who do you think this is? Is it connected to Sora in any way? Maybe even Riku? I believe it is the main antagonist of DDD, other than YMX of course.

I think it does have something to do with Sora. I also think that it either is, or was Vanitas. In some of the KH novel work they say that Vanitas didn't always look like Sora. They describe Vanitas having that appearance(minus the black hooded suit) of black face and glowing red eyes and that the more time that passed, the more of Ven that came back to him, thus Sora's face.
That was only said in the novels though so we can't take it as granted.
It is a possibility, but that's it.
In fact, it was said that Vanitas had a black face and Unversed-eyes in the novel before Sora's newborn heart connected with Ven's.
Then Vanitas immdiately gained Sora's face because Sora's heart filled up exactly that part that was broken off from Ven's heart.
This broken off shard however forms the core of Vanitas's dark heart and is still connected with Ventus, hence the change in Vanitas's appearance.
It hadn't anything to do with "time-passing" or "more of Ven coming back".
It is a possibility, but that's it.

As silly as this sounds, I think it may be a Dream Eater :\ It has the exact same eyes as a nightmare Wondernyan. (There was also a Dream Eater acting/appearing as Pinocchio, so... it's a possibility? In another form, of course.)
They showed the Guardian right after it, and with the way there was a Ventus Sentiment shown right before the sleeping Ven, there could be a correlation.

I don't doubt that it's Vanitas' Heartless or something Idk.
Gelandporn also already noted this one. These red eyes are nightmare eyes, not unversed.
I personally tend to think it could maybe the combined torment connected to Sora (meaning Aqua's, Terra's, Ven's, Xion's, Naminé's and Roxas's pain thrown together) given a form as a big, humanoid nightmare.

Maybe it's Xehanort as a Dream Eater? He already has a Heartless and Nobody, so it isn't too far of a stretch.

I'm going to cast my lot with Vanitas. Just because this form was only shown in the graphic novel doesn't mean it can't be introduced to us in this game. I think it would be pretty dramatic.

I think that if it is Vanitas that Ven and Sora's hearts are now seperated, causing Vanitas' appearance to change.

It is maybe The Torment, which is a theory I like. I keep thinking about the BBS FM secret ending with Aqua fighting that huge heartless with red eyes.
I personally could see it being Xion or another Replica maybe.
Xion had a blank face in the beginning of Days, no features whatsoever. She only looked the way that she did to Roxas, due to the memories of Kairi or something.
I'd like to think that maybe this is something that Xion would look like without any memories.
Meaning that it's basically what any Replica would look like, during the early stages of it's creation. Repliku only looked like he did, since Vexen used Riku's memories to mold him.
I'd really like to see this Red Eyed person as a Replica.....it could also give one reason to the many, many Xehanorts that are supposed to appear.
They all could be Replicas.
Hell YMX could in the end be said to be like Xehanort's perfect Replica, and this Red Eyed one is just one that's not so perfect, or even failed.
If it is the torment, like others said, manifesting into a physical form....then that'd be cool really. Then I'd really want that thing to be a boss, if not a final boss in the end.
Or you know, it could have something to do with Sora's darkness....but the Red Eyes, just throw me off on that. Since Heartless have Yellow Eyes.
The only one thing I don't quite agree with this statement, is that technically in theory, Vanitas should then look exactly like Ven.
But if in the end they say this is what he actually looks like, minus the connection to Sora, then IMO it's to add even more appearances to this game. And from what I've seen, there are quite a lot of different models in this game as is....I'm really liking the capacity that the 3DS holds. I really need to get myself one.

It makes sense that it would be Vanitas. He lost his body, so his... heart(?) is wandering, as Sora's did, but that was what his body looks like. or sumthin
