I have a feeling that HotD will become more important in a story about Aqua, probably BbSv2 if that is the mysterious game that still has yet to come. It would seem fitting considering HotD didn't die as far as we know, and Aqua has had 10 years time to encounter it again. The only reason I would go against HotD is that the RE Unknown was hidden among images of all people who needed to be saved (not really hidden, more like shown). Anyways, HotD doesn't really have anything to do with those people besides Aqua facing off against him, I think HotD might come back and fight Sora and co. when he goes to the RoD to save Aqua.

See, but we also see Guardian, so I don't think it's all people we need to save unless HotD is someone who is held captive by darkness or something. I really hoping HotD does get a more relevant role, since he seems really enigmatic, and when you think about it, it would make more sense for the purpose of the Secret Episode since it doesn't do that much except show what we could encounter in BbSv2 and add the fact that there is going to be some sort of continuation.

Hell, development was going on the same time as DDD, right? It's possible HotD was thrown in to FM because he was/is someone/something important to KH, to an extent. Which, in my opinion, I think would be perfect.
