, Sora was given a keyblade from Auron right? What was it called...the guardian soul or something. Does that mean that Auron made the keyblade or gave a keychain to sora or something? Actually, where DID that keyblade come from?

It's just a Keychain. You could pretty much stick anything to a Keyblade and it could take form, but it has to be special. This actually goes back to my other theory, the living Keychain theory.

But it takes place many years after KHII

So Riku is older, I made Sora and Kairi die (Story will explain), and there are many young keyblade wielders who need to find their purpose with the keyblade

Way to the Dawn was around before Soul Eater. Ven wielded Soul Eater in the Gathering. And, how can MX or DS hold keyblades if they are evil

Nomura himself said that The Way to Dawn was created by using the Soul Eater as an intermediary.

TLS= The Lingering Sentiment, which is the boss that resembles Terra in KH2FM ( it's what he's called in the Jiminy Journal). Thing is, Nomura said that whether he was really Terra or not was uncertain and on the whole, irrelevant.
