Yeah, that would my guess too. I rather have Osaka work on the next game since they have the most experience already. As for the Disney+ series, This is my hypothesis and assuming it is not a retelling of the series. They could dedicate a season for each trio and see what they been up to in that year. It could also help with the content drought between The next game and KH4

I honestly think it's more likely this Disney+ series will be a retelling of KH1. A way to get in new fans who have never touched a KH game before and Disney+ has more than 60 million subscribers worldwide. That's a large pool of people to pull from and if it's a success, those subscribers who haven't touched a KH game, would want to start getting into the games.

My predictions:

1) Next game will be DDD 2.0 in the quadrilateral place with a command style combat system a la BBS and DDD
2) The Disney+ show will focus on Mickey and what he's doing. I'm predicting this just based on the fact that Mickey makes a much better lead for a TV show than some anime kids
3) Maybe one more side game after that but if not, KH4 comes out soon and it goes returns to Sora, Donald, Goofy party

I don't see there ever really being a quasi-remake of KH1 even on TV because Nomura and SE just don't work like that. They'd probably pull a FF7R and reveal that it's actually a sequel/reboot to the current KH saga in the show

Since I don't know English very well, I can't understand everything from the end of the game.
However, inspired by the theory of Hirokey, I decided to build my own based on it. Quadatrum personally in my understanding is a world where all things and ideas that could not appear in the main world converge. (Where all the main action takes place)
Which makes it a parallel world by the standards of the world we know in the multiverse, but also distinguishes it from other worlds and makes it unique even among them.
Regarding the nature of Yozora and the Nameless Star, if Quadatrum is really a world in which all ideas that have not received a material shell in the world known to us are received in this, then Yozora can indeed be associated with at least Riku and possibly Sora. What if he's the failed nobody Sora and Riku? Regarding Riku, his body was taken over by Ansem and a little more and Riku could have had his own nobody, but it didn’t appear since Riku didn’t formally l his heart, so his is nothing more than an idea that got corporeality in Quadatrum nobody.
The same goes for Sora, when he freed his heart, his nobody was supposed to appear, however due to the fact that Sora had two hearts inside him including himself and the fact that he was heartless for too little, Roxas and Namine came out very unique. I mean Roxas is much more Ventus than Sora, and Namine is generally a unique creature that is neither Kairi nor Sora in full measure. Which essentially makes the real nobody Sora non-existent. So Yozora might be some sort of merger between nobody Riku and Sora. Ditto for the Nameless Star, she may very well be the real Kairi, for since Kairi is the princess of nobody's heart, she could not reproduce her therefore in the world of KH, its nobody is just an idea, while Quadatrum is a reality. The unnamed star actually looks very similar to Kairi (Eye color, hair color, full lips)
Regarding the origin of the Quadatrum, it is possible that it is a product of the creation of the Masters of Masters or the Book of Prophecy. For as far as I know (If I'm not mistaken) Dandelions also fled to the reality created with the help of the Book of Prophecy.

I honestly think it's more likely this Disney+ series will be a retelling of KH1. A way to get in new fans who have never touched a KH game before and Disney+ has more than 60 million subscribers worldwide. That's a large pool of people to pull from and if it's a success, those subscribers who haven't touched a KH game, would want to start getting into the games.

I can see the different seasons representing the different games in the franchise. However, I believe there's going to be no Final Fantasy or TWEWY characters as this series would rather flesh out the original cast.

If one of upcoming games is assuredly Riku and Sora/Yozora in Quadratum, then I hope another is centered on Aqua and Kairi that involves Subject X. I think there could be a story there that would also loop in the Twilight Town gang with Lea and Isa’s connection to Subject X.

Then the Disney+ series with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy on their mission to learn more about the Ancient Keyblade Masters maybe?

To add on to this a bit, with Luxu and the Foretellers also being active in the Realm of Light again, I think there is a lot they could explore while Sora and Riku are out of reality. It’d be nice to get the ball rolling with that to show the world doesn’t stop turning just because those two aren’t around to save it. Then when they do get back to reality, they can be thrust right back into the action.

I just beat the main story a while ago as well.

I was thinking Yen Sid was going to say to investigate the recompleted members of Organization XIII for clues - IE Lauriam/Elrena (KHUX/world line jumping connection) and Emyd/Durol (unreality connection). I was kind of disappointed that none of the characters seemed to think about that, especially when it was pieced together that Xehanort knew about unreality for a long time.

I also think that Riku will encounter Subject X. She was probably sent to Quadratum, which explains why Xehanort gave Kairi that speech before throwing her into space.

I don’t think so going off the Secret Report she wrote. She says she was taken away by Luxu (presumably) and she writes that it has been years since that happened, suggesting her writing it was fairly recent. I also figure she had to be in reality when writing it for us to be able to find it. So I think she is most likely still somewhere on the reality side.

Also, Xehanort didn’t have anything to do with her disappearance. If he thought she was there, I don’t think Ansem SoD would have interrogated Ansem the Wise about her whereabouts.

That's true. And since Ansem the Wise clearly didn't reveal anything about unreality, it must have been Luxu who took her and she's in reality somewhere.

Already had that thought in the other thread and yes, that can very easily happen. Duplicates are easily imaginable both because its basically an AU and Nomura is the writer.

But more than that, the world/ the other reality itself could have completly new rules to concepts we already know. There shouldn't be Heartless and such creatures, since the Realm of Darkness is supposed to be only on the side of reality we know of (together with the Realm of Light, Dreams and such). And so without a World of Light or Darkness, what can we aspect on the other side regarding these elements in this unreality?

Thinking about it, the Foretellers, don't they have underneath their masks the faces of familiar characters? It was once shown here (not this thread, somewhere in the KH3 part I think), through some assets if I'm remembering correctly. Since one of them had the face of Ansem SoD it was debunked (mostly? to a part?) as placeholders. But the other faces were the ones of Kairi (Ava), Terra (Aced), Aqua (Invi) and Ventus/ Roxas (Gulla). It's still farfetched, since it would also need some reality swapping, memory loss/manipulation (they atleast never hinted at originating from somewhere else) and difference in time flows between the realitys to make it possible (which aside from the last one is with MoM as their master not completly impossible I would say), but we could already have our AU variants. The only one who is giving me trouble on this thought is Ira. I mean body hopping seems to be a thing too, but an AU where they have (or better had) a Xehanort/Ansem Seeker of Light?

The only thing about the Nameless Star is that I feel like she would have mentioned that her name was Sora, after several people mention the name "Sora" to her. I don't think there'd be any reason to hide her identity to people trying to help her. However, it would reflect Riku/Yozora trying to save a Sora.

Yozora being the unreality's Riku makes sense. I theorized for a while that Riku/Yozora were connected somehow. I think Yozora is the Riku of unreality - however the events of unreality unfolded differently. Yozora says the opening lines of KH1 - which I assume Riku would have (instead of Sora) IF he didn't succumb to darkness.

I don't know what to think about the Luxord thing. Xemnas seems sure that Luxord has connections to the ancient keyblade past. Which would mean he is from the past in reality. Does that mean in unreality, there is some sort of similar war going on without keyblades?

This makes me remember what MoM did in the secret video: he put his hands over the unreality moon to look like Kingdom Hearts. What if that's saying unreality doesn't have a Kingdom Hearts or MoM plans to create a Kingdom Hearts in unreality?

Here's some of my theories that are more than likely wrong but I'm going to give a crack at it.

This is just based on everything we know just at this point. Includes some Dark Road and Union X stuff.

Master of Masters

- MOM is old enough to have seen the world end almost once to the ultimate darkness. (the keyblade war he mentioned to have witnessed).

- Once that keyblade war ends, MOM travels to Quadratum and adapts to their technology which is far more advanced than Daybreak Town

- MOM returns to Daybreak Town and carries over Quadratum technology

- Over time, everyone wants that Lux goodness and it starts sparking darkness in the world once more

- MOM realizes that the world is likely to end once more and he can't stop it, atleast for now.

- MOM sets up the pods to be connected between Quadratum and Daybreak Town.

• Daybreak Town/Scala ad Caelum worldline - Ventus, Skuld/Subject X and Brain are placed into sleep and are shot to different points in time. I don't remember if the pods at the End of the World in KH1 are the same ones we've seen in Union X but there could be a connection.
• Quadratum worldine - Elrena and Lauriam end up being transported here. Demyx and Luxord could be added depending on if they are featured in Union X soon or it's possible they've been from Quadratum this whole time. It would make sense for why we have not run into their somebodies in the current timeline because they're not even in Sora's reality. Skuld and even a nobody Strelitizia could be currently residing in this world too.

- MOM has been in Quadratum since his disappearance from Union X and has been molding the world to his liking

- In order to balance out the light/darkness in this world, certain peoples' hearts are being placed into gigas or machines in order to control the population. These hearts could also be used for powering a device or weapon.

• As a side note, could it be possible that Luxu is body swapping this way by use of technology and magic?
• Luxu has control over the power of space and could have likely transported back and forth to this world each time he required a new form. He probably brought Skuld there so what's to say he can't come and go as he pleases.

The Black Box

- I thought about the old saying of "keep your friends close but your enemies closer." What if the MOM ended up essentially keeping a piece of the darkness? Like a piece of its heart or essence. Opening the box would unleash full darkness on the world and doom everyone. However keeping it in a place you know where it is 24/7 is better than just stashing it somewhere for any stranger to find.

- The box has some kind of stipulation or requirement for it to reappear. Examples: A certain amount of time needed to pass or a certain amount of darkness/light energy was required (like the keyblade war)

- I don't think Luxu lost the box necessarily but I do think he was testing things out with some of the Organization members. He more than likely knows about Larxene and Marluxia but never suspected Luxord or Demyx as those two could be originally from Quadratum and they simply never met.


Yozora

- What we know:

• Claims he does not actually look the way we see him
• Someone else's heart is occupying his body
• Is aware of who Nameless Star and Sora are

- So guesses on where the real Yozora is and who replaced him:

• Original Yozora - He could be some kind of artificial hybrid of Sora and/or the MOM. He became his own person and developed a relationship with Nameless Star. Eventually Nameless Star goes to the Final World. Yozora's heart and body are separated. However Yozora's body was placed in stasis because he is an artificial being. His heart is probably being used for one of the MOM's experiments.
• Baldr - Nameless Star could be his sister and he went searching for her after her disappearance. He ended up in Quadratum and lost to MOM when he found out the truth. His will to find his sister was so strong that his heart ended up possessing Yozora's body. As far as knowing Sora, he could’ve learned about him through word of mouth or meeting the somebodies of Luxord and so forth.
• Braig - Like Baldr, there is a possibility of a screw up in the body swapping process that he ended up taking over Yozora's body after Luxu took his. He could technically be from Quadratum and have some kind of relationship to Nameless Star (siblings perhaps?). As far as Sora is concerned, again he could have learned about him through interactions with other people. As a super reaching point, they both do use crossbows and have the ability to manipulate space/the environment. Of course, we could say that's always been Luxu's thing, but we also don't know if that was something he adopted after acquiring Braig's body too.

I highly doubt that Nameless Star's name is Sora. Surely Yozora knew his own (girl?)friend's name or realised that the boy with weird big shoes isn't the girl he was saving from giant mech robots

Honestly, though, if Nameless Star's name reveals to be Sora, I feel like it'll be a really cheap plot twist. All that analysing and hard work by the fanbase pushed aside for "Haha, nope. We're talking about another Sora, and all that saving stuff is just one absolutely giant misunderstanding on Yozora's part." It just seems... so unlikely.

Her name could be "Hoshi" which is Japanese for "star," or "Tsuki" which is Japanese for "moon." Just like how "Yozora" is Japanese for "night sky."

But if Nameless Star is Kairi's "unreality version" just like how Yozora is Sora's "unreality version," then maybe... uhh... "Tsunami"? I don't know lmao

It's more likely to be "Hoshi" or something star-related because of her star necklace, her resemblance to Stella from Versus XIII (Stella = "star" in Latin) and the fact that she's a literal talking star in the Final World. She's also likely Yozora's love interest. Yozora = Night Sky = Noctis. Noctis' love interest = Stella

It could also be "Tsuki" or something moon-related because "Lunafreya" translates to "Moon Lady." I don't know a lot about what happened with FFXV and Versus XIII, did Nomura have any say in the actual development of the new characters, not just Square basing off the FFXV characters off of the Versus XIII characters?

Whatever it is, Nameless Star seems to be a mix of Kairi and Stella... and maybe Sora?
Yozora seems to be a mix of Riku and Noctis... and... Sora? Possibly?

As I said in another thread, I think that Yozora is Sora's unreality version and that they are exact opposites personality-wise.

I think that it's something along the lines of the plot of Inception, where Yozora has to kill Sora in a dream to wake him up in reality?

Or maybe, Yozora has to get Sora to join the Reaper's Game, which then the former has to save the latter from... for whatever reason?

... That's just me wanting a TWEWY sequel. And for Joshua to fricking explain what Inversion is and not keep us theorising for another twenty years.

But what's that about Yozora being a commander, then? Where's his army? As far as we've seen, there's only Aegis, Magia, Nameless Star and Luxord. And if I was right about the travelling group part, why would a commander travel so much without an army? Why would a commander be a king?

Yozora, Aegis, Magia, Hoshi (Nameless Star), possibly Luxord and possibly Demyx chose to fight back.

I have a theory that the Gigas, the giant robots in the Verum Rex trailer that Yozora was fighting, were actually man-made and not invaders from somewhere else. Perhaps they were originally supposed to be Yozora's army, but for some reason turned against them? Does Yozora have to reclaim his throne from the Gigas? Does Yozora have to reclaim his HEART from the Gigas?

But why would they need an army? What are they protecting? Unless... They originally weren't meant to protect. They were meant to invade.

I just find it interesting that Sora's symbol is a crown and "Verum Rex" translates to "True King"... So, Yozora is the true king? Does he have to somehow... reclaim his throne that someone stole from him? Perhaps he's just next in line to the throne...

Lots of things are also pointing to Yozora losing his heart somehow.

"No, this isn't the real world, and I am here. But this isn't what I really look like. How'd you recognize me as Yozora?" - Yozora, Final World Dream?

"Verum Rex" translating to "True King," as if there's a false king? Sora? MoM? Or perhaps someone else?

Whatever Yozora is the king of, it isn't Quadratum, as I'll explain in section 10.

Sounds like a post-apocalyptic start. And joining that with the Gigas... Giant Mech Robots have taken over the world and the human race is struggling to survive? It also sounds like it's been going on for a long time... How did the Gigas become sentient? By gaining hearts, of course. And how did they get hearts? By either stealing others' hearts or a human stealing hearts for them and putting them in the Gigas.

The Gigas stole Yozora's heart and became sentient. And before Yozora could fully fade away, someone replaced his heart to save him, possibly with their own.

... I'm just throwing this out there without any evidence, but... Sora? Perhaps a future Sora? It just seems like something Sora would do.

But then again, why would Yozora look like that if Sora gave up him his heart? So maybe it's closer to Riku? Or, the Quadratum equivalent of Riku? After all, we know that Princesses of Heart can do mysterious things, such as turning Heartless back into their human form... And if this place is opposite to the reality we know... Then perhaps Opposite!Riku could be a Prince of Heart?

My theory is that by this mysterious person saving Yozora by using their heart, Yozora took on their appearance or at least part of it. But there's also someone walking around with his actual body and posing as him with his throne. Maybe... the Master of Masters?

But of course, there's the question. Who first gave the Gigas sentience?
My theory is that its Luxu who put Skuld's heart in a Giga, turning it sentient, as we know that Luxu kidnapped Subject X.

It sounds interesting that Nameless Star says that Quadratum is the biggest city she knows, or something along those lines, implying that she knows of and has been to multiple cities. She also evidently hesitates for a while, and by referring to Quadratum as "the biggest city" she knows, she doesn't sound really... familiar with it. Which means that although she's from "the other side," she probably doesn't live in Quadratum? Like, if Quadratum was the city I was most familiar with then I probably wouldn't hesitate that long, and also refer to it with more... affection? Like, call it "home" or something? She doesn't really refer to Quadratum with any emotion whatsoever, as if the only attribute to it that makes it different to other cities she knows is that it's "big."

Which means that Yozora, Aegis, Magia and her (and possibly Luxord) are probably a travelling group... trying to reclaim Yozora's throne?

Yozora also mentions that "[He] accidentally stumbled into [Shibuya] and went through some trials," meaning that he isn't originally from there.

Hype-Chan from TWEWY looks like a mix of Neku, Shiki, Beat, Rhyme and Joshua. Perhaps she could be a Replica filled with fragments of the hearts' of main characters...?

If Yozora tries to kill Sora to get him into the Reaper's Game, then who would be his partner?
Neku is already playing a game with Sho, unless all the time is wrong and that's already over, which looks likely based on DDD.

In a post-apocalyptic universe where neither light nor darkness exists, Yozora, Aegis, Magia, Nameless Star (whose name is possibly Hoshi) and possibly Luxord and Demyx are fighting for survival. The six of them have realised that the world they're living in is not the real world, and that they are in fact opposites of their real-world counterparts. Yozora himself is next in line to be king of his realm. The world is plagued by Gigas, giant robots who have gained sentience by stealing others' hearts. Leading them is the infamous Master of Masters, who has stolen Yozora's appearance and right to the throne of Yozora's realm. He is assistant by his loyal follower, Luxu. Yozora and his allies are travelling the world, ridding it of these deadly machines one city at a time.

The Gigas were originally created as an army to invade another reality, and the leader of this army was Yozora. However, Luxu gave a Giga sentience by placing the heart of a kidnapped girl inside it, and this turned the machine into a sentient being. This girl was kidnapped from a research facility, where she was called "Subject X," however Luxu knew that her real name was actually "Skuld."

Giga!Skuld successfully managed to remove her former commander's heart, but just as Yozora was about to fade away, Opposite!Riku, who was a Prince of Heart in this world, managed to replace his heart with Yozora's and Yozora somehow retained his memories and selfhood. However, this killed Opposite!Riku.

However, Giga!Skuld still had Yozora's heart, which she gave to the Master of Masters. MoM used Yozora's heart to take on his true appearance, and with it his right to be king of Yozora's realm.

Yozora (in the body of Opposite!Riku) had allies willing to fight for him as they believed that he was the true king: Aegis, Magia, Hoshi (who is Opposite!Kairi), Luxord and Demyx. However, Hoshi is killed in one particularly brutal battle.

Yozora was so devastated that he almost gave up. However, he found a black box with the word "Xsuper" on the top of it, and when he opened it he discovered a sentient being of darkness. He made a deal with Darkness that if he brought Sora to Quadratum then he could get Hoshi back. Yozora did not trust Darkness, however, and was planning on turning against it/them.

So that brings us to ReMind. Yozora discovers that the only way to bring Sora to Quadratum was to wake him up by killing him in a dream. He hopes that Darkness will keep its/their word.

 

[Ballad of Caius]

It's gonna be live action worlds (but slightly different because they can't afford to pay likeness fees for every single actor in those movies lol). It'll be a soft remake of KH1 but way more dark.

Huuuuh...

A KINGDOM HEARTS soft-reboot using live action worlds with Riku probably as protagonist, who was the original Kingdom Key wielder, makes a looooooot of sense. Especially if you take into account that this could be a DDD Vol. 2 with Riku/Sora or Riku/Yozora. Hell, maybe a DDD/BBS Vol. 2: Riku/Sora main game, but there's a Secret Episode where you play as Yozora.

I can see the different seasons representing the different games in the franchise. However, I believe there's going to be no Final Fantasy or TWEWY characters as this series would rather flesh out the original cast.

Now that I think about it:
KINGDOM HEARTS could have, not one, but TWO reboots:
* Riku/Sora/Yozora soft-reboot with live action worlds
* Mickey Disney+ show centered on exploring KH1 worlds in order to find out about Sora/Lost Master

Good way to get new fans into the series.

Oy…I spend one day breaking my new laptop in, and ideas are already popping everywhere, from feasible ones to questionably impossible.

(Wall of Text about Yozora=Riku and KH)

I’d agree to that if it wasn’t for the name. Getting the elephant out of the room, blah blah blah Noctis and Versus so on and so forth yadayada, Yozora’s name ultimately stems from a connection to Sora. Other than that white hair and the black clothes, which somehow became a fashion statement since II, I’m still skeptical on who’s tied to who.

Well, KH is referred to as the “unseen land” in the game. It’s most likely they don’t have a KH there, or if there is, it’s most likely unseen too and deep within their world and since it might be unseen, how do they know it’s even there? Unless, of course, the ancient wielders of the past either a) blabbed, or b) some of the were ancestors to the current residents of that unreality. The problem is, and while we don’t know if it is for certain since the characters are only theorizing, that world is beyond light and darkness. If the components aren’t there to begin with, how can the finished product (or origin?) even exist?

I’m going to be honest; I’m more interested in Yozora’s story than a bunch of rehashed screw-ups who failed momentously on doing one simple job and sending innumerable child soldiers to their deaths. I don’t care about their war crimes; I’m just bored of them because they should’ve just died a looong time ago.

However, they’re there, Luxu brought them back, and we have a new rulebook on 4D chess. So I have to think about that too.

What I want to know is, why would they want to bring back the Master to that particular point in time, and why couldn’t the Master just do it himself? Luxu’s report implies that not only did he want to bring the others back, but also the Master, who clearly wasn’t missing at all and not trapped in another worldline. The guy practically comes and goes as he pleases, and seems deathless, or at least ageless. Is it because Luxu can body swap and therefore there’s someone to remember the Master? Then why bring the other foretellers back?

I think that’s about it.

Finally, why is the insignia on Yozora’s coat/jacket designed the way it is?
